A fun little adventure involving aliens, doppelgängers, robot sharks, a giant evil head, and Tony learning to rely on his teammates for the first time in his life, lol. It’s always nice when he does admit he needs help and isn’t just an arrogant jerk all the time.
Some of the words and dialogue were formatted with different, colorful font, plus several of the illustrations were incorporated into the story which made it sometimes confusing to follow but also a really cool addition that kids especially will like.
A fun, well written story!
‼️Content‼️
Violence: fighting with weapons, superpowers, and hand to hand (not detailed); alien dogs and a robot shark try to rip a character apart (not detailed)
Other: superheroes/supervillains/superpowers; tentacle, shape shifting aliens; a portal; aliens kidnap and swap places with people
This book seemed a little boring for me from the start as a 17 year old but i recommend this book to be interesting to children under the age of 12 year old.
The book talks about Iron Man losing his fellow super friends which makes him take it up himself to find them and rescue them. This book is full of drawings and adventures which grabs the attention of any young reader. Beyond the fun and excitement, the book teaches valuable lessons about teamwork, courage, and facing challenges head on. These are important messages for young readers as they learn about friendship and resilience in their own lives.
So far this book seems be getting more interesting the more I read it but this book is more fitted for younger readers then teens and older people. Overall I think it is a interesting and good book for marvel fans who like Iron Man.
A great Marvel Chapter Book about Tony Starks and his inventions. Every bad guy wants his invention but it will be almost impossible because of the Iron Man and S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents. The book features Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow, Nick Fury, and Others. Overall this is a great book. I love the colorful bold words and the bold graphic.
Entertaining enough for the kids and typeset with a pretty cool pop-out comic book styles for key words and phrases, the story is a generic ‘rah-rah teamwork’ story and not really memorable.
I read this with my reading buddy who is a 9 year old boy and in third grade ( he is reading below grade level but his comprehension is fantastic). I HIGHLY suggest these books to any struggling boy reader. Yes, of course girls can enjoy this one too. I say boys only because it is a 'transition' book. It is a great fit for kids who have short attention spans. It translates the movies, toys and video game characters they love so much to the page. The pictures, font changes and colors make the pages come alive and are far more engaging than other tales.
This book is awesome for those who are struggling with reading confidence. For our reading sessions, I would read everything in normal font but my buddy would jump whenever there was a colored word or caption. He loved it! This set up not only made him follow along with me, it also improved his confidence in reading aloud. By the end of this book, he even had created different voices for each character!
This book is not a classic. I wouldn't even venture to say it's a good children's book. But that isn't the goal of the Marvel series. The goal is to help struggling readers enjoy reading. I'll happily read a sub-par book with my reading buddy if it means he is engaged and learning. The love for books and initiative for reading comes with patience and time.
Cute, though a little silly. Granted it is a kid's book, so you can't take it too seriously anyways. It reads exactly like a Geronimo Stilton, with various font styles and colors, pictures, and other assorted graphics. The art was probably my favorite part of the whole book; it was drawn really well and very colorful. The plot was interesting but of course rather cookie cutter. Independent, narcissistic character who thinks they can do everything on their own realizes he needs his teammates and friends just as much as they need him. Tony was a good pick for that kind of plot-line, given his personality, but I felt like he was just a touch out of character compared to the MCU.
I love localised books - "armoUr", "kebab" (instead of shawarma) - yay!
This was a weird read, as it directly referenced the comics (specifically Avengers Vol.1 #2!) but seemed clearly set in the same broad-ish continuity as the movies... oh well, it was no less enjoyable.
I'm not only going to get and read all the other Mighty Marvel chapter books; I'll be buying a back-up set for my classroom.
