Charlotte Crosby has been one of the UK's best-loved TV stars since she burst onto the celeb scene in 2011 with Geordie Shore . Laugh-out-loud hilarious, genuine, and a proper Geordie, Charlotte's popularity has even seen her crowned winner of 2013's Celebrity Big Brother .
With her trademark humour and warmth, in ME ME ME Charlotte takes us on a very unique journey through her eventful teenage years (where literally nothing is off limits!), her attempts at holding down jobs (and booze), the life-changing experience of Geordie Shore, the truth about Gaz and his parsnip, and her inspiring weight-loss triumph. Full of drawings, doodles, and Charlotte's personal photos, this will be unlike any other celebrity autobiography on the market. Extremely personal, insanely honest and pant-wettingly funny.
Charlotte Crosby's Me Me Me is the fourth book to be released from the Geordie Shore lot and I've now read them all. I found Charlotte's to be refreshingly honest, and it was almost like she was reading it to you herself because it was all so obviously Charlotte's voice. Sometimes I think a ghostwriter can uses words and/or phrases that the celebrity just wouldn't say but Lucie Cave (who I love!) has really helped bring Charlotte to life on the page, warts and all!
With someone like Charlotte who is so honest and, well, outrageous I wondered beforehand whether Headline might have toned her down, I'll just say that they definitely didn't! Charlotte clearly has no issues with sharing her whole life, good and bad - and that's the only way to be when you are sharing your life story. There's some moments and scenes in this book that are just so crazily out there and outrageous, including a disgustingly hilarious scene that's so bad, it didn't even make the cut on Geordie Shore, and in actual fact Charlotte almost never even got on the show because some of the bosses didn't believe the stories she was telling them. That should highlight just how shocking (and hilarious) Me Me Me is at times.
Me Me Me is an autobiography with all of the good bits and none of the boring bits. Charlotte choosing to share stories about her life that she knows readers will be wanting to hear the most, and that includes everything about her relationship with Gaz, her relationships with men in general and how she has had to cope with living her life in the public eye. Charlotte is completely honest and any mistakes she talks about, she completely holds her hands up to them. There's a number of stories about the Geordie Shore lot and Gaz that I didn't know beforehand, and I liked how the whole book wasn't a complete recap of what we already knew. There were some chapters I wished were longer, such as her time in Big Brother but I especially enjoyed reading about Charlotte's life growing up, she's had quite the eventful life and truly tested the patience of her parents! Charlotte is a girl that other girls can really relate to which is why I think she's so popular.
Charlotte is now extremely famous yet what I like about her is how she has remained grounded, humble and completely down to Earth and this was the case throughout the whole book. Some of my favourite stories where when she meets other famous people, seeing them as famous but not herself. It reminded me of Jennifer Aniston in Friends whenever Rachel meets someone famous! It's crazy to think about how much she has achieved off the back of a show which is essentially about going out and getting p*ssed but it's quite admiral and something that the haters can never take away from her. I also liked how every other page wasn't a glorified advert for her products, yes of course they are mentioned but not in a 'OMG buy my stuff!' way. Fans of Charlotte will love Me Me Me and it has already hit number one. I finished the book with a lot of respect for Charlotte and I think other readers will too.
This is the book you'd expect from Charlotte. Wacky all over the place. And the title is so fitting.
I enjoyed reading it. If you need a relaxed book to take your mind of things, this is it. And you'll definitely(!) realise that the stupid things you've done while drunk, it could be waaaaaayyyyyyy worse. Just ask Charlotte :p
I bought this book for my partner, who loved it. With that being said she is 21, and is a big fan of the current trend in vile, vulgar, uneducated morons getting drunk and having sex on television. So why did i read it? Who knows, i guess i wanted to know what all the fuss is about. I will start on the plus side, it is a very easy read (credits to the ghostwriter), that is about it! The book its self is more of a recollection of events since the start of her 'fame'. I feel like the positive reviews are clearly from her fans, anyone who takes reading seriously, will not do the same for this book. It constantly plugs her work out DVD, clothing brand and various other pies this northern lass has her fingers in. It saddens me to see the state of decay of morals, class and dignity in the present, when did women stop being classy, elegant and intelligent? And start shitting their knickers on television!
One of the best Autobiography's I've ever read. I loved it, because It's completely different to the usual Autobiography's, it isn't a kiss and tell, and it isn't filled with boring and unnecessary stories. It was light hearted, funny (to the point you will actually laugh out loud), and it had you gripped at every page. (So much that I read it in a day!). You could tell that Charlotte was being honest and real about her stories, because she didn't hold back (even on some of the most bizarre parts!). I highly recommended this book if you are a Geordie Shore fan, or even a fan of Charlotte herself - very enjoyable and fun read.
Always been a fan of Charlotte but I don't think she comes across very well in book form. There are plenty of examples of her being incredibly immature and selfish, to the point where the book feels as though it's written by a 15 year old rather than a 25 year old woman. The book has no real depth and I think there's a lot more to Charlotte than what she's showing here.
it was an amazing, incredibly funny and brutally honest book and I enjoyed every bit of it. I loved charlotte since the first episode of geordie shore and now I'm so impressed and proud of how much she has grown up and changed.
First off, before I start this review, I must say that I haven't always been the biggest fan of Charlotte Crosby. Sure, there are times I've liked her but for the most part she would really irritate me and piss me off! This book was an impulse buy back when the paperback edition got released in 2016, and I only bought it because it was £3! I hadn't had any intention of reading it though until I picked it up yesterday....
What I never imagined though was reading it as quick as I did, and actually loving every second of it!
I have a newfound love for Charlotte Crosby and I can't wait to start reading her second book Brand New Me later today when I'm back from work!
This book, Me Me Me, is full of hilarious anecdotes from Charlotte's colourful life! From the time she crashed her car on a roundabout, to falling asleep on the roof of her house, to accidentally getting in bed with her then boyfriends Dad, this book left me smiling and laughing like I never thought possible where Charlotte is concerned! Of course we're also treated to Charlotte's inside stories about Geordie Shore, Celebrity Big Brother, The Charlotte Crosby Show, and also her complex relationship with Gary Beadle!
I know Charlotte is never likely to read this review, but I have to make it known that I started this book not really liking her/giving much of a shit about her, but I've finished it loving her! I'm so sorry Charlotte for ever judging you ❤️
I couldn’t NOT give this book 5 stars. I have adored Charlotte since the first time I saw her in Geordie Shore, I voted for her every time on big brother, I love her for how honest and crazy she is!
I thought this book was going to be tame as I couldn’t think for a second she’d be that crazy in real life, but I was wrong, she’s exactly how crazy she is on the telly if not worse! But I adore her for it.
She writes an incredible story about how she suffered at the hands of Gary, Mitch, Geordie Shore and so much more. There are parts of the book where I laughed out loud at some of her crazy stories!
I think this book is brilliant and should be read by anyone. You’ll be laughing for hours!
Hahaha! I just liked it a lot! I knew I would because I think she's a mad, crazy, hilarious and successful woman...therefore this book is full of fun and interesting crazy stories!! I'm a Geordie shore fan ( I know... My guilty pleasure) I loved Charlotte's honesty and openness about everything. Writing is hilarious! But I think you need to be a fan of hers(and the show) to really appreciate the book!!Otherwise you might not really like the crudeness of her writing! Or if you really want to give it a try... Keep an OPEN mind!
I couldn’t not give this book 5 stars, I have loved Charlotte throughout Geordie Shore, Big Brother and have watched along as her story unfolded but this book was amazing to read, it gave a very clear insight into her rocky relationships with Mitch and Gary, it gave us behind the scenes at Geordie Shore, her upbringing and how she became to be on Geordie Shore.
For anyone who is a Geordie Shore fan or just a Charlotte fan, this is a must read. Absolutely brilliant! Couldn’t put it down!
Such a funny and lighthearted read that often had me laughing out loud. I loved Charlotte's personal stories and her doodles that went along with them to document her life. Definitely not the best autobiography ever, but an enjoyable read nonetheless!
I loved this book she is a legend she is sooooo funny and i want to read more books by her I have also checked out her fitness dvd. I think that she is good becuse she used to be really fat and now she is really skinny.
This book was absolutely hilarious! Had me laughing from start to finish. I must’ve finished this book in a couple of days, I didn’t want to put it down! It was interesting to learn of the way Charlotte found her way into TV! Such an easy read!
didn’t think this book would be so good!!! literally hilarious and i finished it in under a day which is the first time i’ve ever finished a book this quick. definitely better because i’m such a fan of her !
