In book two of the True World The world is a magical place. Fiona MacAuly has learned this and so very much more. She is, in fact, part of that enchantment because she is one of the Fae. Having this newfound part of herself has opened a whole new chapter in her life. Well that and the love of someone from her past, Bernt Hartmann.
Bernt was key to her enlightenment of the fullness of what she is, and has introduced her to several creatures that have aided in her ability to deal with the newness of it all. Being awakened has been a bit unnerving and wondrous at the same time. The world is constantly trying to seek the balance between good and evil. Fi represents a new member in the army of righteousness. Sensing the need to take her away to let Fi come to terms with the new her Bernt whisks her away from the protection of her mentor Granaidh. All he wants is to have some time alone with her. Peaceful time where they can enjoy each other, which his wealth will allow. Will they get that time alone? Will the peace of mind he hopes for her come to Fi?
