Rachel is ruthless corporate efficiency personified. She’s a clone raised self-aware of her genetic identity, occupying an elite position with the Dyad group of companies.
Each issue gets better and better as we delve deeper into the world of Orphan Black. This issue completes the first 5-issue story arc. And I am hooked. I already have the first issue of the next arc: Orphan Black: Helsinki #1. Good adult sci-fi story/mystery. Why clones? Who is behind all this? I am intrigued like I was back in the 60's with the TV series "The Prisoner" (with all the mystery and what not).
By far the most plot heavy issue yet! I really liked this issue I think it's my favourite so far. Rachel has always been such a complicated character and a hard person to understand. This issue really helped with shedding some light to this ruthless character's persona. I loved how the story unravelled specially at the end! I cannot wait till the next volume 5/5.
Rachel es todo un personaje, desde su primera aparición en la serie quise saber más de ella. Aquí encontré un poco de su historia, eso me gustó. Además introducen a un nuevo clon.
4,5* For me, this was the best Orphan Black comic yet. The background information was very interesting; I think we all want to know what made Rachel who she is today. I can't wait to learn more about the newly introduced clone, Veera, and I can't wait till November to read Orphan Black: Helsinki!
And as Felix would say... "Bloody Rachel". I admit I don't hate her... it's not her fault but the way she's grown up! I am looking forward for the next volume and of course for the next season, so that we learn where she is hidden and what is the so-called "Topside"!
Rachel's story, much like Cosima's before it, either includes less from the show than other stories or only includes elements of the show that I couldn't remember. I generally prefer the ones that do this, that give the Clones more to do beyond what I've already seen, that tell stories I couldn't have guessed anyway.
they did little rachel dirty. like no wonder she's they way she is. although she could've easily made her own family with her sisters and adopted a kid...
4.5 stars I always found Rachel's character interesting, and this issue gave some good backstory that really added to the main series. 100% recommend. Favourite issue so far.
Veera Suominen. That's pretty much all you need to know there is someone out there with a serious grudge against the Rachel, that's already been at the receiving hand of her.. determination... and knows. Oh yeah let's not forget, she's fully aware. How has this woman kept under the radar and what kind of havoc will she reek once she hooks up with the rest of the North American clones.
Oh you thought I was going to talk about Rachel did you. Well yes she is the focus of this issue but it's clear she's got some major skeletons in the closet both mentally and physically and I cannot wait for them to get out.
Considering that Rachel is my least favorite clone, I wasn't expecting this to be one of my favorite issues. However, considering that Rachel has always known more about Project Leda than the other clones, it would make sense that Rachel's issue was more plot heavy with the developments and reveals. I'm so glad this will not be the last issue; a new miniseries of Orphan Black comics will come out in November titled Helsinki and I cannot wait, as it will delve into yet another clone and I love learning about the clones outside of the Core Four (Five- including Rachel). Ahh will be great!!! v
Out of the last four issues, Rachel's was the best one of them all. Loved seeing how her upbringing shaped her into the way that she currently is. Also pretty excited to find out more about Veera the new clone that's been introduced to the storyline!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Rachel is my least favorite clone, so this backstory didn't interest me much, and being inside her head didn't make me like her any better. However, this issue did include the backstory of new clone, which is always exciting. I'm interested to see if that clone's story progresses at all.
Wow this was a great issue! As horrible as it sounds, I love seeing how messed up Rachel is! I'm excited to learn more about Veera and maybe her and Rachel meeting again????
Rachel isn't really the clone for me, so this was never going to be my fave. But it was interesting to see her childhood, plus a cliffhanger, new twist ending. Keft me wanting more......
Each issue gets better! Altough Rachel is not my favorite character, i was glad to know more about her childhood, her trauma and fears. Im excited to read the Helsinki comics now!
