You Were Warned - Part One

Rate this book
I like my life exactly how it is.

I have my spiders, a job that lets me scare the shit out of people for fun, and an arrangement with a man who knows exactly what I need without expecting more.

Then there’s the Jester. The island’s resident psychopath who has decided I’m the love of his life. Apparently no amount of rejection, insults, or threats of bodily harm will convince him otherwise. Tell him I hate him? He smiles. Threaten to stab him? He gets excited. Actually hurt him? It turns out that only makes things worse.

I’ve spent years making sure no man will ever have the power to hurt me again, and the Jester is the last person I should let close enough to try. Except beneath the face paint and the fucking bells is a man who sees every ugly, damaged part of me and keeps coming back for more.

Then a stranger appears on Fear Island who is hiding something. The Jester wants him dead, but somehow, I end up standing between them.

Now my quiet little life is filling up with secrets, blood, unwanted feelings, and an increasingly possessive psychopath who seems determined to prove that I don’t hate him nearly as much as I pretend.

The worst part? He might be right.

Once again, Jaye Pratt managed to hook me from start to finish!

From the previous books, I was already really curious about Jester, so I was absolutely thrilled when I found out he would be the protagonist of this new trilogy alongside Vesper.

And they truly are fantastic together! The banter and teasing between them is hilarious and entertained me so much throughout the book, I honestly laughed out loud quite a bit. Vesper has such a unique personality and seeing her slowly soften up to them is just wonderful to read.

Jensen is an absolute sweetheart. I loved seeing him become more confident, even getting to the point where he talks back to Vesper. What started out as just a way to annoy Jester is quickly turning into something so much more.

Rue also seems wonderful, he is understanding and exactly the kind of person you feel you can truly trust.

I also absolutely loved catching up with the rest of the characters from the previous books!

And 404?... Hilarious, and he definitely left me curious! One of the things I love most about these books is how we don't just get attached to the main characters, the side characters completely win us over too.

And, of course, the book couldn't end without a brutal cliffhanger... I need answers so badly!! Once again, this author is going to leave me counting down the days until the next release!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5+ STARS — YOU WERE WARNED BY JAYE PRATT 🤡🖤

OMG!!! If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! 😭🔥 I was OBSESSED from beginning to end, and Vesper I absolutely loved her. But the Jester? That man has my whole heart, and I am NEVER getting it back! 🤡❤️

The banter, the chaos, the obsession, the possessiveness… EVERYTHING! I loved every single second of it. The Jester had me completely hooked, and the way he just refuses to give up on Vesper? I'M SCREAMING! 😭🖤

Vesper is such a brilliant character, and I loved watching the walls around her slowly come down. Beneath all the madness, the face paint and those damn bells, there are so many layers to the Jester, and I honestly couldn't get enough of him.

The dark, twisted atmosphere, the secrets, the tension and all the madness made this such an addictive read. I wanted to savour every moment, but at the same time, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough!

And can we PLEASE talk about how much I adore the Jester?! Because seriously, that man has my heart completely. 🖤🤡

Jaye Pratt, you absolutely smashed it with this one!
If you love your romances dark, twisted, obsessive and completely unhinged, YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK!

Vesper and the Jester will be living rent-free in my head for a VERY long time.

Fear Island is back with the Jester

Jaye once again brings us into Fear Island where we follow the performers/inhabitants as they give us their stories and find love. At the end of the last installment we met Jester and I an so glad to dive into his story.

The banter and teasing is fantastic in this one. I love that throughout each of these books we fall in love with the side characters just as much as the main couple. Then seeing them again in future stories is so rewarding.

The dynamic between Jester and Vesper is freaking hysterical. He keeps pushing and every time gets the most random and hysterical responses. Vesper doesn't want to let him in but he is pushing in no matter what she thinks.

These characters all have so much they are hiding and seeing them slowly lower their walks for the people that deserve it is so beautiful though definitely not typical.

I freaking loved 404 and the fact he is a computer guy was fantastic. I definitely want to know more about him.

There is so much going on in this one that leaves us wondering what's next. Of course it wouldn't be complete without a cliffhanger and this one came with a single sentence. One that was shocking and left me blinking at the book wondering where the rest was but knowing there wasn't more.

I can't wait to see what's next for this group.

Ohhhh another part of Fear Island unlocked 👀
Our FMC is one feistyyyy gal (borderline too feisty for her own good) AND we have our jolly jingly Jester who is a pain in the ass 😂 I love them, and I love that we get to explore more relationships within the island. The ending was next level & absolutely not what I expected, so I desperately need to read the next book to find out what’s gonna happen to our new side character Jensen!

Jaye Pratt has done it again!!! You were warned was everything i hoped it would be and more! From page one till the very last page it had me captivated and wanting more, AND THE CLIFFHANGER!!!!!! OMG!!!!! WHAT A TWIST AND TURN OF EVENTS!!!

This story follows Jester, Vesper, Rue and Jenson! This story has so much banter, tension, unhinged behavior, chaos, darkness, intriguing moments and more. Its a story you never want to out down.

Jester OMG he is so morally grey and unhinged and i am here for it!! The way that Vesper literally hates him while he is in love with her is so diabolical. Their love/hate, grumpy x sunshine relationship makes it 10x better. Their chemistry is phenomenal, their attraction is undeniable, their banter is top tier and had me giggling. Then you had Rue who cares so much about Vesper but doesn't want to get to close and then you throw Jenson into the mix, he's new to the island so we don't get to see a whole lot of him yet but i definitely want to know more.

Thank goodness we don't have to wait long for part to because with that cliffhanger i need to know what comes next!!!

Jaye Pratt, MA’AM… these cliffhangers should come with compensation for emotional distress. 😩🤡

I had the privilege of ARC reading this one, and after reading so many of Jaye’s books, you’d think I’d be prepared for her creativity and jaw-dropping endings. Nope. Still sitting here with my jaw on the floor, desperately needing what comes next!

To say I was excited for Vesper and the Jester’s story would be an understatement, and so far? It’s everything I hoped for. The love-hate dynamic, the banter, the insults… all while his unwavering obsession with Vesper has me absolutely feral. Apparently, a devoted jester is exactly my type. Who knew? 😏

I wasn’t sure who else would capture Vesper’s attention, but Rue and Jensen were such a pleasant surprise! Rue is the calm to her chaos—quiet, wise, understanding, and a man who can cook? Consider me sold. Then there’s Jensen, who goes from timid and living on borrowed time to finding his confidence and serving up some sass of his own. And listen… the reveal of what Jensen had hiding under all them layers?! Vesper and I BOTH were needing a minute! 🥵

I especially loved getting more of these characters’ backstories, particularly Vesper’s. The spice takes a little longer to build than in the other books, but the character development made every bit of that wait worthwhile. Give me the history, the layers, and the reasons behind the chaos—it only makes me more invested when everything inevitably goes sideways.

I’ve loved every book in Masked Men of Fear Island: A Deadly Invitation, and this one is no exception. The obsession, the personalities, the chaos, and that ending have me desperate to see how Vesper’s story continues.

In the meantime… where can a girl find a jester of her own?! Asking for me. Absolutely for me. 🤡🖤

OMFG JAYE PRATT!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?! 😍🔥

I freaking LOVE this series and honestly I am so obsessed with Fear Island and all the crazy, twisted, unhinged characters that come with it!! I swear Jaye Pratt just knows how to write the kind of psychopaths you probably should run from but instead you’re over here falling in love with them 😂🥵

VESPER!!! MY GIRL!!! 😍🖤 I absolutely freaking LOVE her!! She’s feisty, damaged, stubborn, takes absolutely no shit and is just as unhinged as the men around her!! The spiders, her attitude, her threats!! I was living for every second of her!!

And then we have RUE!! 🥵🔥 I love him!! But THE JESTER!!! HOLY FUCKING HELL!!! 🎭🥵 This man is completely batshit crazy, obsessive, possessive and absolutely DELICIOUS!! The way he is so completely obsessed with Vesper, no matter how many times she threatens him or tries to push him away!! He just keeps coming back for more!! 😂😍 I shouldn’t love him as much as I do BUT I DO!!!

And THEN there’s JENSEN!!! 👀🔥 That connection with Vesper has me SO freaking intrigued!! Like excuse me?! WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?! I NEED ANSWERS!!! The tension, the secrets, the chemistry, the whole twisted dynamic between everyone!! I AM EATING IT UP!!!

I seriously couldn’t get enough of this book!! The darkness, the humour, the blood, the absolute insanity and all those deliciously messed-up feelings!! I love how Vesper gives as good as she gets and these men are all bringing something different to the table!!

AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIT FOR BOOK TWO?! 😭😭

Jaye Pratt, you cannot just get me this addicted to Vesper, Rue, the Jester and Jensen and expect me to patiently wait for more!!! I NEED BOOK TWO LIKE YESTERDAY!!!

Absolutely freaking loved it!! I’m obsessed, I’m invested, and I cannot WAIT to see where this deliciously twisted story goes next!! 🖤🎭🔥

ARC Review

OMG what?! That ending?! Caught me so off guard!
Jaye always knows how to leave you on the edge of your seat and just impatiently waiting to get the next book to find out what happens.
This book follows Vesper as she navigates her relationship with Rue and her very frustrating relationship with the Jester. Then we met Jensen who is brought to the island because the Jester is hired to kill him but can't until he finds the drive that Jensen has. Jensen ends up staying with Vesper, so she can use him to make the Jester mad. It works but at least the two finally get a little bit of their tension out when Rue locks them in his zone for the night. You start to see how Vesper starts to care for each of the 3 guys throughout the story.
Rue seems like such a good guy. I'm hoping we really get more of him in the next 2 books. He really likes Vesper but feels like he can't be with her romantically because of his PTSD. The Jester is hilarious. The way he so in love with her is adorable. Every insult from Vesper is just a love song to Jester. Jensen has had a complicated life and seems like a wounded animal. Can't quite catch a break. He seems to be more himself with Vesper. I love Vesper though. I get why she determined to not have feelings for anyone but she is struggling to achieve that with these 3 men.
I like how much mystery this book had as far as what was on the drive and who hired Jensen to get it, then who wanted him dead. This book didn't have as much spice as some of the other series before this one but I get it. The other books had characters that were more connected and in this one, only Vesper and Rue are at first.
I cannot wait until the next book comes out so we can find out what happens in that basement!

OMG!! The Fear Island's Story continues with Vesper and The Jester's story.
I think @JayePratt cannot do any better when I read a story and then she brings another out for us desperate readers and Yes!! They do get better!
I just love Vesper, her spiders (shudder!!), and especially love our big loveable cook, Rue, who apparently is the most unavailable man on the Island, but that suits both Vesper and Rue. Neither wants more than a friends with benefits relationship, and they both enjoy the company of the other...in the bedroom. So HOT!!!
Then there is The Jester....LOL. Heavens above, that guy. I just cannot explain his demented persona!
I Loved It!!
He is hilarious and gave me lots of LOL moments throughout the story.
Vesper, the strong sassy no nonsense woman that he trailed after like a love sick puppy, who puts on the persona of not giving a f*ck about anything or anybody, except her spiders, of course, is finding that inconvenient feelings are starting to develop.
And not for just one man!!
So, why choose?
The back story? Yes that is also great. A newcomer to the Island is hiding. Jenson Hayes!
The Jester wants him dead....for his own reasons, whilst Vesper decides that she will protect him, whilst she gets the satisfaction of annoying the shit out of The Jester....ie: making him jealous!!

"I can’t scare you because apparently death is foreplay, and I can’t get you to leave me the f*ck alone because every time I tell you I hate you, you look at me like I’ve just confessed my undying love."

Yes, The Jester has it bad!!! But what about Vesper's feelings in all of this?

And now to wait for Book 2, cos OMG I did not see that ending coming AT ALL!!
Well done @JayePratt, well Done!

You Were Warned - Part One (Masked Men of Fear Island: A Deadly Invitation Book 1)

‼️Check Trigger Warnings‼️
⚠️⚠️⚠️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️

💫 “If you want to hurt me,” he whispers. “All you have to do is say the word. I would love to bleed for you.” 💫 ~Jester

💫 I hate you following me around this island like a bell covered sexually transmitted infection I can’t get rid of.” 💫 ~Vesper

💫 “Are you going to train me? I can wear a collar.” 💫 ~Jester

💫 I consider leaving, but I haven’t had enough coffee yet today, and this is why people kill. They haven’t had enough caffeine to deal with people’s shit. It’s quite possible we could fix almost half of the murders in the world by giving people their daily dose of caffeine, without it people get stabby. 💫 ~Vesper

When we first met “The Jester,” I knew I’d enjoy his character, but I didn’t expect him to be as captivating as he is. Vesper is clearly a handful from the start, and getting a deeper look into her was absolutely amazing.

The banter between Vesper and Jester is off the charts, and I can’t wait to see what happens when Rue and Jensen join the mix—if you know, you know!

If you’re after a book filled with dark themes, primal play, sharp banter, spice, and a dash of mystery, you should definitely check out the Masked Men of Fear Island series.

You Were Warned – Part One (Masked Men of Fear Island: A Deadly Invitation Book 1) releases on October 16, 2026, and in my opinion, it’s absolutely worth picking up because everyone loves a quick, spicy read.

🖤🎪 ARC REVIEW 🎪🖤

📖 You Were Warned — Part 1
✍️ Jaye Pratt

💀 Jess’s Skeleton Rating:

💀💀💀💀💀💀 — SIX SKELETONS! Apparently five just isn't enough anymore. 😂💀🖤

Firstly, thank you Jaye Pratt for allowing me to be an ARC reader AGAIN! 🖤

This landed in my inbox and TWO HOURS LATER... I HAD FINISHED IT. 😂📚 That should tell you everything you need to know about how addictive this was!

💭 My Thoughts

🎟️ WELCOME BACK TO FEAR ISLAND...

And this time, we're stepping into Vesper's story.

Vesper... sweet little nightmare. 🖤😈

I've been waiting for her story since finishing Enter If You Dare, and it felt SO GOOD to be back in this completely unhinged world.

And then...

JESTER IS BACK! 🎭🖤

I loved him in Enter If You Dare, so getting more of him — and seeing the love he has for Vesper — had me completely invested.

There's something about these Fear Island characters that gets me every damn time. You don't just read their stories... you get attached to them.

But Jaye...

THAT ENDING THOUGH?! 😭

YOU CANNOT LEAVE ME THERE!

You let me devour this book in two hours and then expect me to just carry on with my life after THAT CLIFFHANGER?! 😂😭

I NEED PART 2 ASAP!

If you haven't entered the world of Fear Island yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! This is one series you absolutely need to experience. 📚🖤

And apparently Jaye Pratt has done it again...

Another SIX skeleton read. 💀💀💀💀💀💀

A man who gets threatened with being stabbed and somehow takes it as flirting?! PLEASE. 💀 The dynamic between Vesper and the Jester sounds like the perfect kind of unhinged chaos, and I am obsessed with the idea of a woman who refuses to let anyone get close to her being pursued by a man who finds her rejection entertaining. The fact that he sees all the parts of her she tries to hide makes their dynamic even more intriguing. 👀🔥

I love dark romance characters who are a little (or a LOT) messed up, and the Jester definitely sounds like he's in a league of his own. Between the obsession, the danger, the secrets, and the mysterious stranger who shows up on Fear Island, there is so much going on that makes me want to know what happens next.

🚨 SPOILER WARNING FOR THE ENDING: This is Part One, so don't go in expecting everything to be wrapped up neatly! The story ends on a cliffhanger, leaving major questions hanging and setting things up for the next installment. WHY DO AUTHORS DO THIS TO US?! 😭 I need answers!

If you love dark romance, masked men, obsessive and possessive characters, morally grey MMCs, and relationships that are absolutely NOT healthy by normal standards, add this series to your TBR! 🖤

Final Spice Rating: 4/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Jaye Pratt, I have my eye on that Jester. 👀🖤 And after that cliffhanger, Fear Island is clearly not done with us yet!

You Were Warned - Part One is the perfect introduction to one of the most complex, interesting, and wild relationship dynamics on the island. First, we have Vesper. She is witty, critical, and totally not a fan of idiots. She loves her spiders, is besties with Brawley, close with Rue, and tolerates a few others. But she despises Vero and hates the Jester. Due to her past she would rather avoid feelings altogether but that may not be an option anymore. Next, we have everyone's favorite unhinged, happy go lucky, psychopath who wears his heart on his sleeve. He is madly in love with Vesper and views her hatred as her love language. Their chemistry and banter is next level. Then we sprinkle in Rue. He is as emotionally unavailable as Vesper. But they have an understanding that keeps both of them satisfied. But will it be enough in the end? The back and forth between Vesper and Rue's bird Pretty Boy is definitely a highlight. Finally, you add Jensen to the mix. He was an assignment Jester was supposed to eliminate. But now he is being kept safe by Vesper and used annoy the Jester. But Vesper is starting to feel protective of him and noticing he has abs. Our Gothic Nightmare is starting to catch the feels! And that ending was absolutely wild! I can't wait to see how all of this plays out. I know it will be chaotic, messy, and unhinged. But I know I will love every moment of it.

I couldn't wait for Vesper and the Jester's book! Their love-hate relationship that we saw in the last trilogy had me so invested. The banter and insults are very amusing but what gets me every time is the way the Jester just falls more in love with her with each new insult and threat.

I wasn't sure who Vesper's other guys would be so I was pleasantly surprised. Rue is like the calm to Vesper's storm. He's quiet, wise, understanding, and an amazing cook. What more could a girl ask for? At first, Jensen is timid and living on borrowed time. As time went on he got sassier and more confident with his situation. I was shocked along with Vesper at what was under his hoodie though lol

This one was a bit slower both spice-wise and story-wise. I'm hoping it picks up more with the next book on both fronts. I'm also looking forward to seeing how this group interacts with each other more. This is random but I love the terms of endearment these guys have for Vesper! The cliffhanger was not what I was expecting at all! Definitely surprised me because I was so confident it was someone else. I can't wait for the next book to see what happens next!

Thank you so much Jaye for letting me read You Were Warned - part 1!!

Okay, WHAT IN THE ACTUAL WAS THAT ENDING?! I am still processing it!

I absolutely loved the grumpy/sunshine dynamic between Vesper and the Jester. She hates him, and he is completely in love with her, and I was HERE for it! The banter and sexual tension between them were so good, and the spice was definitely a welcome addition.

The Jester is also completely unhinged, and honestly? I loved every bit of it. There is just something about a character who is a little off the rails that makes the story even more entertaining.

I also enjoyed seeing Rue and Jensen become part of the story and getting to explore the island and its characters. There are some heavier themes woven into the book, but they add another layer to the story.

Honestly, I don't have much to complain about with this one. I was entertained, I enjoyed the characters and their dynamics, and that ending definitely got a reaction out of me! I need more because WHAT WAS THAT?!

If you enjoy unhinged characters, complicated dynamics, tension, and spice, this one is worth checking out!

I am loving this mini-series by Jaye Pratt—Fear Island is an absolute blast! This is Part 1 of Vesper, Jester, Jensen, and Rue’s story.
Vesper is way more complex than I had expected and I absolutely love it. She’s still the scary, moody, spider-loving psycho we know, but getting her POV gives us more insight into what makes her her. I think she is my favorite FMC so far.
Rue was a pleasant surprise for me. I love the dynamic between him and Vesper. He is definitely the most level headed of the 4 and seems to be the peace keeper.

Jester is the unhinged, morally grey lunatic I expected he would be. He is my favorite. The way he turns Vesper’s insults into compliments is hilarious, and honestly, I’m shocked she hasn’t stabbed him yet. His devotion to her is completely unhinged in the best way possible

Jensen is the newest addition to Fear Island. We only get a little bit of his story in Part 1, but I predict he will be just as messed up as all the other misfits on the island.

That massive cliffhanger left my jaw on the floor. I can’t wait for Part 2!

ARC COPY REVIEW

I can admit it, I'm addicted to these books. Every time I hear Jaye has another fear island book coming out I get so excited! They are so so so good! This one was no exception and we got to know more of the islands inhabitants.

I was weary of Vesper because she hates Vero. Vero is my baby, man. But getting to know her in this novella made me see her in a different light. Then getting to know the Jester (I've been dying to know him) and Rue made me all warm inside. They both are really great characters and there so much more to them than meets the eye. Then you get introduced to a new guy who's not from the island.

This story was intriguing and kept making me question and think what was on that drive. I kinda figured it out before the reveal. There are trigger warnings listed for a reason so please proceed with caution when reading this. But the biggest thing is that ending! Omg!!! I figured it out right before the reveal. And then BAM it ends there. Damn it! I am eagerly and anxiously awaiting book two. Amazing work, Jaye

Good wedding vows.

I love these dark, why-choose stories set on Fear Island.

The author gives us a one-of-a-kind world, so captivating in its originality.

To me, the idea of a place where people who don’t fit (or don’t want to fit) into society's norms have built a home where they can be whatever they want is wonderful.

Each trilogy focuses on specific MCs, but they're all connected, since this is where we get to know (and, in my case, fall in love with) the characters.

There's so much going on this island that we know nothing about, and this story is proof of that.
These MCs are phenomenal, and their story caught me by surprise in the best way.

This time our FMC is one of the residents of Fear Island.
She's wonderfully unhinged and badass, so serious and so funny with her dark humor, and our MMCs are right there with her in originality and morally gray personalities.

And the twists? I swear I wasn't expecting that cliffhanger at all.

Oh. And Mum? You should know by now. The red flags make great decor.

🖤 You Were Warned: Part One by Jaye Pratt 🖤

Sooo… apparently I have a thing for Jesters now?! 🫣😂🎪

I loved getting to see more of him in this book, and I’m definitely hoping we get MORE spicy scenes between him and Vesper because… excuse me?! 😏🔥 I am SO here for it!

I also loved getting to know more about Vesper and getting little glimpses into her past. 🖤 It was great getting to understand her a little more, and I’m excited to see what else we uncover about her as the story continues!

I absolutely LOVE Rue! 🖤 I’m really hoping we get to see his relationship with Vesper continue to grow because I need more of them!

Jensen… 👀 I’m still very much on the fence about him, but THAT ENDING?! 🤯 WHAT. JUST. HAPPENED?!

Jaye, you cannot just leave me like that and expect me to be okay! 😂🖤

Needless to say, I am READY for Part Two because I need answers, more chaos, and probably more reasons to fall for these characters! 🎪🖤🔥

🎟️🎪Welcome back to fear Island 🎪🎟️
I was so excited when this dropped in my inbox, these are quick fun reads to me, ‼️ BUT please check the trigger warnings ‼️.
This is the start of Vesper, Jensen, Rue and the Jesters story.
We have previously seen all of the characters except Jensen in the previous books.
I must say it was nice getting to know Vesper and the Jester more. I already like Rue. Jensen is a new addition, but I am already loving where this is going, and I can’t wait to see more of his story.
As with all the stories in the Masked Men of Fear Island Series I was hooked from the start to the finish. I am so excited for part two.
I love the storytelling, the humour and relationships, it’s such an entertaining read. The banter is bantering, Jester is completely unhinged which was already expected 🤣but I can’t wait to see how his character along with the rest develops.

I was completely hooked from start to finish, and honestly, I need the next book immediately! 😍📚
I was beyond excited to finally have Jester as a protagonist alongside Vesper, and they absolutely did not disappoint. Their chemistry is fantastic, and the banter between them had me laughing out loud more than once. Vesper is such a unique character, and watching her slowly soften and let people in was an absolute joy.
The character development, humour, relationships, and overall storytelling made this such an entertaining read. I was completely invested in everyone and everything happening, and then Jaye had the audacity to end it with THAT cliffhanger! 😭 The need for answers is real, and I am already counting down the days until the next release.
Jaye Pratt knows exactly how to pull me into a story, make me fall in love with the characters, and then leave me desperate for more.
An absolute five-star read!

ARC REVIEW:

You Were Warned Part One
By Jaye Pratt

Rating : 3.75/5 ⭐️ || 1.5/5 🌶

“Pain is merely physical evidence of my love for you.”

Another thrilling addition to the fear island universe You were warned by Jaye Pratt, exceeded all of your expectations I had surrounding the character of vesper. Overall her chaotic enticing personality keeping me thoroughly invested from the very beginning.

I also loved the further insight into the three MMC’s as individuals some new but others we had yet to be introduced to. Each of their unique personalities and characteristics making the plot that much more enjoyable. I’m defintely looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here, as the relationships start to develop. Specifically I’m crossing my fingers for further possibilities into a relationship between the jester and Jensen.

Again with the cliffhanger!! Omg, I actually can’t believe it. That ending has left me going WTF and I need part 2 immediately.

This whole book was AMAZING, just as I knew it would be. The Jester is an incredible character, and his dynamic with Vesper is phenomenal. Their banter and hate flirting and sexual chemistry is perfection.
Vesper is an absolute badass. I loved seeing her feeling her feels and realizing that her walls were starting to come down.
Rue is a big Teddy and I love a man who can cook. Yes please!
And then there’s Jensen, the mystery man who has me desperate to know more about him.
I am so excited for the rest of this trilogy, I can’t wait to see how everything plays out.

You Were Warned is part of the interconnected Fear Island collection and this is Part One of Vesper, Rue, Jensen and the Jester's story. These stories have the best cast of amazing characters the feature throughout all of them drawing you into this quirky carnival that isn't all fun and games. I love the banter and humour that often has me laughing out loud which builds the wonderful found family vibe within the darkness of this world. Vesper and the Jester's dynamic is certainly unique with a special sort of sizzling tension, Jensen seems to be a sweetheart but I must Rue is definitely an interesting guy that I would love to know more about. After that ending I will be looking forward to reading Part Two when it is released to find out the answers to my many questions!!!
