Rate this book
An exploration of the unique and usual places in Ontario that are steeped in history and folklore.

Using updated and archival material from Discover Ontario, a popular radio show that ran from 1987 until 2004, author Terry Boyle invites you to explore hidden, unusual, and unknown sites around Ontario.

Drawing on a combination of local history, Canadian folklore, and paranormal encounters, Discover Ontario reveals a side of the province not usually depicted in guidebooks. Learn about the Agawa Pictographs of Gitchigoomie and the mysterious creature that may be hiding in the depths of Lake Ontario, and explore the hidden Ontario trails used by runaway slaves fleeing American slave hunters.

The worst history book ever. Like seriously there was a section on aliens and area 51... in an Ontario history book. This book is more like a collection of random stories, some fictional and a random assortment of facts and a lot of pointless info

This book is made of very short stories. Some of them are more interesting than others but the ones that are most interesting are the ones told about places I am familiar with. I learned some new things about Ontarian history...

Who publishes these things? These aren't stories, they're factoidyish briefs that would be better off in an almanac
