Heated Rivalry
meets The Cheat Sheet in this steamy debut MM sports romance between two NFL rivals turned teammates.
Everett Hale knows how to keep his life in separate boxes. Football is football. Family is family. Desire is something he can manage as long as no one gets close enough to see it.
As the Chicago Griffins’ new quarterback, Everett is supposed to be the future of the controlled, focused, and impossible to rattle. Then the team brings in tight end Wes Hudson, Everett’s old college rival, and suddenly the one person who knows exactly how to get under his skin is lining up on his side of the field.
Wes has spent most of his life being what other people needed him to be. On the field, he’s sharp, physical, and impossible to ignore. Off the field, he’s tired of shrinking himself to make other people comfortable. Everett may want to keep everything quiet, casual, and safely contained, but Wes has never been good at pretending something doesn’t matter when it does.
Their chemistry is supposed to stay on the field. One perfect pass. One impossible catch. One highlight reel after another. But as “Hale to Hudson” becomes the connection everyone is watching, the line between teammates and something more gets harder to protect.
With the season’s end closing in and the spotlight getting brighter, Everett and Wes will have to decide what they’re willing to risk—and what “safety” truly means.
