It's an okay read, but it could have been a lot better. It just felt as though the author was going too easy on the characters... every time a conflict arose, rather than using it and showing the characters growth through it, the author backed off and the couple got the easy way out. seemed a bit odd, because the story itself had all sorts of potential for drama.

I liked this it was a cute read but we didn't even find out if they had a baby girl or a baby boy. Not cool!

The hero Brock has just discovered that his secretary and long term lover Elle, the heroine, has been giving away business information to his biggest rival. He is confused about his feelings as Elle meant something to him and he has no idea why she would do this to him. Things go from bad to worse when he goes to confront Elle and discovers she is pregnant. He insists they marry, he wants both a part in his child's life and to keep an eye on Elle.
Elle is also confused, she hated betraying Brock but was forced into it by her grandfather, who had ignored her most of her life, in exchange for medical treatment for her mother. She agrees to marry Brock to give her baby the family she never had, and because she is in love with Brock. However she knows that after what she did, Brock is unlikely to ever love her back.

This is an OK book, a quick and enjoyable read. But I do feel it didn't live up to its potential. For me there were moments in the book that seemed to be building up to a conflict, which then just kind of fizzled out. I liked both Elle and Brock's characters, they were well written and I felt they worked well together.

The writing is really good, I just felt more could have been done to make this a really great read.

This book was a lot better than I thought it would be. Elle’s mother needed expensive cancer treatment medicine. The only way that her grandfather would pay for the medicine was for Elle to be a spy on the competition. Elle never expected to fall in love while working at the other company gathering secretes against it. She worked as Brock’s personal secretary. They had really good chemistry in, and out of the office. Brock was shocked to learn that Elle betrayed him, he was even more shocked to find that she was pregnant with his child. The two worked really hard on their relationship, talking out problems along the way. Brock found a way to forgive Elle, but most important Elle found a way to forgive herself. This really was a touching story . I really enjoyed reading about Elle, and Brock. The plot seemed like it could happen in real life. I do think the two cared for each other, but their relationship or candor was not as strong as I would have liked to see it. In places it almost felt forced. Over all good book!

Brock Maddox has found out that the woman he has been having an affair with, his very own secretary, is also the one to betray him to his worse competitor. He discovers she is the illegitimate granddaughter of his enemy, and worse yet, the future mother of HIS child.

Elle has betrayed Brock, destroying her own chance at happiness in order to save her own mother from a devasating death by allowing her grandfather to use her to spy on the enemy in exchange for the payments for an experimental treatment for her mom.

While neither Elle or Brock have had the best parent figures in their lives, they must now find a way to work together to make a happy family of their own. Trying to take the good examples, and avoid the bad, they work towards a comon goal. But first, they must each forgive and forget the past in order to get to the future they deserve.

A very nice story.

I was conflicted on this one. It features some of my least favorite themes -- secret baby, marrying for the baby, deception. But... The story is actually pretty good. I was so glad that when the hero doubts the heroine's honesty once again, the truth is revealed long before she leaves him. Those misunderstandings usually go on way too long and then are cleared up in the blink of an eye. This one was cleared up almost before it began. I thank the author for that. Borderline C+/B- for me, but I'll bump it up to the B-.

There was A LOT going on in this book!! Of course, I found out that it is the 6th in the series!! I liked that he believed in her even when he "should not have."

What I don't understand is why these people are so "high-powered" and dumb. Serioulsy? She could have gone public with her story and ruined her dear, sweet grandpapa...but then she's basically a decent person.

Too bad for her.

The hero drove me up the wall in this novel. Gosh, just flipping through the novel again made me want to throw it against the wall. He was arrogant, cruel and unusual. He wanted everything his own way and for a while made the heroines life hell. I was saddened for her.

2.5

Ligero, fácil de leer y corto. Demasiados clichés, y cosas así, leo estos libros para despejarme y aunque le de esta puntuación tan baja, no es que no me haya gustado.

Final book in the Series of six books by different authors surrounding the advertising firm Maddox Communications, it was my favourite!

There's suitable angst from both Brock and more so from Elle. She's forced to compromise her integrity and betray the man she loved, but if given the choice she'd do it again and so would I in her place.

Her evil grandfather could have made life easier for all earlier but he chose not to.

Elle and Brock might seem to have different backgrounds but they were not that different. Both had virtually or literally only one parent, but at least Elle had her mother's complete attention and love. Brock only had a hard and demanding father that always made him feel not good enough!

Brock found it tough to trust Elle again and while I understood he's still a jerk! Though he really tried hard to look forward and make a good family for their unborn child.

Elle naturally felt guilty, and being in love with Brock who she thought felt compelled to marry her only because of the baby...it didn't help that Brock was well known in upper class society so she felt inferior... her mother-in-law from hell only made things more difficult and anguishing for her.

I love seeing Bree in this book and yes at the end we do get an update of the couples from previous five books in the series. Though I have not managed to find and read all of them yet. They really all read perfectly as standalones.

2.5 stars, 2.5 spice. It was an ok read. I expected a lot more based on the synopsis. It was very light in the angst despite what the FMC did. Anytime a conflict arose, it was solved very quickly, with little angst. It could have been a lot better, and the sex was just ok. It was only really described twice with many behind closed door scenes throughout the book, but it was very lackluster. I just didn't feel these characters loved each other. They lacked romance and chemistry. The characters were also very one-dimensional, and there was a lack of plot.

I really enjoyed this book. It's just like my daughter says "If it has a baby in it, I will most definitely read it". You will to!

This was probably the most anticipated story of the series for me. I thought there story would be right after his brother's. Elle had been selling trade secrets to Brock's biggest threat. She did it to save her mother's life but it still killed her because she loved Brock. She was relieved he found out but when he found out she was pregnant that changed everything. Can he ever truly trust Elle again and more importantly can she ever truly forgive herself.

Maddox Communication, CEO Brock Maddox had been betrayed by his lover...his own secretary, Elle Linton. He things one thing but it is something different and he feels the need to propose marriage. In this little arrangement love is not a part of the package until it does become the answer to the issue at hand.

Not a great story but a quick read.

Kinda different from the books that I've read before. This one seems... Enjoyable? This book makes me realize that I've a wonderful mother and thank god I'm not born by some one like Brock's mother. As what the brothers call her - the witch. Lol.

Shall not reveal too much of the plot and enjoy this book with a cup of coffee.

Didn't end how I thought it would. Even though Elle had made mistakes - and she had to deal with the results of those she betrayed. The ultimate betrayal wasn't done by her...and it took Brock a little while to figure it out.

Kinda wished there was another in the series or at least more on the others.

In all fairness, I should have probably read the other books prior to reading this one, but I felt like I didn't really need all the back story. I was a decent book. Just not as good as I had expected.

it was so so .. for me it was still unclear about what has been done by elle in spying brock's company. however, i like brock's effort in knowing personal issues to get to know deeper of elle's personality.
after all, it's a woman's novel. not expecting so much ..
