Jimmy Catfish - The Beginning and The End starts in the 1950s with the adventures of Francisco da Silva, the Captain of the last three-masted sailing ship in America. Cisco bucks the odds one time too many and his ship is nearly wrecked. That misfortune and others drive him to the supposedly peaceful island of Cape Cod and that's where his troubles really start - by the waters of eerie Codfresh Lake, the birthplace of a strange, amphibious boy the locals call Jimmy Catfish.
Author Bill Russo, in this 50,000 word novel, expands on his short story, The Horrors of Codfresh Lake, from his novella, Swamp Tales. This new volume details the unlikely pairing of Jimmy Catfish's parents, as well as the fish-boy's early life on the strangest lake in the United States - Codfresh Lake.
Bill Russo is the author of Swamp Tales, as well as several other works, including The Creature From the Bridgewater Triangle, which details his real life sighting of a bizarre swamp thing that beckoned him with the scary words, 'keer, keer, ee wan chu'. Bill later figured out that the hairy beast was saying 'Come here, come here. We want you." Although Russo has appeared in the Bridgewater Triangle Documentary film telling his story, as well as on Discovery Channel's Monsters and Mysteries in America; he does not feel really comfortable talking about the creature that he saw. Russo says he feels more at ease writing about fictional swamp things than he does about talking about the real one that stood just a few feet in front of him one dark night, waving its paw at him and trying to lure him, perhaps to his death. .
