When your mascot goes missing a week before Homecoming, this is not the Sherlock you want on the case...
After the disappearance of the new mascot of Devils Reach High, an adorable trained teacup pig, Sherlock Shakespeare finally gets her chance to put the skills learned from a lifetime of reading mysteries to the test. Piece of cake, right? Other than gang members, animal rights activists, hallucinations and the parade of lunatics in her life, she's totally got this. Champers is as good as found.
In Sherlock's world, three things are absolute: She's got the perfect Homecoming date, the stoner in her English class is a total perv, and there’s no such thing as ghosts. Before her sleuthing is done, she'll learn that nothing is absolute.
Note: While every novella in this series can be read as a stand-alone mystery, the paranormal elements will evolve throughout the series.
Sydney Katt has been writing books for as long as she could string words into sentences. Today, her books are more complex and feature romance, murder and mayhem, all subjects her grade school teachers frowned upon.
Happily married since before the beginning of time, Sydney and her husband live in the Dallas area, where three demanding cats rule their lives. When they aren't slaying video game dragons, the five of them keep a watchful eye for the first signs of the Zombie Apocalypse.

I like reading YA books and this one was quite enjoyable. I enjoyed the characters and since I work with students this age, I can see what is going on - and recognize it as a real-life occurrence at times anyway. A decent mystery with a surprise ending.
I received this book from Reading Deals and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.
Lighthearted mystery with a hint of ghostliness in it. Sherlock is a teenage girl with a very unfortunate name! But she is gutsy and doesn't mind taking risks.
