Devastation
Hunted and haunted.
Old nightmares.
New monsters.
A fellowship of steel and song.
And two indomitable cats who just want to go fishing.
By night, Revival glows with lantern-adorned balconies and hidden courtyards where music and magic mingle in the warm air. Beyond the crowded streets, strange lights dance over the swamp and ancient wonders sleep below the surface.
Devastation Machelli has never stopped looking over his shoulder.
Like Kyr and Templar, he survived the horrors of childhood. But he bears deep scars and the certainty that one day the past would come hunting.
Now the nightmares that shaped their lives are stepping out of the shadows, answering to an enemy they cannot see.
Omen Daenoth stands firm against the darkness, determined to protect his companions and the orphans of Revival. As danger closes around the city, the four friends and their cats must venture deep into the swamps, where wandering lights lead travelers astray and monsters prowl in search of game.
The evil that hunts Dev knows the surest way to ruin him is through the people he would die to protect.
But Omen and the cats of Mir’paravael stand in the enemy’s way.
It knows their wounds.
It has yet to understand their strength.

Magical
Devastation is a long awaited tale. He is probably the most mysterious character in the Of Cats and Dragons saga. So it's intriguing to get a glimpse into his mind and past. Seemingly on a different storyline altogether, Omen, Kir and Shalonie are off on an adventure of their own exploring Revival and it's surrounds with Templar as their guide. As always the plotline is fast paced, adventurous and intriguing. Though I think one of the best parts of these books is exploring the different areas of the amazing world created by these authors. With descriptions so rich and vivid you can see the action unfolding in front of you. Of Cats and Dragons should rank amongst the highest in epic fantasy, not just from our time, but from all time.

A Welcome Home
Every time, I pick up a story from the Cats and Dragons series I feel like I'm being welcomed home and get to enjoy a grand adventure with my bestest friends. This story certainly did give more color to the character Devastation... but also more mysteries were introduced with Kyr. I enjoyed what happened and look forward to the next book in the series.

Beautiful
I'm so glad the story is still being told. It was wonderful, and I certainly felt both authors still present. I can't wait until the next adventure!
