The entire book is spent with the main character, Claire trying to figure out Julian. First financial investigating him and then it gets very personal. We see a chemistry between them building, but I guess from the title and cover I thought we would get more romance in the book.
Also, we never get an answer on what Julian is. Everything is heavily implied. However, that is what makes you want to keep reading because you want to know just as bad as the FMC does. The ending sets up for a second book, and I plan on reading cause their story is not done.
