That's how Jessica Kelly describes herself. Just like the main character in her first book, Trick Play, Jessica believes that hard work is the key to success. Luckily, though, creating new characters and new plot twists doesn't feel like work to her! Jessica has always had a passion for writing, and she has dreamed of becoming a successful author for more years than she can count.
So what about the "Entrepreneur" part?
That proves just how serious Jessica is about turning her dream into reality. Her goal isn't to write a book or two in her spare time. Instead, she's focused on building a successful writing career from the ground up. She's not content to JUST have a dream. She's willing to do whatever it takes to make it come true.
Jessica began living the dream the moment she started writing Trick Play. When she's not dreaming up new story ideas, this native Floridian can be found spending quality time with friends and family, soaking up the sun on the beach, and -- of course -- reading.
I don't care for cliff hangers and I didn't realize the first book was going to end so abruptly, but when it did I had to know how it ended so I got this book. The story was good overall. I did enjoy the research of the history of the plantation I just did care for how this one was written it was like it was by a different author. I won't buy any more of this series because the others are the same, it takes two books to complete each story and I don't like that.
While Dominic is trying to get away from the modeling career and especially Heidi, Heidi is trying to keep Dominic. She even went to far by contacting Sage. Sage quits the job to solve the island curse, but Dominic wants her back and not just as the historian. Sage doesn't want to quit and she want Dominic, but can she compete with Heidi? And will they be able to find out what happened to the fifty slaves? Lots of action and adventure with lots of loving in between.
Overall I liked this book. It was great with the adventure and loved the little twists. My problem came from Dominic not putting his foot down with Heidi. He should have done it when he split with her. Instead with him waiting so long he just ended up hurting Sage even more. Honestly he should have expected Heidi to retaliate. Definitely did not see it ending like it did which was a good thing!
