I live in Texas with my wife, our three kids, and enough animals to qualify for a small petting zoo. Life is loud, busy, and wonderfully chaotic, which is probably why I enjoy disappearing into stories where love somehow manages to win in the end.

At the heart of every book I write is the same belief: life can be hard, but a great love story reminds us that hope, healing, forgiveness, and second chances are always worth fighting for. And to put your mind at ease, I don't use any AI in my books. They're all fully flawed and done by humans. No way in hell I'd give my job to a machine when it's the reason I get up in the morning. So put that worry to bed.

Instead, grab your favorite drink, find a comfortable spot, and stay a while. The real world will still be there when you're done.

Weston Parker really knows how to make a forbidden romance feel impossible to resist, and Cast To Be Mine had me hooked from the beginning.

Micah and Grace were such a fun couple to follow because they’re both trying so hard to prove that they can succeed without their famous family names, only to discover that falling for each other might be the one thing they can’t control. Their attraction was obvious from the start, but I loved that it wasn’t just about the chemistry. There was a genuine connection underneath all the stolen moments and tension.

The whole Hollywood setting added another layer to the story. Between filming, difficult co-stars, family expectations, old grudges, secrets, and the constant fear of their relationship becoming public, there was always something keeping Micah and Grace from simply enjoying what was happening between them. And of course, once everything started unraveling, the drama kicked in.

I especially loved watching Micah help Grace find her confidence when she began doubting herself. Their relationship grew naturally through those moments, and it made their eventual romance feel much more meaningful. They weren’t just two people caught up in attraction—they were two people who genuinely brought out something better in each other.

There was plenty of chemistry, drama, emotional moments, and enough twists to keep me turning the pages. And the behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of filmmaking was such a nice bonus.

Another addictive Blackwell story from Weston Parker with a couple that completely won me over. And thankfully, we get the sweet ending we’re hoping for!

Definitely a must-read for Blackwell fans and anyone who loves a little forbidden Hollywood romance with plenty of steam and drama.

Grace Sterling is on her way through grueling LA traffic to an audition for a Jack Montana movie. Director Micah Blackwell is looking for an actress with genuine spark for his movie Breathless and he finds her when Grace delivers a flawless performance. Now they have four weeks to complete the film, which also includes shoots on three of the Hawaiian islands. During the first table read with the other actors, Grace is filled with nerves and not the actress from the audition, so she and Micah go through many of the scenes, including one that ends on a searing kiss, and she regains her confidence. Afterward, both of them feel the immediate attraction but step back to preserve their professional positions. Until they didn’t.

As they near the ending of filming, someone leaks to the press that Micah and Grace are romantically involved, and their world blows up. Breathless is a perfect title for both the film and this book because that’s how I felt from the first page to the last. Master storyteller Weston Parker’s latest Blackwell Brothers Novel is my favorite so far of The Billionaire Legacy Series and is an unputdownable must read. The characters are beautifully crafted, the landscapes are thoughtfully detailed, the story line is original and compelling, the passion is hot beyond description, and the ending is deliciously sweet.

What an amazing story that will grab your heart right away.   Another wonderful Blackwell story from Weston.  Micah is one of the sons of famed Hollywood Studio owner Max and cousin to the New York Blackwell's.    He is determined to make his mark on his own and not his father's name.  So his dad is not happy when Micah directs his first film for his rival.   Max can't understand why none of his children want to work for the family biz.   They are all successful in their own right and you will recognize some of them from previous Blackwell books. Things get interesting when Micah casts a gorgeous unknown as his leading lady who just happens to be the daughter of his arch enemy.  Grace also wanted to create her stardom and success under a pen name so she won't be accused of riding her famous father's coattails.   Plenty of drama as the father's clash and make demands.  A leading co-star with an enormous ego and a crazy narcissist wife.    Weston does an amazing job with his characters and you can feel all their emotions.   The book is a must read and it'll remain on the top of your best books list.  Sizzling chemistry and more.   An HEA and no cliffhanger.  I read a free arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.  Don't miss this one.

"CAST TO BE MINE" was given freely for my honest opinion such an interesting, intriguing story, some emotional drama, secrets, steam, twists that making it so you can't put down.
Micha Blackwell not wanting to use the family's name striking out on his own not using his famous father Max's studio to direct his film.
Grace Stone arrives to audition for Micha she gorgeous stealing his breath, completely off limits she's his leading actress with secrets of her own.
Micha try to help Grace overcome some of her fear trying to work with her making it difficult when in his arms wanting to truly kiss her, their chemistry is
undeniable.
Micha & Grace sneak off to steal time together keeping their feelings from the crew, he doesn't just want her in his bed or when she's not acting, but they have to be careful both because both their careers are in danger.
Micha's father & Grace's father hate each other.
Will Micha & Grace get their HEA when the secret of who she really is gets out, he'll do anything to keep her as his its a must read to see how it all turns out a journey you don't want to miss, you won't be disappointed, its a page turner to the end, another excellent read by Weston Parker.

Oh, my goodness I could not put this book down. I loved Micah and Grace’s story. Both mc come from very well know Hollywood families that seem to go way back. Micah is directing his first film and he’s not using his father’s studio (which causes a little tiff between him and his dad). Grace is auditioning for the lead actress role under a false last name because she wants to make it on her own and not because her father is a Sterling. When she auditions for the role Micah knew she was the one for the part. When Grace starts filming, she doesn’t seem to have what she had during her audition and that is because the leading actor is very egotistical and hard to work with. Micah steps in and helps Grace figure out how to be the leading lady she needs to be and while they are working together the chemistry starts to build. Knowing they need to keep things professional and doing that is going to be hard.
This book is a must read and I honestly don’t know how Weston keeps writing such wonderful books. This ongoing series just keeps getting better and better. I received an arc copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Micah Blackwell, of the Billionaire Los Angeles Blackwell clan, is directing his first feature film. He meets Grace Stone (real name Sterling), an unknown actress, when she auditions for the leading female role in his movie and he is immediately smitten. Grace is also attracted to Micah because he is drop-dead gorgeous and a really nice, caring guy. They play it cool for several weeks, but finally succumb to temptation. Several factors are in play. Micah is trying to establish himself in the film industry, independent of his award winning parents - famous director father and famous actress mother. Grace is using a phony last name to distance herself from her famous director father, since she wants to make it big on her own merits. Throw in a 30 year old family feud between their fathers and you have a multitude of plot twists. Weston’s descriptions of the intricacies of moviemaking were also of great interest to me. It was a great book that I recommend to everyone.

Micah Blackwell is directing his first film, NOT in his father's studio, but at a different one to try to prove he is more than his name. Grace Stone is trying to make it as an actress NOT with her famous father's name of Sterling. Grace auditions for Micah's film and just amazes him with her audition. The problem is they are both very attracted to each other. Grace does great in the audition, but has problems working with her leading man. Micah works with her to get over her anxiety, and that's when the trouble starts. They are fairly good at hiding their romance from the cast and the crew, but there is an unexpected complication that makes the road to their happily ever after a bit rough. Needless to say, they work it out after a lot of challenges and Weston does a fantastic job of getting them to the end. Grace and Micah were a lot of fun. I look forward to the next book in the series. Weston has a great series going and I don't want it to end. I love to see the same characters from the other books interact in each new story.

This is book 8 in The Billionaire Legacy Series - A Los Angeles Blackwell Brothers novel.
It’s Micah’s turn to find his partner and at the same time direct his first Hollywood movie.
Finding and securing unknown actor Grace as his leading lady has a few people questioning his decision as she’s not a seasoned actress.
Knowing that she is perfect for the role he remains adamant that she play the female lead.
However, not all goes smoothly at first though, making him question his decision.
I loved this storyline there was passion, emotion, drama, an old feud and a secret liaison that was bound to eventually be exposed.
Micah and Grace were loveable characters with amazing chemistry that they tried hard not to act on.
Another fantastic addition to this wonderful series and I’m looking forward to reading more stories.

Another Great Read in the Billionaire Legacy Series where Micah finally gets to tell his story. He finally has the chance to direct his first major motion picture and when he hears Grace, an unknown, reading for the part, he knows she is the one. But can she hold her own against the ultra famous, spoiled, pretty boy lead of Jack Montana? This is the question. Sparks fly between Micah and Grace and and they are intense!!!! When things start to happen between the two of them and the public finds out it is drama in the 10th degree!!! Both famous families are livid and there are so many rumors flying around about them, will this be the end before it can go any further between these two? Weston did a great job building the back story and leading up to the bonding of these two. This is a great story and HEA for Micah who is so deserving and unfortunately for all of us, he is now off the market. 5 stars and an absolute must read!!

Hollywood is in some ways a small town and the film industry is even smaller, especially when it comes to gossip. When you have second or more generations working in the industry there is automatically gossip and jealousy on how they got their jobs. Micah Blackwell decides to direct his first major film, he doesn't go to his families studio, he purposely goes to their rival one. Grace Sterling wants to make it on her own as an actor and not ride on her family coattails, so she drops the name Sterling and uses Stone on her resume for auditions. She auditions for the female lead in "Breathless" with Micah and he is blown away even though she has little to no prior experience. He wants to cast her even though he knows an unknown is going to cause problems with Jack his male lead. You need to pick up a copy of this book as Weston has outdone himself writing this one. The storyline and characters are outstanding. Of course there is a lot of conflict before there are any HEA's.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the eighth book in the Billionaire Legacy series. In this book, Micah is directing his first movie and is using another studio other than his father's because he wants to prove himself and not to be known as a nepo baby. Grace is also in a similar situation because her father is a famous director, but she wants to get roles on her acting and not her last name, so she changes it to Stone. When Grace auditions, Micah knows she is the perfect leading lady, but she is an unknown actress, so it will be a gamble. Both Micah and Grace have a lot riding on this film, but they also have amazing chemistry and are very attracted to one another. I loved this book, i loved how Micah knew Grace was the one for his film and how he was able to help her give a great performance. This book had a little of everything, i really love this series and have been enjoying reading how everyone finds love.

We have the next book in the Billionaire Legacy Series featuring Micah and Grace. Micah is finally getting his shot to direct a potential blockbuster. He is not using the family studio, he wants to make it on his own without his father's name/studio being attached. There is a lot of pressure on him to make this successful. Grace is also from an entertainment family, she has chosen to use a different name to make it on her own merit, not her father's name. She auditions for Breathless and knocks it out of the park. Micah takes a risk and casts this unknown for his leading lady. Their chemistry is off the charts from the start. A must read to see how they navigate the ups and downs of the entertainment industry while trying to deal with their feelings. Weston knocked it out of the park with this one.

The west coast Blackwoods all ran from their father's Hollywood legacy. In Cast to be Mine, Micah steps up to his first big role directing a film for a rival studio. The path isn't smooth - starting with his leading lady bailing on the movie shortly before filming is supposed to start, an aggressive schedule, small budget, and an ego-driven leading man.

Grace is hiding from her own father's legacy. Changing her last name to hide their relationship, she scrapped for every role on her own merit, rather than trading on family connections. She auditions for Micah's film, captivating everyone in the room. But when it comes time for her first table read and performing scenes, Micah has to get creative to draw the star performance out of her that he knows is in there. Along the way, the director and starlet fall for each other and their secret relationship explodes in the press in spectacular fashion.

I really enjoyed this story - and another chance to get to know the west coast branch of the family. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

I loved the chemistry between Micah and Grace. These two just clicked from the beginning, and it was fun to read the push and pull they experience over the course of filming the movie. I was a bit surprised at the absurdity of the feud between these two's parents - both the dad's seemed a bit over enthusiastic about what happened way back when, but it doesn't play a huge role in the book. I enjoyed seeing some of the characters from previous books as well. The personalities are large and in charge, and they really affected how these two main characters deal with adversity!
Overall, I enjoyed the book, and the determination the characters have. Highly recommended!!

I really enjoyed Cast to Be Mine. The chemistry between Micah and Grace pulled me in right from the start, and I loved watching their relationship grow despite all the complications standing between them. There were definitely moments where I wanted to shake them both and tell them to just be honest about their feelings! I especially enjoyed when they finally stopped fighting what they felt and admitted how much they meant to each other. The obstacles and misunderstandings made their happy ending feel even more rewarding. I loved seeing them choose each other in the end, and honestly, I finished the book with a big smile. A sweet, emotional romance that was an enjoyable read for me.

This is book 8 in the Billionaire Legacy series. Omg this book is absolutely phenomenal and will definitely have you engrossed from the beginning until the end. I think this book is one of my favorites now by Weston Parker. Michah Blackwell is directing his movie without his dads help or movie studio, but when he thinks he cant find a leading actress Grace stone walks in and blows them away, but being a no name actress will the leading man jack chase her away? When sparks fly between them will it destroy both their careers and movie? This book was so good and you actually could feel the characters emotions and heartbreak. I thoroughly loved this book.

I just finished another wonderful Blackwell novel.

In this story, Micah Blackwell—quite the gentleman, as expected of all Blackwell sons—is directing the film Breathless. He considers Grace Stone "sterling" and hires her as the lead actress. Unbeknownst to them, their fathers are enemies, as both families are in the Hollywood business.

Predictably, the two fall for each other while shooting the film. Watching their relationship unfold alongside the movie's production was exciting, and it really makes you love the Blackwell family even more.

This is an excellent addition to this collection. Micah has decided to be his own man by NOT asking his father for help with making his movie. The connection to the previous books gives just enough background to enhance this book. Grace wants to be an actress without her father’s help. I thought there were a few minor plot holes but they didn’t interfere with story. They both are independent determined characters. Their love story has some history that is gradually revealed. This is a very entertaining read.

I loved the storyline and characters and all the drama surrounding the characters.
