Gator Girl #7

Gator Girl: The War of the Roses - Book 7

Rate this book
The first year of marriage is said to be the hardest and for Kelsey and HRH Prince Stephen they didn't even have a honeymoon before there was trouble. Neither of them have really been in committed relationships, but they have loved each other for what has seemed forever. It should be as natural as breathing and probably would be if it weren't for outside forces beyond their control pulling them a part. Trust has always been an issue for both Kelsey and Stephen. THE LIES and DECEPTIONS are running high in this race to the end. They fight for their love against insurmountable odds. I know you all still have so many questions, but they have really all been answered, just not fully revealed. Sadly, book 8 has all of the reveals, but this one is chock full of them as well. I hope you all will stay with me until the end and enjoy the ride. It is not over, but we are nearly there.

I was born in Spain and grew up mostly in Europe. My father was in the USAF, which I just love. He was a broadcast journalist in the USAF!

I went to the University of Florida- Go Gators! Hence my book GATOR GIRLS (GO AND GET AT AMAZON BOOKS)

I work as a Financial Analyst and write on the side, but I like to believe it is the other way around because I am always writing stories in my head all day long.

I love my life and think that each day I am blessed more and more.

I do have inner demons that I unleash inside of my books.

I want to live a Norman Rockefeller type of life in Mayberry and watch re-runs of Donna Reed and I Love Lucy all day.

I love working because it gives me creativity and balance.

Finance is one of the most difficult jobs in the world because you constantly have to tell people bad news about money and basically nobody wants to hear bad news when it comes to money. They only want money to rain from the sky daily and the funnel to never turn off.

I work extremely hard and not for the money. I play extremely hard and that is why I work hard.

I LOVE DISNEY WORLD! It is absolutely my favorite place to be... I would live there if I could afford it and I pray that one day can afford it because I am moving in and I will never leave.

What the fuck! These people are just a big ass bag of crazy. No scratch that. Crazy is dipping grapes into ranch dressing, smearing blueberry cream cheese on and everything bagel or ducks that refuse to swim in the fucking pond no matter how many times to throw them in! These people have now moved into the realm of "down becomes duct tape" and "three is toes". They made no goddamn sense. I was really keeping my finger, toes and "T's" crossed that they had finally learned to trust one another a bit since the events of the previous book. I was hoping that their lives and romance would take a turn towards mutual trust and respect once they had hot footed it to a judge. I was never expecting lollipops and rainbows with this lot, but for fuck's sake I was not expecting razor blades and billy clubs. I never much liked the teeter-totter and I like it even less after watching these two turn it into an Olympic sport. They have the emotional maturity of a tube of toothpaste. And yet, knowing all that somehow this story works and works it good.

And oh, oh, oh how that just makes me salivate all the more. God bless, all the filthiness contained within left me well satisfied. Oh, it is book porn and I've never been happier to read it seeing how summer vacationing has left me away from the husband and the only action I've received is my daily encounter with the dog's snooter attempting to get well acquainted with my tooter. Balls! I can't wait for school to start again. Since the Author seems to love telling her story by way of music, I figured I'd oblige her by offering the song that kept hitting me upside the head with the force of a 2x4 while I was reading. The chorus of "Talking Body" - Tove Lo is now firmly entrenched in my mind.

Anywho, as much as I've enjoyed following these people into the equivalent of Disney's Creepy Bratva Uncle having a steam and then oiling his guns, I am really looking forward to the last book so that I may finally have all the bits of the story resolved. I must have them.... Pokémon (why did they ever change from "Pocket Monsters"?) has programmed to catch them all, and I want all those bits bad!

Exciting

I just finished book 7 can't wait for book 8. The roller coaster ride in Kelsey and Stephen's life has been wonderful. So many twists and turns, love the unexpected. I must say I have enjoyed reading this series because the story continues and you have unfolded every aspect of their lives. It's hot, steamy, intriguing and best of all the characters come to life.

Whew! What a crazy ride! The War of the Roses is filled with a lot of answers to those nagging questions. There are plenty of spicy sex scenes, it's loaded with drama and additional depth to the characters. It is packed with A LOT of developments so I would suggest reading this only when you can devote your full attention or you may become confused.

Stephen and Kelsey are two characters that I absolutely love and then hate them to extremes(Stephen constantly). I cannot pull myself away from their drama filled train wreck. If you've read the beginning of the series I'm sure you'll enjoy this as well.

Starting to wonder.....

Books 6 and 7 have so much more content with stronger storylines, it almost feels like separate authors. The first few books feel utter filler comparatively. Having said that, I read 50 Shades series, and this installment became overdone with the sex scenes. More questions are answered, yet coming up with Kelsey's POV almost ruined everything I thought this story was about. I love twists and turns. To say she was a programmed killer by the age of 8, and her plans for HRH destruction in her mind almost made me stop reading. AGAIN!!!! Now instead of droning book after book concerning her Hyman, insane need of protection, HRH being lower than dirt, blah blah blah....Now she's a trained assassin afraid of nothing. She is NOT afraid of water, she flies helicopters, it's just a bit over the top. I get her memory being erased. I'm just not sure I buy it. So she's highly intelligent, yet continuous sex makes her stupid and change her mind. This is a horrible review, because this story is so all over the place.

Two chapters in and I'm addicted Kari I cannot put it down ADDICTED!!
I have just finished reading book 7 and omg gad I think I might cry if Steven and Kelsey don't end up together they are both complicated messes but deserve one another the passion they have is undeniable it reminded me of the little girl and boy in primary school who fancied each other so kept hitting each other!!! And they are both liars as well Kelsey is not naive at all I knew there was more and I'm excited to read book 8 as I feel we will see her true character come out a lot more hmmmmmmmm very enjoyable Thanku Kari again you have me wanting and wanting hehe

I loved and hated this series in equal measure. It got me hooked from the very beginning. I love all of the characters in the book, even the ones I despised because they were all so human. They each had flaws and made so many mistakes. Stephen and Kelsey both frustrated me to no end with the way that they hurt each other repeatedly. There were so many times that I wanted to just stop reading in frustration, but I picked it back up every time because I had to see if they got their fairytale ending. I love that all of the other characters were so much a part of the storyline as well. My only complaint is that the series was a little drawn out and the twist at the end almost seems rushed to be explained. The editing is not great but easy to overlook with such an engrossing story.
