Switch: A Thai BL Industry Romance

Rate this book
GiftDelight were the darlings of Thai BL, until Delight retired. Gift’s new partner, pretty-boy Switch, was meant to be a fresh start. Then Switch grew up.

At Prisma Entertainment, love is never just love. It is sold beneath concert lights, styled for luxury campaigns, tested in chemistry workshops, and dissected in millions of comments. Gift and Switch are the company’s dazzling new BL an established star and the beautiful newcomer chosen to stand in the shadow of a legendary screen couple. Together, they must create the easy, irresistible intimacy fans expect, while every glance, interview response and carefully choreographed kiss becomes content for the world to consume.

But before long, Switch is no longer content to be the compliant boy Prisma created. As he grows into a formidable artist in his own right, the balance between him and Gift shifts, and the relationship planned for them starts to escape the script. Between breathtaking spectacle and the quiet spaces no camera can reach, they must decide whether their devotion is a performance, a product, or the one truth neither of them can afford to give away.

This was so good! It built slowly, it surely. And I loved that it wasn’t all about the love story, but a story of growth, of finding yourself, and not losing yourself in the midst of fame and being a rising star! I loved how the supporting cast of characters did more than just support the MCs, they supported the whole story, they supported them as individual, not only as someone famous or someone who they need to make sure rises to stardom, they support them as they grow into themselves, and it’s lovely. I got the names mixed up constantly m so I’m not using them here, but I loved how the assistant helps Switch with food, and how both Gift and Delight make sure he asks questions, he doesn’t lose himself I trying to please everyone. It’s lovely to see, and I enjoyed it immensely.
