Only giving this three stars because I really enjoyed the first story. Otherwise it would have been a 2. I don't know if I'm going to continue the series. It's not a high priority anyway.

This was more a slap in the face to readers trying to enjoy the Secret Wars event than an actual comic book.
It contained a measly 28 pages including adds, but maintained the $3.99 price tag.
The first story started poorly, but started getting a little better just in time for them to give a to be continued in...
The second was a group of heroes fighting back against a goddess who turns them into werewolves and sends them back to the resistance that sent them.
Neither story was given time to really do anything. They felt more like the free Marvel Previews editions than actual sellable comic.
The art in the first story was pretty good, but I was not a fan of the art in the second story.
Unless you are a relative of someone who worked on this book, I would not buy this under any circumstances.
Shame on you Marvel. This should have either been discounted or had more pages added to allow actual stories to be told.

Rating collectively for all #5 of Secret wars journal volumes.
All volumes have two stories each and some are good enough and some have nice enough art but all in all they're really short, you barely get interested in the story and it's over already. So I didn't enjoy these as much as other Secret Wars comics, which are all quite short anyway :)

Two stories at about ten pages each. Pretty much a waste of a comic. Glad I borrowed it and didn't pay the $3.99 price tag.

Lady Kate! Looking forward to reading about her in Siege (written by Kieron Gillen, a personal favorite) and to her reunion with America at the wall!
