When a house robbery turns into murder, small time criminal Jamie Quick runs as far as he can until he runs out of gas. Literally. In Wichita, KS. Hoping to locate a former “employer,” the boisterous and enigmatic Hector Belasco, Jamie thinks that a murder rap is the worst he has to look forward to. But he’s wrong. Hopefully not dead wrong.
Set in the early 2000’s and written in a pace indicative of the title, QUICK takes readers on a journey that is at once madcap and mysterious, sinister yet darkly funny. Readers of H.B. Berlow’s KANSAS TWO-STEP will recognize the style and be glad that they’re in for another ride.
