Katy just moved and left all her friends behind. She doesn’t know anybody at her new house. Will she ever make new friends? Join Katy as she explores beyond the picket fence. Find out who she meets and what new adventures await her in Mrs. Bumbleberry’s Garden.
One very happy granddaughter who couldn't wait to read it after I had won this book on the Goodreads First Reads Giveaway.
A lovely story with beautiful illustrations. I noticed that this book is currently taking pride of place by her bedside. I do hope that there are more books to come, as I will have no hesitation in buying.
I won a copy of this book from a Goodreads giveaway.
Katy moves into a new home and is sad because she misses all her old friends. But she soon forms a close bond with her older neighbor/landlady Mrs. Bumbleberry, or "Mrs. B." as she likes to be called. Mrs. B. comforts Katy by letting her know that there are plenty of children her age in this new neighborhood and they will become friends with her. And that she, herself is now a friend of Katy's.
Maybe just a little bit too wordy for a kid's book. But still a good story for any young child adjusting after moving to a new home. Friends come in all shapes and sizes!
I enjoyed reading this to my daughter as a bedtime story. My son enjoyed reading it himself. The story is a sweet tale about a young girl named Katy who unexpectedly makes a friend, at a time when she really wanted to find one. A great kids tale, with lovely illustrations. If you have children, this is a great story to add to their collection.
Nice story about a young girl who finds a friend in her new neighbor Mrs. Bumbleberry. Cute plot, illustrations were not my favorite and for me there was a little too much text on the page (although I liked what it said- just overwhelming for some kids)
I won this book for my son from Goodreads First Reads. He enjoyed it, however there was a little too much text and he would lose interest a few times. Other than that, I thought it was a great book.
I won this book in a GoodReads giveaway and sat down to read it with my granddaughter. While it was a little too "old" for her, I thought it was a fun book with a good lesson about making friends of all ages. I'm sure when she gets older, it will be one that she reads several times.
