'Picture Puzzle' book has four levels; novice, master, expert, and genius. This is the first of what 'LIFE' hopes will be many Picture puzzle books. This isn't a collection of previously published brainteasers - none of the 90 puzzles contained between in this book have appeared elsewhere. Devoted puzzlers, renowned for their sharp eyes, will recognise some photos that have been previously published in 'LIFE'. These have been reworked with all-new clues. They'll also notice that some pictures repeat two or three times within the book, in slightly different forms. Each is a distinct puzzle, with its own set of alterations to spot.
Life was an American magazine published weekly from 1883 to 1972, as an intermittent "special" until 1978, and as a monthly from 1978 until 2000. During its golden age from 1936 to 1972, Life was a wide-ranging weekly general interest magazine known for the quality of its photography.
I hate these!!! I have no logical reason. I've never even opened one. I'm all for "puzzles" but these irritate the hell out of me and I don't know why. I was trapped in a mall last night and I tried to find some solace in the bookstore, when I saw an end-cap display of these I'm pretty sure I snorted and shook my head - Why? I DON'T KNOW!!! they never hurt they, they never tried to impose their views on me, they never took anything for me, they're just there and that shouldn't be cause for hatred...but it is.
