It's a pretty good read, only 39 pages long. Some pages are only a paragraph. It's a little outdated in that there's only one woman writer. There are plenty of women horror writers out there now. Maybe This is Horror will add some more writers in later editions. This was free and you can't beat that. I went to the This is Horror website and they'll let me download What is Horror if I subscribed to their newsletter.
