“Promise you’ll start paying attention to how amazing you are.”
This was a sweet YA contemporary romance, featuring a girl whose parents pushed her too hard.
Having the nickname ‘Perfect Paige’ seemed really hard on Paige, as it was a lot to live up to, and a failing grade in calculus really threw her. I think if her parents hadn’t put so much pressure on her she wouldn’t have been so stressed, and her mother not allowing her to have anything that might be considered ‘junk’ food was quite harsh on her also.
“My mom… she doesn’t understand failure. Like, not at all.”
The storyline in this was quite predictable. From the moment Ben asked Paige to set him up with her best friend Zoey it seemed obvious that it would be Paige and Ben who ended up together, and that he would tutor her in calculus as she was failing. This pair were quite cute together though, and there was some really sweet moments between them.
“His brain – and his heart – was tied in knots, neither one of them able to solve the problem of Paige.”
The ending to this was again a bit predictable, but I was happy that things worked out okay in the end.

Gorgeous, addictive and impossible to put down, this is a must read for contemporary romance lovers!
Perfect Paige Westfield is a straight A student, 4th in her class, destined to get into Stanford to study medicine an become a neurologist just like her father and eventually take over his practice. However this dream crashes and burns when she gets a D on her calculus test, with only one test left and desperate to pass, she agrees to a crazy deal with math whiz Ben Franklin; He'll tutor Paige but in return she has to make him into the perfect guy and get him a date the hottest girl in town, who just happens to be her best friend.
I absolutely adored all of the characters in this book. Paige is such a sweet girl, she always goes out of her way to help anyone and people often come to her for her perfectionist ways. She reminded me a lot of Harper Price from Rebel Belle, but I must say although I enjoyed Harper’s snark immensely I loved Paige soo much more!! Where Harper was such a perfectionist there was just much more depth to Paige, she’s not your typical popular rich girl and she doesn’t looks down at those who live in the poorer side of town. Like I’ve said she’s under so much pressure for her parents especially her mother, god forbid they have a meal that isn’t gluten, dairy, chocolate and just plain goodness free. Whereas Paige would rather stuff her face with chocolate chip cookies!
The romance… oh you guys I can’t even put into words how good this is, I literally read this in one sitting because I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the delicious angst! As promised Paige starts to give Ben a make over; new hair cut, new clothes and even a delicious car wash scene which I enjoyed a little too much. Soon she starts to realize that Ben is actually perfect for her, even without the make over. Her parents would never approve of Paige being interested in a lower class boy and of course she already has her life planned out for her, she'd can't afford to get distracted.
"She'd created a monster. A very hot, slightly wet monster."
The story is told from two POV’s, I was able to instantly connect to the characters, become obsessed with the slow burn romance and still beg for more. Epic romance aside, I loved all the secondary characters, even Ben’s mum she was such a sweet heart and I feel it’s best to mention that this is set in high school but without the slut shaming and thank god! Another great thing about this book was the absence of a completely unnecessary love triangle.
Lastly I just have to comment on the character growth; flawless! Ben helps Paige to discover that perfection is overrated and it’s all about flowing your own dreams and not making yourself become someone else’s idea of perfect.
I can’t recommend this book enough, it was the perfect summer read and kept me smiling and laughing until the very end. This has quickly become one of my favourites, thanks so much to Entangled for providing me with the ARC, I will definitely be purchasing this in paperback just so I can read it all over again. For a sweet romance with great characters that's enjoyable from start to finish than this is definitely for you. I cannot wait for the spin off book with Zoey, please be soon!

I reaaaally enjoyed reading this!The characters are amazing and I loved both Ben and Paige.I could definitely relate to Paige because people always think of me as someone who has a plan for everything and whose future is obvious to everyone except for them(in this case,both me and Paige).I loved how Ben worked hard to get what he wanted and I loved his relationship with his awesome mom!Also,Zoey is the freaking best.That's what I call a real friend.And that recital scene! WOAH,BAD-ASS PAIGE IS THE BEST!

I LOVED this funny, sweet and romantic YA story!
Paige is known as "Perfect Paige" - she gets good grades, she's fourth in her class, she is going to be a doctor like her parents want, and she plans to go the college her parents chose for her. She does everything that's asked of her. When she finds out she's failing calculus and needs help, she literally runs into Ben. Ben is super smart, he's third in their class, he works two jobs to help support himself and his single mom, and he's hoping to get scholarships for college because he can't afford to go without them. Ben is doing really well in calculus and offers to tutor Paige but in return he wants her to help him transform into the type of guy her best friend would notice. Paige's best friend Zoey is gorgeous and all the guys like her. Ben just wants her to notice him - to know that he is somebody. At least, that's what Ben thinks he wants.
There was so much I LOVED about this book. The writing was fantastic, the story was fun but also interesting, the characters were awesome, and the romance was so sweet. I adored Ben and Paige. This is one of those books that I just didn't want to end. I love the way the author told this story, there's no bad guy. It's just a really sweet, fun, heart-warming romance and I can't wait to read more by this author! Fantastic!!!

One of my favorite things in this book was the fact that all the characters were great. Each character had a lot of depth to them. No one felt one dimensional. Every character had multiple layers, and they had a purpose to the story line. The characters were all lovable in their own way. My favorite character of this book was Paige. She was kind and understanding, but she was snarky whenever the time called for it. I thought she was a great main character, and I really admired her. My other favorite character was Ben. Ben was so sweet and nerdy. I seriously want my own Ben.
The romance in this book was just adorable. I read this book in one sitting because I could not put it down! This book was like an addictive teen romance flick. I thought the romance was perfectly paced. I couldn't stop reading this book because I just had to see how the relationship between Ben and Paige would work out. I was in the mood for an adorable romance, and this was the perfect book for that. The book gave me butterflies in my stomach numerous times.
I seriously loved this book. It was the perfect summer book for me. I was smiling the entire time I read this book. I was in the mood for a cute romance, and this definitely did the trick. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a quick read with sweet romance and lovable characters. This book was an extremely enjoyable read. My only issue with this book was that some of the situations with Paige's parents seemed a little too dramatic. However, that didn't make me dislike the book! I cannot wait to read more from this author in the future.

This was such a sweet read! Since I am still in a reading slump, I really wanted to pick up something that would make me swoon and this one definitely did! It had a slow burn romance (which I loved) and I really liked both love interests.
The only complaint I have about this book was that I was not a huge fan of the writing style. I love cheesy romances, but the writing style was a bit too cheesy at times for my taste.
Overall, I really enjoyed this! If you are looking for a sweet and romantic read, I would recommend this one!

Finding Perfect is a cute, quick read that will delight any YA Contemporary Romance fan.
Paige is a perfectionist with a seemingly perfect life. She has successful parents, a popular and beautiful best friend, and pretty much already has the rest of her life mapped out for her.
However, this illusion of a perfect life is threatened when "Perfect Paige" meets her nemesis, calculus. The D she is making in Calculus class makes her acceptance to Stanford and dreams of becoming a neurologist like her father seem impossible.
Enter cute, funny, and smart Ben Franklin (Yes that is the real name of the male lead in this book) to save the day and, most importantly, her calculus grade.
Lucky for Paige, Ben is a math wiz who is willing to tutor her in exchange for a small favor. Unlucky for Paige, she quickly develops a crush on Ben and the favor involves her teaching him how to become the perfect guy for her friend, Zoey.
The great thing about Finding Perfect is that it mainly focuses on the relationship between Ben and Paige so Ben's feelings for Zoey are never front and center. I hate books like this when the guy or gal who wants the makeover spends too much time focusing on the person you know they won't end up with. It's a waste of time, kind of mean, and makes that character look like a flake who can't make up their mind.
Pretty early in the book, Ben figures out who the right girl for him is, but that doesn't mean he tells her. You will still have to deal with a little teen angst, almost kisses, missed confessions, and low self-esteem while reading this, but not too much.
Besides the cute romance between Ben and Paige, Finding Perfect focuses on Paige growing into a more confident and secure young woman who can learn to say "no" and write her own life's script. At the beginning of the book, this poor girl was so stressed and overworked that she was headed toward some serious anxiety issues, but that was nothing that a great friend, a cute boy, an honest conversation with her parents, and a few cookies couldn't handle.
The next time you are in the mood for sweet romance that you can easily devour in one sitting, I suggest you give Finding Perfect a read. Also the way this book ends leads me to believe Zoey is going to get her own shot at love in the next book so I have plenty of cute reading in my future!
Because of language and some mild sexual content, I would recommend this book for ages 14 and up. There are no sex scenes.

Finding Perfect is the perfect cute & fluffy.
It's an easy read, with lots of feels and loads and loads of cutness.
I kept smiling and grinning through this one. Felt thoroughly entertained and all fuzzy at the end.
This is well written, then I have come to expect nothing else from Crush novels
.
The cast is really great. The different parents were interesting as well. Highley managed to write them all with little judgment and more importantly showing each friends issues, insecurities and strengths due to their situation. Except I found Paiges mother too over the top. And the issues with her, extreme, but I would have been fine if the resolve would have given us some more insight why she acted that way? It was all over sudden all over.. and done. Everybody is happy the end.
I loved Ben and Paige. The book is told from both POV. And not only could I relate, I was totally engaged in their slow burn romance. I was desperate for them to finally get there.... They are too cute for words and Highley simply written their chemistry to perfection. Super cute!

In short Highley had me wrapped around her little finger and I cant wait to read more from her... and more importantly I can't wait to get my hand on Zoe's story

This is a super cute, fast read with swoony moments. Kendra C. Highley tells the story through both the perspectives of 'Perfect Paige' and Ben Franklin. (Yes, he is related.) When Paige gets a D on her latest Calculus test, her stress level goes from bad to completely critical. If she doesn't get at least a B in the class, how will she maintain her standing as the 4th in her class and get the attention of Stanford, her father's alma mater? If she doesn't go there - even though it is all the way in California - how will she be able to follow through with the rest of 'The Plan' that includes medical school and taking over her rather's neurologist practice and helping to cure Alzheimer's? So when she trips and embarrasses herself in the presence of Ben, and he digs a little deeper to find out why she's been crying, he offers to help tutor her in exchange for Paige's help getting her best friend to notice him, the guy who has been completely invisible up till now. Of course, there is the complication that Paige might actually think he's perfect for her, but to get her grades up, she'll do anything. Even if it makes her a little bit sick.
I loved the characters and details that the author adds in here and there, such as what Ben's initials are, and how important a role cookies play in the book. Because who doesn't love cookies. But most importantly, I loved the reversal of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion and the fact that, just maybe, Paige is the one that needs the real makeover, not Ben, in learning who she is and being able to speak up about what she wants. Also, I really thought that Ben's mom was kind of amazing and liked that there was more to the rich kids than the stereotypes typical in most YA fiction. I really hope that there is another book featuring Zoey and Luke coming out in the future.

When I was this very imaginative, hopeless romantic middle grader (yes, I stop being one after seeing real life in high school lol) I read All American Girl, a book by Meg Cabot about the survival of a girl named Samantha. My favorite thing about the book is Lucy's story though, Sam's popular sister who fell for a guy who tutors her.
So I had to picked this book up when I read the premise! A popular girl and a cute nerd! Yaaaay! :3
Turned out Paige the mc is that best friend of the most popular girl in school, Zoey. So of course, this has that favorite YA/NA trope: angsty-ridden teenage emotions.

When I was this very imaginative, hopeless romantic middle grader (yes, I stop being one after seeing real life in high school lol) I read All American Girl, a book by Meg Cabot about the survival of a girl named Samantha. My favorite thing about the book is Lucy's story though, Sam's popular sister who fell for a guy who tutors her.
So I had to picked this book up when I read the premise! A popular girl and a cute nerd! Yaaaay! :3
Turned out Paige the mc is that best friend of the most popular girl in school, Zoey. So of course, this has that favorite YA/NA trope: angsty-ridden teenage emotions.

First half was excellent. A great teen romance that focuses on creating a balance and following your heart. I always love ugly duckling makeovers when it's the guy and that's what drew me to this book

**I received an eBook copy of Finding Perfect through Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion.**
This storyline was just so cute! The romance was perfect and fun. It wasn't instant love (thank you Kendra!), it was the unexpected slow burn. I love how it all came together even if it was a little predictable. I really liked that it wasn't just romance. It also centered around the relationship with her parents, especially her very overbearing, health-obsessed mother. The second half of the book is where it starts to spotlight her relationship with her best friend, Zoey. Paige always took the back seat where Zoey is involved and it was great to see Paige develop through the book and become this very confident person!
I am always a big fan of dual points of view but some authors have trouble differentiating the voices. Kendra, however, did it flawlessly. I absolutely enjoyed seeing both Paige's and Ben's point of view. It adds to their characterization and it helps us relate to both of the characters. I think it also adds to the anticipation of their romance. I can't tell you how many times I [internally] yelled at them for all the miscommunication! At the same time, the way that they saw each other was so touching and beautiful, ugh, it pulled on my heartstrings. I absolutely enjoyed the writing. It was easy to get into and some scenes were written so effectively and wonderfully that they brought me to tears haha.
The characters ... I love them so much! I could absolutely relate to Paige, having all the stress of not wanting to disappoint your parents and all. Paige is smart, loyal, funny, musically talented, and friendly. She wasn't that snooty rich person that you'd expect. She never treated Ben any different even though he lived on the poor side and she was beyond rich. When she said that she loved playing piano renditions of Imagine Dragons but also loved classical music, I knew I loved her character! I really loved her growth and how she stands up for herself in the end.
Ben, oh Ben. I love you. Why aren't you real?! He's not your typical bad boy/dark-side-turned-good love interest. No. He's the unnoticed nerd who works two jobs to help mom pay bills and save money for college. He rides his bike because he doesn't have a car and his worn out clothes are from Wal-Mart. My heart seriously broke for him. His living situation was terrible but he carries himself so well, works for his future and wants to take care of his mom. He's a genius (with a nice bod, too), he's funny, and he's sweet. He's perfect! The relationship he forms with Paige was just wonderful!
I wish we got to see more of Zoey because she was such a wonderful person. With how the book ended, I'm hoping that there's a book just for her! She's such an amazing best friend to Paige and there was a certain scene with Paige where I cried because of their friendship. You can tell how much Zoey cares for Paige. This book is the cutest thing ever! I like romance book where the hero initially likes other girl but end up liking the heroine because, duh, she's better and they connect better. So when I found this gem, I immediately picked it up.
Finding Perfect is very well-written and I'm not just saying that. We have a hardworking and insecure heroine who's pressured by her parents to be perfect, the hero who's also smart but really insecure with his appearance, the shitty parents, and stereotypical beautiful but ah-mazing friend.
Overall, I really liked this book. I will definitely read more book from Kendra!

I love reading Entangled Crush’s Teen Contemporary romance novels and Finding Perfect is another book that I’ve been looking forward to. Honestly, I liked the book but I can’t say that I love it as much as others did. Finding Perfect is an adorable read and very entertaining but it wasn’t outstanding. My only issue with this book is the storyline which is too predictable and we can easily figure out almost all of the story. However, it was fun to read and I think many people would definitely enjoy reading it.
Paige Westfield is the popular girl in her high school and also the best friend to Zoey who is the hottest girl in her school. Perfect Paige is perfect in everything except for calculus in which she recently scored D that will definitely destroy her future dreams for applying to Stanford. Her parent’s are pretty much over protective who already made her future plans and she didn’t want to disappoint them. During her break-out session, she has an embarrassing moment when she tripped and fell flat on her stomach which was witnessed by a nerd boy who is passing by. He seems to be genuinely concerned about her well-being and surprisingly he is quite genius in Calculus. Understanding her situation, he makes a deal to help her out by being her tutor but in return she had to help him out with her best friend Zoey by turning him into someone that appeals her. Paige was reluctant at first but finally she gives in cause she had no other choice left.
Paige is pretty much likable character we can relate to. Even though she is from a rich family she is very sweet and friendly towards Ben who is from the opposite side. Ben is kinda ok character but he wasn’t much impressive. Like every boy in school he drools after Zoey but when he comes to know more about Paige he starts to get attracted towards her and finally learns that love is not all about looks. The chemistry between them is adorable and sweet and completely YA rated. It was so cute how he used his mom’s chocolate chip cookies as a gift.
As I already said the storyline was too predictable which is the major downfall for me cause I love elements of surprise in a book because without them it wouldn’t be an engaging read but still the story wasn’t that bad because it did made me read it till the end. The first part of the book was about how Paige and Ben slowly grows to like each other and finally confess their feelings towards each other. The second part is about convincing Paige’s parents to accept their relationship and also some family drama regarding her future. The main characters are quite good but not that great. As for the supporting characters, I really liked Zoey, Ben’s Mom and also Paige’s dad. The book not only deals with romantic relationships but also family relationships. The pacing of the story is slow but don’t worry it wasn’t that boring. It’s the first book I’ve read from the author and the writing of it is quite good and solid. I really liked the character development of Paige at the end who finally becomes an independent woman who makes her own choices.
Overall, I liked the book! If you haven’t got any problem with predictable storylines and clichéd romance then you’ll definitely enjoy reading this. I would recommend this book to all the readers who loves reading cute contemporary romance.

Paige was written as an A-type personality, yet a people pleaser. She's always been in the shadows of her BFF. Ben was a boy, who wanted the popular girl because of her looks and status, coveting someone he didn't even know, as if only appearance matters, which is more insulting than flattering but that's classic guy behavior.
The conflict of the tale was Paige's parents, but I felt they were written realistically, and I could see both Paige's and their stance. The BFF was written as supportive instead of back-stabbing and manipulative.
Finding Perfect elicited the warm glow of a first crush, the fear of rejection, and unrequited love. I recommend this title to young adults and those young at heart, and I look forward to the next in the series.

This is a brilliant high school romance with some of the best, well rounded, characters in a teen book I have ever read. The characters grow throughout the story in a believable manner and it is great to read the story from the points of view of the two main characters. The female lead is the daughter of wealthy parents with high expectations, Paige Westfield, whilst the male lead is the son of a single Mum who is struggling to make ends meet but loving and supportive of her beloved, hard working son, Ben Franklin. They are both exemplary students but whilst Ben tends to be overlooked in school, Paige is somehow expected to be perfect - hardworking, high achieving, a talented pianist, caring, friendly, helpful, sweet and attractive, too. When she struggles in calculus and only achieves a D, she is mortified. Fortunately, Ben offers to help her raise her attainment in exchange for help altering his image so her best friend will at least notice him!
Coping with preconceived ideas about each other that quickly need revising this is a delightful story of the contrasting expectations and pressures imposed on high achieving teens. Paige’s Mum is dictatorial, blinkered and nothing Paige does seems to achieve the standards she expects her daughter to meet. Paige is struggling to cope with the pressure and it is great to see her mature and grow as the story progresses. Ben's Mum may not be wealthy with money but she is wealthy in love and how she and Ben support and care for each other..
With misunderstandings, further attempts to be perfect and growing dissatisfaction with her future, life is anything but simple for Paige! Whilst Paige may give up on being perfect, the author has succeeded in writing a novel that is perfect for escaping into, a great read with fantastically developed characters and an enthralling plot. I do hope there will be a sequel starring Paige’s best friend and school sweetheart Zoey, probably with Luke as her other half! I’ll certainly be looking out for other books by this author in future and have no hesitation in highly recommending this to anyone who enjoys teen contemporary romance.

This is one of those books that is just too cute. I'm sure that whole story is sweeter than the cookies that Ben's mom is baking!!!
I really love the characters. Paige is such a wonderful person, with the weight of the world on her shoulders. Seriously, I got stressed out just reading about all the stuff she had to do and all the plans that her parents made for her. I'm glad that she learned to stand up for herself and go after what she wanted for herself and not what others wanted her to do. I also really liked her father and I was happy that her mother came around at the end.
Ben. Aww. I feel like everyone needs a Ben in their life (well at least I need one). He's just so supportive and sweet. He had so many insecurities about where he lived. He worked super hard for school and his two part time jobs and was so worried about his mom (who I absolutely loved. Such a wonderful woman. So great that she started a baking business.).

I hated the female narrators voice. It had me on edge.
Also it was too ya for me.

Paige Westfield is perfect. She’s the perfect daughter and perfect student. She’s 4th in her class and has her sights set on Stanford. Then she gets a D on her calculus test after getting C’s on previous tests and papers. Her perfect life alowly starts to unravel and the stress of being “Perfect Paige” starts to weigh very heavily on her.
She practically runs out of the classroom so her fellow students won’t notice her meltdown. Enter Ben Franklin. Yes that’s his name and it cracked me up on many occasions while reading this book. Paige doesn’t really know anything about Ben, because he’s from the other side of town, the poor side, and he’s not one of the popular kids, like Paige and her friends. What she does know is that Ben is 3rd in their class and a math genius. Ben offers to tutor Paige in exchange for helping him land a date with Zoey. the most popular girl in school, and Paige’s best friend. Well. the biggest problem with this situation is Paige and Ben. The more time they spend together, the more they realize that they are developing feelings for each other. Ben starts to realize that Paige is not who he expected her to be and even though he does actually like Zoey, he has actual feelings for Paige. Paige is trying to be honorable and hold up her end of the bargain and trying to make Ben more like the kind of guy Zoe would go for, even when she starts to realize that she really likes Ben.
I really felt for Paige in this story. She was under so much pressure to be the perfect student and daughter. Her parents and their very high expectations were the source of so much of her stress. I really connected with Paige because I remember when I was a senior and I remember getting so stressed out and worrying about how my parents were going to react. Paige is that kind of person who wants to please everybody and it eventually gets to her. I love how as the story went along she slowly started to stand up for herself and I loved how she eventually got to a place where she wasn’t afraid to make her own decisions about her life. It’s not always easy to deal with parents who have high expectations.
I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Ben, but I ended up really loving him. He was raised by his mother and they didn’t have a lot, but they made up for it with love. Ben already has his future planned out. He’s 3rd in their class, he already knows where he’s going to college and now he wants only one more thing out of high school, to land a date with the most popular girl in school. He convinces Paige to give him a makeover to look more like Zoey’s kind of guy, but the more time he spends with Paige, the more he realizes how well they work together. He is obviously torn. He likes Zoey, but then he starts to realize that his feeling for Paige are the real deal.
Zoey was definitely not what I expected. She is very perceptive and she was interesting. I loved her relationship with Paige. I absolutely loved their friendship. I love how supportive they were of each other. Based on the last chapter, it looks like this book will get a sequel featuring Zoey. If/when that happens, I am very much looking forward to it.
One of the big themes of this book was family. You get to see the big difference between Paige’s family and Ben and his mom. I absolutely loved Ben’s relationship with his mother. They are really close and they can talk about anything and she was such a voice of reason in this story. On the other side, Paige’s relationship with her parents are a little strained. Her parents have such high expectations for Paige and it creates conflict, but in the end they are still family and they love each other.
I loved the writing and the story. The romance was incredibly cute and sweet and the characters were really genuine. I absolutely loved this book and I highly recommend it.

She practically runs out of the classroom so her fellow students won’t notice her meltdown. Enter Ben Franklin. Yes that’s his name and it cracked me up on many occasions while reading this book. Paige doesn’t really know anything about Ben, because he’s from the other side of town, the poor side, and he’s not one of the popular kids, like Paige and her friends. What she does know is that Ben is 3rd in their class and a math genius. Ben offers to tutor Paige in exchange for helping him land a date with Zoey. the most popular girl in school, and Paige’s best friend. I absolutely loved reading Finding Perfect, it’s one of the sweetest romantic stories I’ve read so far this year. It was a total page-turner and just perfect.
In the beginning of the story we meet Paige Westfield, a popular and smart high school student who to everyone else she is known as “Perfect Paige.” Too bad that doesn’t last long when she gets a D on one of her Calculus exams. Now she is afraid of getting her Stanford application rejected and having to face her parents. So when she stumbles upon Ben Franklin after having a meltdown, he tells her that he is willing to help her bring her grade up, only if she helps him get the attention of her best friend Zoey. It should have been easy for her to say yes right of the bat, but Paige takes her time giving him an answer especially after knowing that Zoey liked other guys…etc. When she does accept his offer, she promises him that she is going to do everything in her power to make Zoey like him back. That is really when the story truly begins, and we get to see them interact more. And the more time they spent together, the more do they start to realize that they might just be perfect for each other.
For Ben Franklin living on the wrong side of town can be difficult, but being third in his class has giving him the opportunity to tutor and that is exactly what he offers Paige in exchange for her to get him to be like a guy that Zoey might be interested in. Soon he starts to see the real Paige and what she has to go through with her parents, and the pressure that she has to be “perfect” in front of everyone else. When he realizes that he just might be falling for her, he starts to plan out how he can get her attention and hoping that she’ll like him back.
From the cover to the story plot, I thought that the story was enjoyable to read. I found myself unable to put the book down; it was just a page-turner that kept me up all night. Needless to say, the characters do develop as the story progressed. We don’t see a lot of change in Ben, instead we see him showing Paige that it’s okay to not always be perfect or try to be and just enjoy the experiences as they come into her life. Although the book centers around Ben and Paige, we do get to know more about Zoey, and she is sort of the catalyst that brings them together in the end. The ending was sweet and it really fit the story as whole, I highly recommend it. :)

I wanted to make a proper review, but... lazy. LOL
This book is kind of cute. It's short and not slow-paced
I love Paige and Ben. They're both very hardworking teenagers
They work so hard to reach their dreams. Although they're both coming from 'different world', they teach us to not give up easily
Overall the story is good. I enjoy it
Even though Paige's parents are kind of assholes, but there are no stupid dramas
This is pretty short too. If I wasn't distracted, I would have finished this in one sitting
So if you like a light, cute, short read, you should give it a try
The biggest BUT though, I don't like the epilogue!
I thought it would be the extend closure of Paige and Ben's story, but WHY the epilogue suddenly turns out to be Zoey's POV?!
FYI, Zoey is Paige's best friend.
I don't know if Zoey will get her own story after this, but seriously the epilogue just ruins this story
It's not that I don't like Zoey, I like her. But making her POV in the epilogue of Ben and Paige's story is a very wrong move, imo. I really hoped that it was told from Ben's POV though

I wasn’t exactly expecting this book to turn out as deep as it did. I thought it was just about the romance, and I was so happy to see that it was not the case. This book is mainly about being true to oneself, and dealing with the pressure and expectations that others will bestow on you. Peer and parental pressure can be a suffocating thing…
I really liked the writing, and I loved the double POV. I’m a fan of multiple POVs, because it allows you to actually know what’s going on in the character’s minds, and here it worked perfectly, especially during the “get to know you” phase.
I adored these characters. I understood Paige so much, and I just wanted to wrap my arms around her and assure her that everything would turn out ok. And Ben… oh Ben… he’s so great! Smart, sexy, 2 jobs, cute, …?! wow!
I also really liked that although both of them were portrayed was studious, put together, nerdy, and so on, that they weren’t portrait as saints and inexperienced. Paige, even though she saw herself as second best to Zoey, was not shy and she knew very well what she was doing when she got her hands on Ben. That was refreshing and accurate.
The romance was so cute and adorable, and I could read 200 more pages of them together (car washing scene people!!!). The fact that Paige is pretty quick to realize that she likes Ben and still tries to help him get Zoey? I was so proud of her and so sad at the same time, because he liked her too, but was doing the wrong things, because he thought he wasn’t good enough for her… so much miscommunication! But I liked how they eventually came together and were able to get through the difficulties… and by that I totally mean Paige’s mother! What was she thinking?
Zoey really surprised me, and I want to see more of her. That ending made me hopeful that we’ll get a second book about her. And maybe get a glimpse of Ben and Paige?! Wouldn’t that be great???
This book actually made me cry, which was something I was not expecting! Seeing Paige asserting herself and fighting for what she wanted for her life was amazing.
By the way… I started this book yesterday morning on my way to work, and finished it before I went to bed… it was such a fast read.

So I went into this story expecting a cute, slightly chiched story that's been done before. Make over the cute but not hot guy so that the best friend would like him. What I got was a lot more than that. This story dealt with some great themes and went much deeper than simply that.
One of the biggest strengths to this story for me was the characterization. We've all read stories and seen movies about kids whose parents have these huge expectations for their future, a big plan for what they'll be, and the teen kicking and screaming against it the entire way. This is Paige's situation, but it's a little different from what I've read and seen before. Getting to see inside her head made me love her. She's a classic people pleaser, and so she's not bucking the plan... she's actually killing herself to try and live up to the plan and her parents expectations. She doesn't say no to anything, and she's so overextended, I'm surprised she's still on her feet. I loved how hard she tried to please everyone, even as I felt sorry for her because of it. I loved the journey she undertook to understand that she doesn't have to be perfect. And it was Ben that helped her to realize this.
She does make Ben over in exchange for help in math, as this is a subject she's struggling with. Bear in mind, this is a girl whose in the top four in her class. So she's no dummy, and I suspected her problems with math ran deeper than a lack of understanding. The entrance of Ben into her life changes everything. He's motivated, smart, and the more you get to know him, he becomes hot. He also becomes important to her in a way that has them both thinking about what they truly want.
This story had some deep characterization to it that I loved. Both of these characters were extremely well-drawn. I flew through this story in a blink,and was deeply satisfied with both the romance, and the story's outcome. It was unique and the writing was very engrossing. A very, very good read.

Finding Perfect is such the perfect blend of teen angst, high school antics, and parental drama…I felt like I was in the midst of one of my favorite Brat Pack movies from the 80s! It was sweet, funny, and heartfelt.
Paige is the epitome of the perfect high school student- #4 in her class, volunteers with the elderly, is part of student council. She’s not one to stir the pot or turn down someone in need. But she’s been completely overwhelmed her senior year and is starting to break. With a D in calculus she fears everything she’s been working towards will all come tumbling down. Enter Ben- #3 in the class, a whiz at math, desperate for Paige’s best friend Zoey to notice him. A deal is struck that will benefit both of them…but things don’t go exactly as planned, for either one.
Ben’s offer to tutor Paige is met with reluctance at first, because in exchange he wants her to help him get a date with Zoey- the most popular girl in school, who has no use for high school boys. But in the end Paige decides to accept his offer and that’s where the fun begins. As they work together and get to know each other better they realize there’s more to the other person than meets the eye, and we’re treated to the sweet spectacle of them falling for each other.
Ben was so wonderful with Paige, getting her to see how amazing she is and that she didn’t need to be perfect all the time; that it’s okay to do what makes you happy, not everyone else. Paige is such a people-pleaser, it was good to see her learning how to relax and let go.
This book was such a delight! The characters are endearing, the story is engaging…everything about it just worked.

I was on the verge of giving this 3 stars, but I went 4 stars because it was just so absolutely adorable!
Many YA contemporaries revolve around someone having an illness of some kind, or some other dark secret or something, but this book didn't, and it was a nice change. No one is dying of cancer or anything. This was just cute and sweet and put a smile on my face. Simple.
Paige is technically a popular girl, but she is very ambitious and highly goal oriented. She has a plan and she wants to stick too it. Making sure her parents aren't disappointed is a top priority. When she bumps into Ben and strikes up a deal with him in exchanges for help in calculus, everything starts to change.
Ben is adorkable, and has a hot bod. He is smart and funny - perfect type of guy (as are most guys in contemporaries). He is just as ambitious and determined as Paige, though they seem to want different things. They both change and learn quite a bit from each other during the course of their little deal. Ben realizes he is worth more than he gives himself credit for and Paige takes control of her own destiny.

Tell me there’s a sequel, pretty please? I want to go back to this world. The epilogue gives me hope that I’ll be seeing more of these characters, especially Zoey. Kendra Highley has given us all another love story to swoon over and vainly wish we were the ones living it.
