A short story about Tom when he was off roaming after breaking off with Felicia. It gives some background for a plot point in Wolfsbane, the next full length novel, but you don't need to read it for that. It's more useful in understanding a bit more about how packs interact, sometimes badly, with humans.

2.5 stars, really, but it's not like his violent overreaction is treated with approval. Instead, it's a growth moment.
