Down to earth relationship advice
Author Petr Casanova is the founder of the First Class Academy educational system of personal development and created this relationship guide/manual in Czechoslovakia in 2015. The book was translated into English in 2017 and now becomes available in the US. Reading this book is at once an inspiring and refreshing approach to relationships.
As evidence for the tone of the book, Petr opens with a fine little parable about a terminally ill boy meeting the girl of his dreams on the last day of his life. That tender story is followed by the following – ‘If you have the most loving feelings for someone who is unaware of them, there is no reason to hide them. Express your feelings – let the person know what he/she means to you. You might be surprised that your feelings are reciprocated. But act before it is too late.’
The Laws of Love begin with 1 – Human life is short, 2 – Only the life which you yourself create awaits you – and the list goes on with 250 such insights as laws of finding love, sharing love, how to solve dilemmas in relationships, jealousy, burn out, neglected communication, dealing with a new partner, etc. Each law is accompanied by illustrative brief stories and situations and advice on how to manage all the parameters of a successful relationship.
While many of the concepts discussed are familiar, it is the manner in which the author offers advice that makes this book a supportive pleasure to read.
