This is book 4.5 in the Soldiers of Wrath series, and is supposed to be about Daniella and Shakes. I mean, it is about them; but I found it was more of a set up for Daniella's evil dads book!! Zeke has got to be up there with a lot of the eviliest villians out there, and he is the heroine's dad. Yikes! To find out that there is a spin off series that will start with the book Zeke's Rule, is exciting to me. Zeke hasn't made himself very likeable to the Soldier's of Wrath, and also his own daughter can't stand him; but I look forward to seeing him fall in love...if that is even possible for him! LOL
"Ruin and Rise" is only 70-ish pages, but we get to read about the Soldiers MC, and also more about Zeke and how he first meets his future heroine. A very fast read; but packed with sex, love, and violence...just what most MC books are about! A fine addition to the series; but not totally necessary, there was a lot of repetition in this installment. Now onto Zeke's Rule!

The follw up to Shakes and Dani's book,quick read.More of Zeke in this book,we meet his heroine,he is one sick sob.Stryker here too,wonder who his heroine is gonna be.

This was a pretty good short quick story. Shakes and Dani's life have settled down some Shakes is now working for Zeke Dani's father who is something else. Shakes who is no longer in the MC although he misses it and Zeke tries to get him back in by talking to Demon he says no. The book was more about Zeke and is criminal deeds the girls the clubs and his shooting people at the drop of the hat. Dani and Shakes have a surprise for Zeke and he doesn't know how to handle it. Zeke still wants him dead until Dani gives Zeke and Shake an ultimatum-get it together or she's gone from both their lives with her baby. Striker goes to the club looking for what he wants him and Zeke have a lot in common the need to dominate women both are sadist. This book is where Zeke meets Alessandra and how she has come to his club. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. This book was well written like the rest in this series. I am also looking forward to reading about Zeke and Alessandra.

Super short story, think of this as more of a chapter book. These chapters could've been added to Dead Bastard; not sure why they didn't.
Only 3 stars for this because while the plot thickens, again there's an overload of sex(which makes it erotica I am aware.. But it is possible to have sex scenes & a plot) but I also started seeing more then a few typos and for me that is bothersome.
If your going to read this, you definitely need to read Dead Bastard first, otherwise you will be totally lost.

I usually don't read the books that are in-between the main series books, but I'm glad I read this one. It really does add to the story and I would have been super confused if I hadn't read this.
It's mostly about Shakes and Dani, but also important info on Zeke and Striker.

A good follow up novella to my fave couple (Shakes/Dani). I loved how Shakes changed his whole life for Dani... love conquers all!

No livro anterior eu gostei bastante. As autoras trouxeram uma tensão que fiquei alucicrazy pra saber o que ia acontecer!
Eis que nesse aqui, elas resolveram mirabolar algumas coisas sem muito sentido e trazer dramas que foram um tanto desnecessárias, mas que apesar dos pesares eu curti.
O Zeke, pai da Daniela como sempre querendo atrapalhar tudo, mas que depois - finalmente - se entendeu com o Shakes. E finalmente a gangue se entender também com o Shakes.
Gostei desse livro e desse casal. De todos, eles foram o melhorzinhos.
Se recomendo?! Sim e não hehehe

Short novella and follow up to Shakes and Dani's story. I really enjoyed their love story and despite the what the MC did to Shakes, kicking him out of the club like he was trash, I feel he became a better person because of it. He may have been able to forgive them but I still feel that what they did to him was so fucking shitty, especially since he was so loyal to them and the funny thing is that at the end of everything, even after they kicked him out, took his cut and blacked out all his club ink, he was still loyal to them...go figure..lol.
I still enjoyed this little novella and was sadden to see that Shakes and Zeke still can't get along but happy that they are at least going to attempt to try for the sake of the unborn child. Children just have a way of bringing even the worst of enemies closer together, so I'm looking forward to reading more from this very sweet but super unconventional family...
This was also an interesting preview into Zeke's world and his own upcoming story with Alessandra, it's going to take a very special kind of lady to bring this sadistic SOB to his knees....
(BTW...Striker...YIKES...that dude is all kinds of fucked up....Just saying!!!!)

This is a short follow-up to 'Dead Bastard', so that book, at least, needs to be read first. Bravo for Shakes and Danielle that they make some very intelligent decisions here.
There is some stuff in this one about Stryker that might lead to something in a later book, but because he's such a sick fu*k, I don't really care what it is.
It also has an excerpt for a book-to-come about Zeke that looks too sick for my present sensitivities, so I'll be skipping that one. If you're into reading about belt beatings by sociopaths and hardcore BDSM, it might be of interest.
I think I'm done with this series. It seems to be at a good stopping point for me and I didn't find it to be as action-packed as I like my books. It was too limited in scope and had too much emphasis on that Zeke character.

Enjoyed this update..Great closer
Well, I was so upset about Shakes story so I was apprehensive about reading this .5 story. This was a great novella. They cleared up what happened to Shakes and Dani after the fall out, how Shakes reconciled his choices with the MC, how Zeke resolved his issues with Shakes and Dani.. Now I don't feel so bad about Shakes leaving which is what I was most upset about. He is happy with his choice and the guys still treat him and Dani like family. If he's happy so am I. I'm dying to see Zekes story. How any woman would want to be his is beyond me.
Buy this book, but you must read Shake's story first.

I loved this small but great look at Shakes and Daniella's life. They are pregnant and he is the perfect guy. I love Daniella's strength to protect her family from family. Yes shakes has swooned me again. I like that we also see How Zeke and Allesandra meet and how she moves something inside of him.
The big surprise was Striker and his needs in the bedroom. Can't wait for him.
Overall the whole thing was GREAT!! Jenika and Sam never leave you wanting more than what they give. Can't wait for more soldiers and some Zeke

A nice little tidbit from Shakes and Dani. Shakes lost plenty to be with Dani,Zeke's daughter. The Soldiers booted him out, Zeke wanted him dead until Dani gives Zeke and Shake an ultimatum-get it together or she's gone from both their lives. Shakes has lost the club, he can't lose his love too so he sacrifices for her and their HEA. Zeke is a crazy character. He's bad but protective towards women. Striker's" desires" will make an interesting story for whoever he ends up with. I don't see how Zeke and Alessandra can be together after the way they meet, but we shall see, 4*

This is book 4.5 in the Soldiers of Wrath series. Shakes is still alive but he has been stripped of his cut & his MC tattoo has been blacked out. Zeke is forcing him to work for him. Shakes doesn't care he is just happy to be alive & have Dani in his life. Dani tells him she's pregnant & tells Zeke to lay off him or he'll never see his grandchild. Zeke & Shakes agree to get along for Dani's sake & for the baby. Demon asks Shakes to come back to the club as a patched member but he declines.

I love Shakes.....a real man, willing to continue to give up everything including his life for his one and only, true love Dani. I love that!!! Putting his wife first above all.

This is Shakes and Dani's book. I have to say I wasn't really interested in them. It was the side stories that have me hooked. I want tot know more about Zeke and some of the other brothers. While the story with Shakes and Dani is nice I just want feeling it. It is a great story don't get me wrong but I just never liked Shakes. Overall great book and storyline. Cannot wait for the next!

Great novella...love that we were given more of Shakes and Daniella's relationship...they are super sweet together...also glad they are getting a bundle of joy...looking forward to Zeke's book...should be interesting when he falls for Alessandra...can't wait!!

Now this is a novella that really added to the story. I think we were all feeling bad for Shakes, but this gave us the readers, a chance to see he really was happy.

dam it, I read out of order but it still wasn't going to be five stars....it seemed to repeat the "I love yous" and the "I don't want to be with the club"....like it was filler. I did love the dig Demon got on Zeke.

Dani and Shakes are moving in in their life and expecting a baby but the past with Zeke and the Soldiers still needs to be fully resolved. This is a dark and intense read but still has a lot of heart.

Adding to the series.
I enjoyed the way this book added information to the previous story as well as expanded on the character development of some of the other characters. It filled in blanks and extended the storylines. I am ready for the next book!
