Such a great story between a wolf-shifter in hiding (Whitney) and one of the top commanders of the Nevren (Rheaven). Though this is a slow-burn romance, I loved how well both characters were portrayed and how much of a glaring walking green flag Rheaven is, especially for Whitney! It’s so refreshing to have main characters that are mature, work diligently to communicate with each other despite their lingual and cultural differences, and are steady enough within themselves to say, mostly, exactly what they mean. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Nevren world with Whitney and found it so heartwarming how gently, kindly, and considerately Rheaven treats Whitney through the entire novel. Whitney’s struggle to overcome the mistreatment of her past is very relatable and it was precious how the Nevren treated her as she started to learn their welcoming ways. The twists that come with their relationship are fantastic and I absolutely love them! Creed’s writing style is one that provides plenty of detail without becoming overwhelming/overbearing with them and I could have just kept reading more and more. I am greatly looking forward to the next installment in the series.
Favorite Quotes:
“You are someone worth protecting.”
“I never regretted this choice and don’t even now…This is what I want, and I will wait for you.”
“In our tradition, marriage is not the joining of two people who become one. It is the joining of two lives that choose to walk beside each other.”
“I promise you will never have to face this world alone…I promise that no matter where we are, no matter what happens, you will always have a home with me.”
“I promise that I will never forget that you chose me before you even knew who I was.”

Great first breakout into alien romance for paranormal romance author Tasha Creed.
I loved reading about Whitney and Rheaven. Language barrier is such a fun trope along with forced proximity! Would have loved that part to last longer 🤭. The found family (even through a language barrier!) in this one made me smile.
There were a few times that certain thoughts and scenes felt repetitive. I think the author did it on purpose because of Whitney's past trauma and the confusion of 2 different cultures. I felt that Whitney should have been less confused about some things because of her wolf shifter background. We didn't see a whole lot of that culture though so maybe I'm just assuming based on other shifter books.
Overall an enjoyable story with plenty of sweet swoony moments. This is a closed door romance.
Thank you Tasha Creed for providing this book. All opinions are my own.

This was a very sweet alien romance. Rheaven is very gentle and considerate. He makes sure Whitney is comfortable and protected. Whitney is brave and looking for a place to belong. The way the book is written reminds me of a small town romance, only with wolf shifters and aliens! It was a joy to read. There was no profanity, intimacy was kept to embraces, kisses and feelings. The violence was minimal and not gory. I did receive an advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

⭐ 5/5 - (I had the time of my life)
🌶 1/5 - ( Glimpses and kisses)
Tasha has always written really great paranormal books so her moving to sci-fi was a very seamless transition to me. The premise of a wolf shifter gets given to an alien as a bride was just so fun. I really enjoyed the FMC and how the trauma affected her throughout the whole book and that we get to see that healing journey and how the MMC adapted to her trauma and met her where she was at. It was just so beautifully written, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and stayed awake way too late last night, finishing it. I loved this. I cannot wait to see where the series goes.

I absolutely loved this book. Got the ARC today and finished it same day. No language, closed door romance is sometimes hard to find with shifter books, let alone aliens too. Second chance fated mates, touch her and die, protective, with an engaging story line. Seriously really good.

If you want a non spicy alien romance novel, make it this one! I usually prefer reading spice but I didnt even miss it, I was too happy to read these characters falling in love and discovering what their new life will be together. LOVED IT!

I absolutely loved this book, Thank you so much to the author for me this book. I was a little sketch at first about an alien read, but she brought it together beautifully. The male character, chefs kiss, definite cinnamon roll and I loved that he was just so straight forward, no embarrassment whatsoever about his feelings for the girl. It was an interesting lighthearted read. Would definitely read again and again.
