Us Against the World: Finding Love in the Trap
Raised in the mean streets of Harlem, Queen Cavelli was a daddy's girl to the core until her father, Julius, was gunned down at her sweet sixteen birthday party where her mother was also kidnapped by his murderers. Come on now Porscha, I need more! You had me hard down swiping thinking I couldn't possibly be at the end. Queen is entirely too spoiled and her carelessness has created more problems. Dre is that dude and I liked him from the beginning when he was in the store. His actions definitely speaks for itself that he's as thorough as they come. Kelis is straight up dumb and trying to keep a man happy. If she would've paid better attention she would've realized the obvious that was right in her face. I can't stand Tiffany at all and I'm sure her trifling ass will experience her karma soon! J-Boy is weak as I don't know what and I hope everything backfires for Trinidad. I need part 2 like asap because Queen is probably going to attack with a vengeance and I still want to know a few things! Where is Queen's mother really, is Kelis ready for the consequences of the deal she's made, will Kelis find out the truth of what's really going on under her nose, will Tiffany's miserable ass get what's due to her, how will Dre handle everything, and will Queen prove it's her and Dre against the world after her mistake added to the problems they're facing.

This was a really good book from beginning to end. There are some unanswered questions like where is Queen's mother, and what happened to Chanel and her evil mother? Mrs. Sanchez was wrong for what she did to Queen because of her nasty husband. He got just what his perverted behind deserved.
Queen became the woman in charge of her empire, but she took leadership to a whole nother level. At times she needed to let Dre take charge, but she didn't.
Tiffany is just treacherous. I hope she gets just what's coming to her. Kelis is about to lose her good job trying to help her baby daddy with his drug empire. I'm ready for part 2, but it's not out yet.

Action Packed!
I was loving this story. Queen had it rough after her father got killed but things changed after getting with Dre. I was feeling their relationship but thought Queen was doing too much. All that got her in trouble in the end. I have questions though. Like what happened to her mom? Will we be hearing from Chanel and Mrs. Sanchez again? I'm disappointed with Queen. Who takes the police to their home? Nobody's that stupid. Why is Mel is willing to risk her position for Trevor/Trinidad knowing he's cheating on her and really don't even want him? I have to read on and see what's going on. I like the action and drama.

Like the plot but seemed rushed
I did know what to think when I first started reading this. It was good but I wanted to know more about Queen's brothers and Chanel. The book did move really quick in some areas. It seemed the author wanted to explain some parts but other parts she just let us guess. I like the plot but it seemed like it needed more. I hope the second has more of a story and not rushed through.

this was a good way to start off a series. it started off slow but as the book went on it started getting better and better. everything wasn’t a dead giveaway which is what i like. with the way part 1 ended i know part 2 is about to be the climax book

The beginning of the story reminded a lot of The Coldest Winter Ever. Queen figured out how to make her own money instead of relying on a dude to come up. Queen and Andre are a cute couple who got each other's back. But, that hood drama ain't no joke. FYI the story ended with a cliffhanger. Some cliches. Good story overall.

Porscha I had this conversation with another author about hood books and I'm tired of the same storyline but you took it to a whole another level. I really enjoyed this book. The story was told very thoughtful and you could understand what was going on. I'm so excited about book 2. There is no way you won't finish the story.....too many unanswered questions.

I loved it from beginning to end it definitely left a lot of unanswered questions like what happened to her mom? Who exactly killed her dad? How long did her brothers have in jail? Otherwise that I loved it and I'm ready to see what happens with Queen and Dre and if Tiffany, Trinidad and Kelis are going to succeed in their plot.

That was good. Love Andre and Queen! Even though they are both off the chain thugs, they have genuine love for each other. As for Kelis, Tiffany and Trinidad, I hope they get what they have coming to them. They disgust me. Now, onto part 2. Great job, Porscha Sterling!

I just lovvvvvveeeeee this book! Queen story start out bad a lot happens, but once she get with dre her life change. I can't wait for the next book. I hope everything works out for the couple, I want to know what happen to her mother, her father's body, and her brothers.

Great Story
This was a great story that held my attention from beginning to end. This is definitely a page turner that you will not want to put down. I loved everything about this series and I can't wait to read part 2. Great Job as always Porscha!!!!

Interesting
This was a very good read. I enjoyed it and is anticipating part 2. I hope tiffany and her sister get what they deserve. My first time reading this author and not the last. Hopefully I don't have to wait too long. Good job.

An awesome read. The author did a great job. I couldn't put it down. She draws you in and keeps you hooked. This book will have you all caught up. You will feel the pain, sadness and love of Queen.

I have read Porscha Sterling before so i was interested to see what this banger was about. Queen Cavelli had been through so many ups and downs it wasn't even a little bit funny... This girl had to grow up before her time and had to learn how to servie. she went from being a hood rich princess to having nothing at all in the blink of an eye. This girl had everything, then one day had it all ripped away. Then we have Andre and he is a quiet boss, he is wanted by all girls and evened by all the fellas. He also had a pass with Queen's dad so he wants to take care of her, and that's a good thing because she needs him more than she cares to admin.
