A Highland Summer: The Billionaire's Nanny

Rate this book
College student Jennifer Robinson takes a summer job as a nanny in the Scottish Highlands to help pay off her debts and experience some of those "adventures" her late grandmother told her not to miss...but it isn't money or adventure that makes Jenny love her work. Laird Darach McLanald sees something in her and she's flustered by just how much she craves his affection - and his long, lingering glances. After a lifetime of hardship is it finally Jenny's turn to experience the happiness she's never dared to hope for? The heat between the Laird and the spunky American girl is rising - with Jenny due back in New York for her senior year of college, how long can they pretend it's just a little summer fun?

Darach's devious ex-wife will do anything to ruin his happiness - she hovers over the Scottish summer like a dark cloud and she doesn't care who gets caught in the crossfire of her scheming - even if it's her own innocent daughter.

Will love bloom in the Highlands? Can Jenny and the Laird let go of the darkness in their pasts and fight through the obstacles to a new life together, full of warmth, family and the love they both desperately want?

I was glad of Cameron's presence. If she hadn't been there, I may well have failed at keeping my composure as Darach held the flower up to my face, trailing the cool, soft petals across my chin. He was so close to me I could feel his breath on my cheek. That afternoon, as we lay in the heather laughing and talking, I felt the first whispered beginnings of attachment stirring inside me...
This is a 30k BWWM romance about the healing power of love. It includes adult content and a HEA.

nope wasn't feeling this one.

The insta-love/lust whatever it was I found it rather inappropriate he’s her boss
and she’s drooling and staring at him ugh
Jenny’s and Darach’s “relationship” was weird (too me)because ..
he's still legally married so technically speaking he was cheating
(I hate cheating!!)
Plus he was not in a position to start a relationship to begin with
he was in an heated custody battle over Cameron and he and his soon to be ex-wife are dealing with the divorce proceedings and her demand to take half his sh*t.

It was just too much drama for my taste.

This a good read

I enjoyed the story if Jennifer & Darach. My heart ached for Cameron's pain. The one big flaw in the story line was no explanation of why Darach's house keeper and sister could just look at Jenny and know something would happen between her and the Laird. For example did zaftig women turn him on?

What a book!
The lack of plot kills me😬💔 like she had such great starting points, but can we have some more?
Like can this relationship actually develop?
Darach is married, falls in love with the nanny (basically as soon as they meet), still in a custody battle (one that Jenny was trying to solve but oh no!) She had to be caught stealing (what a shocker!)
Then she gets angry at Darach, ignores his emails and then when he pulls up at her doorstep is willing to forgive him.
Will miscommunication actually ever be a good reason to end things?? Like can our MC actually communicate?
And I wonder if in actual reality there are people who fall for these type of things?!

This book had the potential but maybe develop the plot? And oh wow, let us not forget how perfect Jenny is, she’s great with kids, great for Darach, a great person in general (what are flaws anyway??)

Good storyline

Surprisingly good for this genre of billionaire books. Good storyline, very few errors.....fast paced and a build up to the romantic and sexual encounters...just the right amount of dialogue and chemistry between the characters.

This book is just a good old fashion love story. The characters were well thought out. The love scenes were hot and the plot kept me wanting to read more.

Nice read

I really liked this typical happy ending romance story. Great for days when you have nothing to do and don't want to watch T.V.

Way too short, the story had a lot of potential if the author took the time to really develop the characters and plot.
