2.5 stars. Rounded down because not ONLY am I NOT a fan of amnesia plots, but this one wasn't even resolved by the end of the book -- the last in the series.

I have to say - as a summary to the whole series - that while I do like reading V.Kantra's writing, I'm not enjoying the stories that she is telling. I also found parts very slow going. Her later books are a great improvement over these. Eden can be a kind of Purgatory for the unwary reader.

I started and stopped this book so many times that I started to forget who the secondary characters were when they were mentioned. It picked up and maintained a nice tension once I got further into it, though.

More lush heroes from Kantra. Eden is a small town outside of Chicago. The heroes of the first two books are Polish brothers who are cops. One has just become the police chief of Eden, and the second is bound and determined not to marry…until he meets the right girl, of course. You meet the third hero in the first book when he's suspected of murder by the police chief who falls for his sister. Of course, he isn't guilty--except of being criminally sexy! If you want more of a blurb about them, just go to Virginia Kantra's site. The books were so good that I read them at Disneyworld while waiting for rides. I couldn't bear to stop!

Virginia Kantra's characters practically grab you by the shirt and throttle you with their personalities. (That's a good thing! They're so real!) This is one read you won't want to put down. I was invested in both the hero and heroine by page 1, and loved them until the very end! Not only were the characters great, but the action was fast-paced page-turning stuff. Great plot, fast pace, and really satisfying ending. I recommend it for an exciting summer read!
