★ 1 VERY DISSAPOINTED STAR.★

The most dumbest plot twist and heroine,I had ever had the misfortune of reading so far.
The heroine leads all her boyfriends to believe that and that one lie is always forgivable if it's MR.Right.

The heroine is an empty airhead while the hero is your supreme asshole.
Please spare your-self and click the spoiler above. But if you still Insist on judging the book yourself. All the best.

too dumb to live = heroine
---------------------
Miranda Dawson answered his call at the first ring, like she always had. “Hello, darling.”
Over the years, Nik and his first lover had become good friends, and since last year the petite, blue-eyed blonde had become his full-time mistress.

“Miranda, this is Daria Everest.” His eyes remained on Daria even as he spoke to his mistress. In front of him, Daria visibly whitened at the realization that he knew exactly who she was.
He forced himself to continue. “Daria, this is Miranda.”
Beside him, Miranda said in a soft, pleasant tone, “His fiancée.”

She started to speak again, but Nik didn’t let her. “I guess my fiancée hasn’t made it clear enough for you.” His voice was steely, his eyes a perfect match. “I don’t ever want to see you again, Ms. Everest.”

By the time he was fully engorged, Miranda was just as ready, her pussy aching and wet. Rising up, she placed her hands on his shoulders and straddled him.
Their eyes locked – hers seducing, his unreadable – as she slowly lowered herself onto his cock.

“Remember.” Nik was speaking against her mouth. “You’re just a cunt that belongs to me.”

This is the story of a TSTL-beyond description heroine and a cruel, hateful, messed up jerk of a hero.
The heroine is so lonely and miserable that she made it a life's purpose to find a loving mate-prince style. The thing about princes is that finding them requires kissing too many frogs (duh!)
So, she managed to kiss 27 frogs!!! But, she wouldn't give up (a veritable TSTL for that)
Frog #28(our hero) is no better than the previous ones but it would take a woman with some degree of decency and brains to realize it. It's a pity our heroine doesn't have a trace of these.
I won't say more because the rest of the story is rather obvious.
I wouldn't reccomend this book to anybody unless I secretly hate them.

Awful. I'm no prude but I found the hero repeatedly referring to the heroine as a c-word very off putting for a supposed romance story. The couple had no chemistry whatsoever and with all the c-word mentions by the hero I never felt the supposed love they felt for one another. Not romantic at all.

This story is everything the prequel promises it will be.

This story was awesome. Love the dynamic between the billionaire and his artist. Was a classic I want revenge and I am not really sure why, oh ya because I cant admit even to myself I am in Love. Very entertaining.

I received an ARC from the author for an honest review…

This book is definitely longer than Marian's usual books and I have to admit I like it.

I really like Marian's writing style and she rarely disappoints and although I liked this book it's not one of my favorites.

I liked the plot and the characters as well as the progression of the book (lasted almost year as oppose to everything happening in 1 week). However, what really bothered me was Daria and Nik; although I do love a tortured hero and a heroine who never gives up I felt this book took it a little to far.

Yes Daria did lie to Nik about something, but it wasn't that serious of a lie; actually I would describe it as a fib. However, Nik was quick to believe everyone but Daria and proceeded to punish her.

Now I can understand if some people disagree with me, but if a hero messes up (and I mean big time mess up) and deliberate hurts the heroine I believe the forgiveness should match the mess up. Now for those who will read this book will know that Nik definitely messed up big time and I wanted Daria to take her time to come to terms with everything before she forgave him.

Again like this story but I just wished Daria would have made him beg more, because I would not followed the Daria route so quickly.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

horrible, terrible, really really bad book. it's a less than one star book...who writes a book with such characters.. it didn't make sense, it wasn't romantic, it wasn't girly or fluffy, in fact it portrayed a female as a stupid, senseless, hopeless idiot..pushover much?. same goes for NIK THE ASS . the writer was just rambling... no real plot here. if I didn't believe in love, I'd say this book is a real love killer. horrible, terrible, really really bad book.

Nik is a billionaire who doesn't want a loving relationship. He doesn't believe in it so he keeps a mistress, Miranda.
He then meets Daria and he of course, finds out everything about her. Only he doesn't let her know. This is what causes even more trouble.
Miranda is now his fiancé and helps him to get away from Daria. Now is when the complications happen.

This book continues where the prequel left off. This book was a perfect light read, you could read it on vacation or in between a book hangover. Daria believes in fairy tales and that she will have her happy ending as long as kisses enough frogs to get there. Nik takes a simple misunderstanding into I want revenge on you status. He hurts Daria constantly. At first, I didn't like that aspect about her. Why would anyone put up with the way he treats her? As the book progresses, I understood her character more. It takes a strong person so love the way she loves him. Although Nic wasn't one my favorite male characters Marian has written about, he still has a way to be charming and worm his way into your heart. Overall this story was a cute read!

Silly plot. What was the big lie that made him hate her so much? And many other important information missing, e.g. why didn't he believe she was virgin? If this is supposed to be a stand alone, despite of having a prequel, important staff should have been retold.
I didn't like author`s enjoyment of displaying H and h`s intimacies to public and even to close friends. As if they couldn't enjoy good old love making / sex without some people watching or hearing them. Sick!

Ms. Tee it seems your works keep on getting emotional these days.

It's kind of weird because while I was reading this I was looking forward to reading the part where their relationship messed up. I can hand it to the author for making me cry at the beginning where there's a sort of prologue for Nik and Daria.

They both were very emotional in their own way although I thought that Nik was an a** at that time. If you've read the prologue you would have a better understand of their past but Ms. Tee did great when she still mentioned them.

It's true though that Daria was a very different heroine from the author's other works. Daria at the beginning literally screwed in more ways than one. That was the ending for the prequel but the start for the main story.

Still, the only thing that stays the same is my frustrations on both characters. Nik was a hard bull in not one thing to listen to Daria's apologies and explanations and then there's that little twist that the author is good at. The part where the story gets a bit more complicated. Although I'm glad it isn't that bad (I meant that in a good way, sort of). It's sort of a very little side track before the way to the HEA.

I loved Alyx, if it weren't for her I don't even know what to think. I loved her spunk and interference.

I liked how Ms. Tee made the conclusion especially the one that regards about Daria's mother.

A side character ai felt for was Iolanthe but you'll know what I mean once you've finished the book.

I have a feeling will get to see Alyx story as well, since it's only her that's left in the trio without her HEA. The other being Yanna and we all know her story (for those who've read it anyway - if not you must definitely read it).

What I probably loved the most was how Ms. Tee made the hero be redeemed in my eyes. It never gets old how she surprises me.

I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

*I was gifted a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review*

This author writes a lot about true love, so it was sweet to have a fairy tale flavor incorporated in Daria and Nik's story. Daria is a stubborn woman determined to have Nik, 'God's gift' that she'd asked for in the prequel. And if God gives her the green light to a passion she grew up with, who's to stop her? Her personality is all action, following her heart before thinking things through with her head. At times it was hard to watch her not give up on him, but it paid out in the end.

Nik wouldn't know how to put a puzzle together if he had directions and color-coded edges around the jigsaws. Nonetheless, he doesn't make it easy for Daria. His skills in the business world makes him a billionaire, but it also hinders him where the realm of love is concerned. It was great reading their struggle to get to a HEA.

I liked this story a lot because it's about taking a chance on that 'what if' moment everyone has. The fairy tale theme behind this was just as cute, and it definitely balanced out all the tears I shed throughout every chapter. The thing I love about Marian's characters is that they're the things we're often afraid of looking into. Daria's impulsive with her love; she holds nothing back with the men she sees something in when usually it's smarter to play it safe. Nik is pretty messed up (but who isn't?) and is given chance after chance despite the nearly impossible positions he puts Daria in. She's good for him.

Overall, I really enjoyed this despite the chest aches I got from reading the battle (yes, it was a battle). I recommend this to those who love a good drama to go with their combustion (fair warning) and and steady waterfall of tears. :)

Happy Reading!

This book is full of surprises - and it's so hot and steamy

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review by A Kiss Down Under Book Blog.
Even though this book is regarded as a Stand-alone, it is actually the second book about Nik and Daria. The first being The Prelude, where they originally met.
After reading The Prelude, I wasn't exactly sure what direction Marian Tee was going to take with this book. But I'm so glad that she took the direction that she did.
In The Prelude Nik and Daria met and had a one night stand - ending in not a very pleasant way.
Daria had the reputation of being a whore, when in fact she was still a virgin. She allowed Nik to take that from her, telling him it was her gift to him. But things went downhill and Nik firmly believed that Daria lied about her virginity. The thing Nik hates the most is a person who lies!!!
This book picks up after they have had their night together - which eventually turns into four.
Nik is only staying so he can exact revenge on Daria for her 'lie'.
What ensues is a story of misunderstandings, revenge, grief, lust, learning and finally love.
Throw in a mistress (now fiance), Miranda, and you have the makings of a brilliant story.
I loved this book. I loved the fact that the two main characters were direct opposites of each other. One who was constantly trying to show their true feelings, while the other was in an eternal battle, fighting everything that their emotions were telling them.
Yes I laughed at Daria's silly antics and I cringed at some of the thing extremely that Nik said and did to Daria. I also cried at the loving tender scenes that Ms Tee managed to sneak in.
This book is most definitely worth a read.
Definitely a 5***** book in my eyes.

WHOA!! So, ever since I read the Prequel to their story, I've been dying to read the full one.

This is the story of Daria and Nik, who met prior (read the prequel) and had a one night stand.
Anyway, their one night expanded to more, though by this time we see that Nik, having convinced himself that Daria is a liar, that she wasn't the innocent she seems, that she has been with several other men and has lied to him about these. (Note about Nik: He HATES, ABHORS, DETESTS liars...) and who does he think is a liar? None other than the heroine, Daria.

Having convinced himself that he wants revenge, he drags Daria deeper and deeper into a plot of revenge he wouldn't be able to dig himself out off. I won't go into specifics, but lets just say he's being a huge as d*ck to her, parading the fact that he's engaged to another woman, dictating not only his time but her time with him. Daria, ever the optimist when it comes to love, takes it all, takes everything he dishes out (there are times I wanted to punch him down there. lol) So anyway, their story is a roller-coaster of emotion. It pulls you in, yanks out your heart, keeps you optimistic then dashes it all away (at least for a little bit).

Honestly, I think Nik should've down more groveling, a lot more.. lol but he's lucky Daria is such a sweet heart, such optimism, such full of love and the belief in love, otherwise he'd be dead...

Their story kept me up, kept me feeling their ups, their downs, her suffering, his doubts, her pain, his pain and in the end, his hope.

Don't worry folks, there is a HEA in there. After all the pain, they both deserve it!

I have read the prequel of this book and I must admit I had a lot of misgivings to the female lead. I still felt that way when I began reading this book. I was thing all sort of things about the kind of person she is just accepting the kind of relationship Nik can offer her.

But along the way, I feel that even though some people may think that Daria was being weak just as I first thought if I try to put myself in her situation, I realized it will take a strong person to love someone the way she did. I don't cry easily but once again, Daria's loving natue touched my heart that it was impossible not to. And I love the kind of friends that she has too. Someone like her definitely deserves to have that kind of friend.

As for Nik I think he was able to redeem himself well in the end with the kind of chasing he did to get Daria back. I was just a little confuse about something, I know he despise liars but then didn't he also pretend to be someone else in front of Daria? I think that bit was not properly address with all the emotional turmoil that Daria went through. Or maybe she was in such an emotional turmoil that bit didn't exactly registered properly to her when it came about.

Still. I'd say this is worth the read and the emotion poured as you read along. Again, great job to the author.

Any fan of Marian Tee can tell you that she loves her Greek billionaires, and especially how much she loves for them to fall in love. If you've followed get during the writing of this novel, you'll know that it was difficult for her to write. However, I'm glad that she finally published it, and even though it's probably one of the most difficult, emotionally draining pieces of her work to date, I still loved it. I don't the author personally, just through social media and I own almost all of her published works, but this story is a pure work of art. Have your tissues ready, and make sure those around you know you might be yelling while reading, but you don't want to miss story. I had to step away several times while reading just to compose myself, but I wouldn't trade the privilege to read this book for anything. Pick up a copy, and might I also suggest the prequel, and enjoy the ride.

Rocky Road to Happiness

Daria has created a fantasy for herself that if she kisses enough frogs she will finally meet her prince. In this fairytale the frogs make up lies about the princess, claiming things about her that were not true, so when she finally meets her prince Nik, he does not believe a word she says, especially her I love you. To reach her happy ending she will walk a rocky road, fall in despair and finally realize fairy tales are not real. But that all will change when Nik proves to himself that all she claimed was true and he was the one holding back their happily ever after. Love these reading by the pool days especially with an entertaining book like this one.

I received this book to review on behalf of A Kiss Down Under Book Blog.

I was lucky enough to read the prequel to this book, so it was very easy to fall into where this story began. Daria was not your normal female lead, I found her to be loveable but at the same time, damn bloody annoying. She frustrated me to no end, but you know what, she still kept me entrigued. Nik, well let's just saying he finally pulled his head outta his (beep) to finally see Daria as his love, not mistress to punish. This book is an easy read, but on a small side note, there is a few editing errors that have been missed but they did the disrupt the story line. I will be looking into reading more from this author.

Heartbreaking but so worth the HEA

I gave this five stars because Marian did it again another great book to add among her series. I waited to read the prequel after this came out so I wouldn't be on the edge of my seat waiting and I am so glad I did!

I loved Daria and Nik story though through part of it I wanted badly to punch Nik in the face. It was heart wrenching to see Daria over and over again being hurt by the man she loved and I cried feeling my own heartbreaking each time. But what a strong character she is to put up with Nik I think I would have made him before because of what he did but I was so happy that they got their HEA.

So, A Fling with the Greek Billionaire! Maaaan, I though I was going to die while reading this (what a way to die, really) last night! I mean it didn’t help that I have that playlist on loop and that it was raining so hard but from the very beginning, my heart felt so heavy already. I was reminded how Marian’s writing can pull me in to that deep abyss of another world where only feelings exist and nothing else.

I was recieved a copy from the author for an honest review. In Marian Tee fashion she has written another female character that has plenty of backbone. Who is not shy to go after just what she wants. Though she will have to through hell first.Dad is and Ink do not have a smooth time in this story. There was so many bumps and craters in their way. You have to read the whole story to find out just if they get together...if she makes him grovel for forgiveness.....

24-year-old Daria Everest has kissed twenty-eight frogs, and all of them had stayed…frogs. She’s ready to swear off love until a twist of fate almost causes her to commit manslaughter against a Greek god. One look, and all her good intentions are forgotten. This time, she’s sure of it. This handsome frog was going to turn into her prince.
