There were some good things in this book, like emphasizing the importance of being "present" in your children's lives. It's easy to tell them to clean their play room or bedroom and then to walk away. It's more effective to help them and set up clear expectations on what it means to have a clean room (all clothes in proper drawers and nothing shoved under the bed).

That said, there seemed to be a lack of ideas on things to try to handle anger and children when they misbehave. You can't walk away all the time. There would be days when I'd never see my children and they'd be foraging for food on their own.

Some of it was useful. Like always you need to read it with a grain of salt. Some things were helpful the rest was a little off.
