This is a new to me Author.
This book was so full of emotions. My gosh!
Brin and Weston met in their early 20’s at one of his father’s events. Brin and Weston spent one beautiful weekend together. Weston was so in smitten with Brin. But Brin had other plans. And thus how this book begins.
Brin and Weston Story is both beautiful and heartbreaking. 28 years of stolen moments, grief, love , Friendship. She starts to write a book and Weston tell her to write the book about them from the beginning. While writing this book Brin and Weston continue seeing each other even with their own separate lives. Brin struggled with her past trauma but her safe space and the person she loved the most was Weston. WESTON who’s build a beautiful life with success a wife and a daughter of his own is still trying to manage his marriage but still loving Brin. This book is written inside of a book Brin wrote Certainty! And let me tell you the spice is spicing.
I did get a little choke up at the end. Because no matter what they endure Brin and Weston were always tethered to each other. Question is do they have a HEA? To me they sort of did. She wrote their story lived through so much and loved fiercely even when the timing was off. The heart wants what it wants. Two souls one heart.
Cara wrote this book with so much raw emotions and the stem of her roots from Texas. So grab a copy poor yourself a glass of whiskey and enjoy!

What would you do for the person you loved? What would you give up? What lines would you cross?
Certainty: behind the lovers tells the love story of Brin and West as they navigate their lives from their mid twenties to their early fifties.
Love, marriage, divorces, trauma, abuse and assault, this book demonstrates so wonderfully the impact the decisions of others can have not just on those directly involved, but everyone else caught in the firing line.
I found myself screaming at the characters, yet empathising with their choices and understanding the trauma that led them there. In the end, it almost felt like Brin and West had trauma-bonded themselves together, feeling that their only hope of survival was to keep, the other close. While this is not my usual read, I am so happy I gave it a read
