Nothing bad happens in paradise...or does it?

Lexi Dubois is in trouble. On Grand Cayman for business, she discovers the company she's been working for is funding a human trafficking ring—and the money trail leads back to her. Scared for her life, she charters a boat for a week to hide from the men on the small island who want her dead and to buy time to find enough evidence to take them down. The last thing she expects—or wants—is a torrid affair with the hot captain and dive master.

Larry Gibbon has been running a charter dive boat operation in Grand Cayman for years. He's seen it all—and done his share of creating havoc. But when a mysterious woman charters his boat for a week—alone—he has no idea what trouble she's bringing aboard.

The ocean is vast and unforgiving, but will Larry's knowledge of the Cayman Islands and Lexi's relentless determination to survive be enough to save them?

***The Wanderlust Series consists of stand-alone contemporary romance adventures. Occasionally, characters from previous novels may make a cameo appearance or be mentioned, but each book can be read as a true stand alone story.***

Her memoir, Free Fall, released on September 1, 2013, and is dedicated to suicide prevention, awareness, and helping others navigate the dark journey of grief.

In addition to fiction writing, Easton also edits and freelances. She also speaks on subjects ranging from writing to widowhood. Current radio appearances are linked via this site and her blog Kisses, Caresses & Whispers in the Night.

Easton currently lives with her two teenagers in the Colorado Rocky Mountains where she gives thanks daily for the gorgeous view outside her window. She finds inspiration from traveling, the people she meets, nature and life’s twists and turns. At the end of the day, as long as she's writing, she considers herself to be simply "a lucky lady liv'n the dream."

Captain, My Captain

I loved Duplicity, the third book in Amber Lea Easton's Wanderlust series.

Lexi Dubois is in the Caymans on business when she uncovers a human trafficking scheme in which she has been unwittingly complicit. Rather than protecting herself, she decides to try to bring down her boss and his criminal organization.

She enlists the help of shady charter boat captain Larry Gibbons, who we first met in Riptide. After I finished reading that book, I said the jury was still out on Larry. Having finished reading Duplicity, my mind's made up.

Larry Gibbons is a hot heroic leading man, just the thing Lexi needs in her life. This is a great read with thrilling suspense and hot bedroom action. I can't wait for the next one!

This is a gripping romantic adventure novel with some of the best chemistry I have read in a long time.
Lexi walks in on her boss on the island of Grand Cayman and finds that he keeps and mistreats slaves. To cut a long story short, she needs to lie low for a week and for that she needs help. She charters a boat and finds herself alone with a tough and sexy man, who warns her that he doesn't play fair.
Easton is a master at portraying chemistry with a bite, i.e. characters that bite into each other and drive each other mad in more than one way. With narratives that show both perspectives it is easy to enjoy this well written romance. The suspense is masterfully done, too with the usual sense of adventure of the Wanderlust series.
