A River Flows

Rate this book
A River Flows is a psychological crime thriller set in contemporary Europe. Ernst Reuter, a Ph.D student leading a quiet steady life, suddenly gets entangled in a mysterious abduction case that soon develops into an intense murder investigation. The victim is no other than a close friend, Walter Kleber, a student and political activist under police observation. Matters get dangerously complicated, when Ernst, not trusting the local Hamburg police, decides to seek outside assistance to help him investigate the murder case. An old friend leads him to a European detective bureau that helps him investigate what gradually turns out to be more than a simple murder case. Slowly Ernst discovers a putrid world of prostitution and people smuggling, but he also finds strong friendship and outstanding assistance from an English detective, the twenty year older Darren Diamond from London. In the dramatic course of the intense investigation, Ernst slowly discovers a hidden, unknown side of himself.
