The story begins in Dubai, where Mahmood ibn Abadi, a bank executive in the Emirates, has placed a $1-million order with a sex trafficking network for procuring a prepubescent, pretty, white, Caucasian girl. When delivered, she will become the concubine of a rich, powerful Sheikh, one of the banks most important clients.
To fulfill the order, an operative of the network, Lyle Stembeck, searches and finds a girl who meets all of the client’s specifications, abducting her in the middle of the night from her bedroom. The only ones taking notice are two neighborhood dogs who begin tracking her and her abductor. Local and State Police, and the FBI’s northeast regional Child Abduction Response (CARD) Team soon join in the search. Team leader Ingram knows that if they don’t find Katie within 24 hours, they never will. He realizes that the key to finding Katie is to follow the trail of the two neighborhood dogs tracking her. As the search begins, Special Agent Ola Dambrowska, a member of the CARD team, is convinced that the abduction is the work of an international child sex trafficking ring called the Illuminati.

For a price, anything is for sale, especially for the members of the Illuminati network. After an order is placed for a young and pretty white prepubescent female, an operative must locate and procure the “merchandise” for the buyer. When the girl, Katie, is discovered missing from her own home, the FBI’s Child Abduction Response Team, led by SSA Bing Ingram, is mobilized. If Katie’s not found within 24 hours, she’ll disappear into the underworld child sex-trafficking ring…the Illuminati network. THE ILLUMINATI PROTOCOL is a well-written and fast-paced story. Katie, the FBI agents, and the local police are all very well-developed as characters. Even the dogs were an integral part of the story. The ‘bad guys’ were a little less developed and, of course, the Illuminati network was hidden in shadow. THE ILLUMINATI PROTOCOL is a solid story about a very sordid underworld.

This was one of the most disturbing and important books I’ve read this year. The Illuminati Protocol doesn’t shy away from the evil it’s portraying, but it also offers hope in the form of relentless investigators and unexpected heroes (yes, even the dogs!).
The international scope of the trafficking ring, the use of shell corporations, and the elite clients who treat children as commodities all of it felt alarmingly believable. I had to stop several times just to absorb what I was reading.
What I appreciated most was how the narrative didn’t just focus on the action (though there’s plenty), but also the human toll on families, on the agents, and of course, on the child herself. Katie isn’t just a plot device; she’s a character you care about.
This is the kind of thriller that gets under your skin in the best (and worst) ways. It dares to ask, “What if this is really happening?” and then shows you exactly how it could be.

What I really enjoyed is how believable the story feels the mix of politics, secret power structures, and danger makes you wonder how much could actually be true. The characters are strong, layered, and add real depth to the action-packed plot.

This book messed with my head in the best possible way. The Illuminati Protocol is a terrifying blend of FBI procedural, global conspiracy, and heart-wrenching drama. I’ve read plenty of abduction thrillers, but this one hit differently. Why? Because it feels real. Too real.
From the moment 11-year-old Katie is snatched from her bed, you’re plunged into a gut-twisting 24-hour countdown that never lets up. SSA Bing Ingram is the kind of protagonist you want on your side: calm, intelligent, and quietly haunted by what he’s seen. The way he pieces together the truth with help from Special Agent Dambrowska is masterful, but also deeply human.

The Illuminati Protocol is a thrilling mix of mystery, conspiracy, and action that had me hooked from the start. The author does an incredible job weaving together hidden agendas, secret societies, and fast-paced suspense that keeps you flipping the pages late into the night.
What I really enjoyed was how the story balanced intelligent world-building with high-stakes drama. Every chapter revealed a new layer, pulling me deeper into the plot and leaving me questioning who could truly be trusted. The twists were unpredictable and the ending left me eager for the next installment.

Excellent book, I was a little uneasy reading a book about human trafficking but this author barely touches on the transactions and deals more with the network behind this whole sordid underworld. The FBI and local authorities with the help of two very determined canines take you across the country tracking down the perpetrators of this criminal enterprise. Mr. Ristino will keep you turning the pages and staying up late into the night to find out what happens next. For those of you that like an action packed thriller this is a must read.
