Ruth Cardello was born the youngest of 11 children in a small city in northern Rhode Island. She spent her young adult years moving as far away as she could from her large extended family. She lived in Boston, Paris, Orlando, New York--then came full circle and moved back to New England. She now happily lives one town over from the one she was born in. For her, family trumped the warmer weather and international scene.

She was an educator for 20 years, the last 11 as a kindergarten teacher. Loved Kane , he’s so cool . But the poor guy got saddled with a real pain in my mind .
Gigi is the biggest winer I think I’ve read in a long time , that being said I really enjoyed the book.
A great series . On to the next ones .

For me, it was a predictable outcome but not an obvious pairing to match Gigi with Kane. In fact, I enjoyed the cameo appearances of the other four Andrade brothers and their spouses even more than the story about Kane and Gigi. Maybe it was their age difference? (ten years) Or Gigi's inexperience? She had major trust issues from her childhood as the illegitimate daughter hidden from her father's "other" family. Although he kept her birth a secret to protect her, it made her emotionally closed off. She was angry throughout the book even though it was understandable. What did not seem realistic was Kane's obsession with her. It brought things to a nice resolution because Gigi reconciled with her four brothers. My least favorite book in the series.

Worth the wait romance… last in series

So this is the last book in the wonderful Andrade series. I’ve said it on all the previous reviews of this series, but seriously, you MUST read the rest of the Andrade series first because otherwise you are not going to get the full benefit of the big picture that has been building throughout. You should also read The Legacy Collection before that if you can because these series are all interlinked.

The final book in this series features not an Andrade by name but by birthright and also by association.

Gigi Bassano is the long lost and previously unknown youngest half sister of the Andrade brothers. Her existence was kept a secret until the death of their father but at George Andrade’s request, Gigi was kept away from her Andrade family largely due to his vindictive wife’s bitterness and resentment..

For years, Gigi had believed she wasn’t accepted by her fathers other family. She thought that being kept a secret was because they didn’t want anything to do with her - but it had only ever been for her safety from the wrath of Patrice Stansfield - mother of her four brothers. But the years of watching her father flit between his two families had made Gigi bitter and resentful herself. She never felt good enough, because if she was, why hadn’t her father given up his marriage to be with her mother, the woman he professed his true love for.

It had definitely left her confused about the truth and mistrustful of anyones intentions or affections.

She’d continued to avoid her brothers, no matter how much they reached out to her… but when she is invited to Slater Island for their four-way joint wedding she decides to attend - in secret - deciding not to reveal her identity.

The wedding stirs a lot of unwanted emotions. She hoped that they would live up to the belief she had of them as being cruel, arrogant and uncaring, but seeing them with their new wives told her that her brothers were nothing like she’d thought. As much as she wanted to hate them - she couldn’t. But it made her unhappy that she’d been kept out of their lives. Can she trust them? Are they really wanting her to be in their lives.

What she definitely wasn’t expecting was to find a man that lit her heart up (and other places) like no other man ever had. Kane Sawyer - her oldest brother Gio’s best friend.

The problem was… she had not only lied to him about who she was, she didn’t want to be there and even though they share a heated and passionate kiss, they abruptly part ways.

For years Kane can’t get the beautiful but troubled Gigi out of his head. There’s all sorts of reasons why he and Gigi shouldn’t be together, especially when he discovers that she was in fact his best friends half sister… and the age gap. But he’s smitten. No one else can come close to her. Is it worth risking his friendship for her? And even if she returns his feelings will she accept her family and the love they want to give her.

This love story feels like a constant battle and there are times when Gigi’s troubled childhood impacts her ability to see beyond what she thinks she knows. It’s hard for her to trust… but the more she gets to know all of her huge Andrade family, the more she realises that she has been wrong. She really had been kept a secret for her own good but getting over that feeling of being rejected for all those years is hard.

It’s a tale of waiting for the right moment and trying to win the heart of a frightened and scared young woman who believes that real love doesn’t exist. It’s only when she witnesses just what lengths Kane is willing to go to to prove his love for her, that she begins to see that letting her guard down will open her heart.

Great story. Absolutely adore Kane. Love him. So tenacious and utterly deserving of happiness in the form of her love. Also really like the dynamic he has with the Andrade brothers. Lots of ribbing and brotherly banter, but also true affection and respect for each other. They want to see their sister happy and they know Kane is the sort of man that could give her that.

Excellent end to the series… but it seems it doesn’t end there. Bring on the Barrington’s!

The Andrade brothers need to reconcile with their baby sister Gigi. So far she's resisted all efforts to contact her and bring her into the fold. Julia sends Kane Sanders to Scotland to convince her to return back to New York to meet her brothers. Gigi has always felt like the forgotten, hidden sibling since her father and her mother were never married. When Kane arrives he realizes that Gigi is the elusive Lisiella that he met at the quadruple wedding three years ago and hasn't been able to stop thinking about since. Gigi travels to New York but Cain resolves to keep his distance. Things get a lot worse before they get better and Gigi can't seem to get out of her own way but eventually Kane realizes how much he loves her now if he can just convince Gigi. He sets out on a quest that she assigned to him and hopefully by completing it he will show her how he really feels about her. Elaborate plans for a proposal are set up and the entire Andrade plan is there to help the happy couple celebrate their joy.

I first read a fair few of this authors books through my library many years ago but all my reviews posted from then are no longer available.
Finding this author has joined Kindle Unlimited, I am treating myself to a reread.
Found Gigi a bit of an immature selfish brat for most of this book.
She punished her brothers for their behaviour, when they had only been told the lies of their deranged Mather. Once they knew the truth, they were the ones trying to form a bond with her, which she ignored.
She punished her mother for loving a man and giving birth to her out of wedlock.
The only one who deserved her anger was her dead father for being a weak coward.
Her parents choices were not hers to alter and she shouldn’t have felt ashamed.
Kane, though I liked him, was just not who I wanted to see end up with Gigi.
There yo-yo relationship of have sex then break up was annoying.
He just wasn’t right for her and I cannot see these two together long term. Annalise would have suited him better.

This was a perfect wrap up of this Andrade family. Gigi is half-sister to four older brothers and wants nothing to do with them because she thinks they rejected her. Kane is the best friend of the oldest brother and is sent by that brother's wife to bring Gigi to meet her brothers. They met previously, years earlier, and haven't been able to forget each other.

Gigi needs to learn how to forgive her father for dying, her mother for not being married to her father, and these half-brothers for their rejection of her. Kane is the man to help her, along with the rest of the Andrade family. She won't let them roll over her and they won't let her believe they don't love her. It's great to see how they have all grown.

Split on this one

The book itself is very good but the audiobook is irritating. I read and/or listen to my books. I was mostly comfortable with the narrator of the previous 4 Andrade books, but this narrator needs to upgrade her skills. All the female leads sounded squeaky. Those characters who should have had Italian accents all sounded more southern than anything else. What I particularly cringed at was the pronunciation of Edinburgh. The name of the town is not pronounced the way it is spelled for Americans. Gigi is not American, but Italian. She was educated in England and lived in Edinburgh for a number of years. All the characters are wealthy and well educated and would also know the pronunciation as well. It is pronounced “Edinboro”.

Great read

I have absolutely loved the Andrades series each book has got better but I do think that this is the best. Gigi is such a mixed girl not surprisingly as the bastard child of Gio senior and his mistress the whole Andrades clan has been trying to get to her since they found out about her but she avoided them, it took Kane Sanders to get her to meet her brothers and the rest off the family. Kane is a gorgeous hunk who fell for her several years before they go through a lot of difficulties but in the end their fierce chemistry wins through. This is a hot sexy romance and a fitting end to this series. Look forward to reading more Ruth Cardello books.

The last book in the Andrade series features Kane and Gigi. Their love takes a while to develop, but the chemistry is hot from the very beginning.

This can be a stand alone book. I highly recommend reading The Legacy Series first and then The Andrade series in order. Ruth Cardello writes a great romance. She intertwined the main characters of each book into a very large cast of characters in both series. You won't want to miss a single page of their intertwined lives. The Barrington Series also intertwined with the two series.

Five stars! Viva Gigi!

This book is Loving Gigi, book five of The Andrades series, written by Ruth Cardello. Gigi is the last of the siblings but she doesn’t want to have anything to do with that side of her family. Will they convince her to share in the joy of her huge family? Will Gigi decide that she is better being alone with only her mother and best friend? Who will her brothers allow to become her romantic interest? All these secrets and more will come into the light of this great book!

I read every book in this series, even though I'm sad it has come to an end. Each book was written in a way that kept you hooked and waiting. I had tears at times and found myself laughing out loud and gave me goosebumps when thing got tense or so lost in this amazing world the author has woven together for everyone to enjoy! This is the final book of the Andrade saga. This is the story of Gigi, the sister they didn’t know about, and Kane, Gio’s best friend. Good read and Ruth Cardello writes a good story of family love, life’s misunderstandings, and forgiveness for what can’t be changed. Kane and Gigi have many obstacles to overcome, but it seems their biggest challenges are getting past their own fears. This 5 book series is well worth the read.

Cute Ending to the Andrades

Gigi finally agrees to meet her half brothers. Kade is the one that went to get her in Venice while visiting her mother. The brothers had spent years trying to get her to meet with them. It was finally happening. The reconciliation of the Andrade family and Gigi finding her one true love ends this chapter of the Andrades life.

Loving Gigi...

The last book in the Andrades series. This book does not disappoint. It is loving, passionate and angst filled. Gigi is the baby and the most difficult. She falls for her older brother's best friend Kane. Now add in the insecurities with dramatic twists and turns. It's a great read to end this set of books.

Hilariously Sweet

I laugh every time the women of the Andrade family get together to plan the next match making. I laughed at Anneliese and her awkward moments with Kana and Gigia. I am so glad the boys got their baby sister in their life and laughed as how Julia had to control her man Gio.

Not as good as the others

I was looking forward to Gigi being pulled into the fold but she honestly got on my nerves. I understood where she was coming from but she acted like a brat rather than a grown woman. Since the book featured a lot of her drama it felt long and drawn out. Not a fan which is sad since this ended the series.

Loving Gigi

Finally the Andrades men get to meet their sister. Gigi thought they didn't want to know her but when Kane brings her to meet them she realizes it was time. And that song she felt with Kane was all to real.
Sad to see the series end. I'll miss the characters.
