Emotional

Written well, this is not just emotional but matured itself. Princess did what she must do. She kept herself aside and chose the peace of Kingdoms over that.

I was quite impressed with how the author confronted the lesson she intended to get across. Very skilled writing, especially for a "kids book". This book is greatly improved by being a book of text, not a "picture" book. (It's still a great length for a bedtime story.) The author arrives at her lesson gently, not pounding us over the head with it. Great job!

Princess Daisy lived in a beautiful kingdom.
She had everything anyone could wish for.
But she wished for a mother.
She was raised cared for by her father & Heidi.
Daisy (12) watched as her father had to go to war.
She was scared & crying & all of a suddenly Bloom the Flower Fairy of Wishes appeared.
Daisy had 1 wish only.

I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) fairy tale storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s fairy tale movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

Consider Everyone Before Making A Wish 🧚🏼‍♀️

Despite having a treasure trove of princess gowns, crystal tiaras, royal slippers, and a big white horse, Daisy reclines on her golden canopy bed, wishing desperately for the one thing in life she doesn’t have — a mother. After having lost her mother during infancy, her nursemaid and father are the only guardians she’s ever known. When neighboring kingdoms declare war on the castle, Daisy’s father must dangerously lead his army into battle. As her teardrops fall in the castle garden, a small fairy emerges from an enchanted flower to grant her a single wish.

What will she ultimately request? You’ll have to read the book and find out, but this is a story of benevolent gestures and unexpected gifts! The language is simple and straightforward, the dialogue is realistic, the illustrations are appealing, and the length is just right. 👌🏽

There are beautiful illustrations sprinkled throughout this book. The Princess had many beautiful things including a pure white horse named Ivory. All she wanted was a mother. She was raised by her father. The King, and her nurse maid, Heidi. She loved them but wondered what a mother's love would have been like to have had. The Kingdom went to war and her father went off to lead them. The Princess was very upset and went to the garden to cry. One of her teardrops fell on a flower that looked different. What happened? I don't know? How about you? I want to find out? This is a great listening/reading/team reading story. I'm sorry. I want to finish reading now. Enjoy your story, I'm going to.
I found This Book on Amazon Kindle Unlimited Website. You can, too. 😁

Princess Daisy by Mary K. Smith
Starts with table of contents and audible version or paperback copy available.
Story starts out with Daisy and she has her own kingdom.
She's tired of everything it takes to be just a princess and wants to be a mother. Her own had died after she was born.
Her father the king is so busy with fighting wars for the castle, she escapes into the garden near her favorite tree...
The Flower fairy of wishes comes to visit with her and she has only 24 hours to make a wish.
Things change after she is granted her wish, one she did not see coming...
Great ending of treating others and know needs of others and then your dreams will come true.
More works by the author are highlighted at the end.

Princess Daisy appears to have everything anyone could need. One thing is missing from her life, a mother. Sadly, the Queen died many years ago. Daisy feels this loss more than any other.

One day, a fairy appears to Daisy and agrees to grant her one wish. At first Daisy is sure what it will be, but a dramatic change in circumstances may force a change of heart.

This book is a short, beginning chapter book with a few colorful illustrations. I suggest it particularly for new readers in the six to eight age group.

Cute and Sweet! Princess Daisy has always longed for something that would make her the happiest girl in the kingdom. But when faced with a dilemma, she must choose between her own wish or a wish for others. A sweet storyline and cute illustrations.

Daisy ponders: "You might imagine that such a princess had everything she could ever want, but this was not the case with Princess Daisy" (kindle loc. 21). 👑🧚‍♀️

NOT APPROPRIATE FOR THIS AGE GROUP!

I started to read this to my 4 year old granddaughter and within a few pages I had to change the words and the story as it talked about the mother of the "princess" dying! What kind of a sick author does that!? I'm deleting this entire series! Ridiculous for a preschool child to have to digest!

Wonderful little book!

I read this to a five year old girl and while I was worried that some parts may be a bit too much for her to quite comprehend - I was pleasantly surprised that she not only enjoyed it, she understood and was SO Happy for Princess Daisy in the end!

This was a nice story that actually tries to teach kids a lesson about thinking about others and not putting yourself first. I love that. My daughter really liked the story too.

Beautiful story!

Even though it's a cool book for kids, I read it for fun and found it amazing for its lesson. Pictures are marvelous and add to the beauty of this story.

This is a sweet little story about a princess without a mother. While there are some pictures, this is not a typical illustrated children's book.

Will Daisy receive Her Wish?

I liked the fact that this Princess Daisy not only had she prayed for a war to cease and received it but also that she was to receive a real mother of her own. The illustrations were beautiful as well.
I really recommend this for young kids and especially girls from 4-8 years old. So, for these reasons I feel that this ebook needs a five star rating. I received this ebook for free with KU and have now given it and honest review. Great job Mary K.! By Angela

This cute story is about a Princess who has everything she ever wanted, but is missing the one true thing she desires the most, a mother. This story is well written with a beginning, middle and end. It is perfect for young readers, ages 5-8, to read and practice retelling. Some of the vocabulary and the book themes may be difficult, but they can lend themselves to rich discussion when guided by an adult or teacher. Nice, succinct storytelling.

Good Book

This book has a good storyline. It can help kids understand putting others before themselves. The only problem is that I don't know the age category for this book. It has a theme (Princesses and Kings) of a book written for 5-7 year olds but the topic of death is also in this book. I believe this book is probably better for kids 8-10. Other than that I would totally recommend this book if you're trying to teach your kids about being kind and helping others.

A good book

Good but I think it needs to be a longer mysterious story if so a chapter book. I really really love this story.
