In her first book, Spiritual Warfare, Ari Kopel exposed the dark forces at work on our planet, as well as some flaws in the New Age Movement. She asked the tough questions few are willing to ask, most notably: if everything “is working according to Divine Order,” why are we seeing unprecedented violence, tragedy and upheaval in the world? She also debunked the myth that we need a guru or other spiritual middle man to connect with the Divine. We all, she said, have the ability to have an ongoing, two-way communication with God and the heavenly realms. Now, in Getting Back to Source, she puts her money where her mouth is, providing moving experiences from her own life, as well as simple practices that everyone can use to make this contact.
What I love most about Ari’s books is that she does not pull any punches or talk in flowery language that one must struggle to understand. Instead, she breaks each exercise – and its purpose – down into easy-to-follow steps. At the same time, she acknowledges the uniqueness of each person’s experience. One can be at the beginning of their spiritual journey, or a defector from an organized movement or religion, and still grow their awareness and connection to God. She also includes the prayers and mantras that have made major shifts for her, personally and professionally.
After reading Spiritual Warfare, I suspected Kopel was a voice that needs to be heard. After reading Getting Back to Source I am absolutely positive.
