Hajime Isayama (諫山 創 Isayama Hajime, born 1986) is a Japanese manga artist from Ōyama, Ōita. His first and currently ongoing serial, Attack on Titan, has sold over 22 million copies as of July 2013. He has mentioned Tsutomu Nihei, Ryōji Minagawa, Kentaro Miura, Hideki Arai and Tōru Mitsumine as artists he respects, but stated that the manga that had the biggest influence on him was ARMS.
This felt like just a lot of strategy and filler scenes until that final chapter when things started to get intense. I'm glad that Armin is finally starting to be useful. I've never much liked him, but he's starting to grow on me. Also, is it bad that I don't hate the villains?? I'm not talking about the titans, but the other villains. I still like them and I'm not fully convinced that they'll all remain evil until the end of the series.
I saw spoilers for two major characters that die in this series and I feel empty inside. I know that their deaths will probably be soon and it just hurts to even think about them being dead but at the same time, I feel numb.
Anyways, time to go order more volumes of the series and hope that they arrive soon.
It is seriously getting harder and harder waiting a whole effing month for the next chapter to come out. Especially when every damn chapter ends in a cliffhanger.
This one was a lot of strategy and talk, but the end makes me think the next one is going to be all action. The real question is who's going to make it out alive. Fingers crossed it's no one I care about. Guess I have to read Volume 19 to find out.
I feel like we're getting to an end, but in reality, it's just the need to wait. I love the progression of the story and I'm quite impressed at its speed.
Will they finally tale Maria wall? Who knows. It doesn't look good, and the series hasn't been relying on much dues ex machine. Indeed, everything has been well accounted for.
. [image error]
A slow build-up, with a trip through memory lane, to a climactic battle at the place it all began He’s already great because he was born into this world.
The instructor from the first part gave me Snape vibes, including tragic love story and all. Potato-girl her love for food is endearing. Armin amazes me, sharp thinking were the Colossus might be laying in hiding.
Special people do exist. It’s just that I wasn’t one of them.
Your mother, Carla, said this to me... "Do you have to be special? Do you have to be acknowledged by others? I don't believe that. At the very least, this boy... It's alright if he doesn't become a great man... Why does he need to be better than everyone else? After all, just look. He's so cute. This child is already great. After all, he was born into this world." - Keith Shadis
There are battles in this world where many can die and much can be sacrificed, without accomplishing anything. --
"But then you came running to me with a book. Both of us were outcasts, not able to get along with the other kids in town. That's all we were back then. But when I heard you telling me those things... and I saw the look in your eyes... You looked like you were seeing an amazing dream. But... I didn't have anything. That's when I knew for the first time. I wasn't free. I noticed that I had been living in a birdcage for all this time. And that these freakish things had taken my freedom. The world was so big, but they'd forced me into a tiny cage. And when I realized that... I knew I could never forgive them." - Eren Jaeger
the relationship between Erwin and Levi is everything, Levi has already predicted something terrible is about to come, he keeps losing everyone he loves and no, that is not ok... I'm gonna understand why he will choose who he is going to choose after the tragic outcome because he was eavesdropping the kids about going to the sea :')
This ended on such a cliff hanger! I'm so excited to read vol 19! Just like the rest of this series this was amazing and I really enjoyed it. I really want to read vol 19 but I've not got vol 20 yet and vol 19 will probably end as a cliff hanger as well XD. I'll hopefully be getting it soon or im gonna go crazy. I'm gonna have a look on amazon and try and get it.
The storyline is still amazing and there is so many things happening at once and that's how I like the storyline to go. Volumes 19 and 20 will definitely going to be exciting and I'm excited to read them. I feel like the artwork just keeps getting better and I didn't think it could. Everything about this series is amazing and makes me want to instantly want to read more. I really cant find anything wrong with this series and I think everyone should give this series a chance because it is amazing and I hope that if someone does start reading this series, that they enjoy it because it deserves to be loved by everyone.
This was a great volume and focuses on Eren and all partying after their victory and then meeting with Keith shadis, their instructor and he tells them about Grisha and we learn he may have come from outside the walls and more revelations happen, partying before the quest to retake wall maria and they do go ahead to retake the wall and when it seems like there are no titans..its all a set up and the humans need to get ready for their biggest battle vs Beast Titan! Epic volume, and good moments for every characters, reaffirming Eren's dream and then the art is just a marvel to look at, it has become better with this volume and the next arc is gonna be epic! Also Armin becoming a leader slowly!
Anime nisanda buradan devam edecek, beklediğimize kesinlikle degecek!
Rating manga is difficult because it’s like rating a movie scene by scene - this is all one huge story. Some scenes are iconic and instantly stick out but the flow of the entirety of the project is what should be the focus. When I read death note I loved the beginning- such a cool idea but it became longer and more convoluted as it went on but I did enjoy the ending for the most part BUT some scenes (killing the talk show hosts, the Mexican stand off) stood out but the whole series felt like a few issues too long. With that in mind…
This better shows us who Eren is and who his family was, creating a deeper meaning for the reader. Eren clearly has a complex about his failures as a warrior and as a man and is of course worried about his titan powers… is he annoying, YES but I care about him and it has maintained my interest for several chapters.
In this collection they get to walk Maria and set up the battle between the humans and titans in a sort of final stand off, the monkey man is back on his bullshit and clearly has a plan. I believe in humanity 🙏
Okay so we're finally back to the original issue at hand. Historia is now queen, the military coup has been legitimised. We see the survey corps getting back to what they do best, killing titans and solving problems. The plan is to use Eren's armouring titan ability to close the wall now that they know he can do that, despite the draw backs it seems to have on his stamina. They are going to close the hole in the wall of Maria and figure out what lies in Eren's basement. But of course it's never that easy as Bertolt, Reiner and now the Beast Titan all rally against them. We begin to find out more about Eren's dad, finding out he is actually from outside of the walls and the mystery only deepens. I only have access up to volume 22 via KU and I am dreading that it's going to leave me on a cliffhanger. Just as things are getting good.
