My Craving

Not yet published
Expected 13 Oct 26
MY CRAVING is a dark MM age-gap romance featuring Brat x Daddy, Billionaire x Vigilante, possessive obsession, vigilante justice, hidden identities, and a dangerous enemy determined to destroy the Murphy family.

DUNCAN

I've spent my life in control. As CEO of Murphy Enterprises, there are few problems I can't solve and even fewer threats I can't eliminate. Then Nash Campbell catches my attention. Fifteen years younger. Bratty. Infuriating. And hiding more secrets than I can count. I don't know why I crave him. I only know that I do.

And once a Murphy decides something belongs to him, we don't let go. Nash is mine. He just doesn't know what that means yet.

NASH

Getting involved with Duncan Murphy is a terrible idea. Not because he's fifteen years older than me. Not because he's a powerful billionaire who thinks "no" is the beginning of a negotiation. And definitely not because the man brings every Daddy fantasy I've ever had to life.
The problem is Duncan doesn't know who I really am. He doesn't know what I do when monsters escape justice. He thinks I'm the one who needs protecting. He's wrong. Because someone is coming for Duncan Murphy.

And they have no idea what I'm willing to do to protect what's mine.

This is book 4 in the Murphy Enterprises Series and this is "Daddy" Duncan's story. Duncan is Declan's dad (book 1) and Uncle to Ronan, Conor, Liam & Finn. He is also on the Anti-Social Personality Disorder spectrum (like all of the Murphy men) and gah! is this man hawt! Anyway..he meets Nash who delivers lunch to him every day, as he works for the company's food service, and it's craving at first sight. My favorite part of this book is that Nash is a badass in his own right and doesn't need saving. He's his own man and that man is a Vigilante and a brat that perhaps needs a Daddy and a spanking once in awhile. Duncan is happy to oblige (while having him followed of course!) So between solving a mystery, saving the streets of Philly from the evil people on their lists, Sunday dinners with the fam... they do manage to have some delicious spicy times. I enjoyed everything about this book and loved visiting with all of my favorite Murphy's. This was an easy 5-stars from me.

I've come to accept that going into the Murphy universe means expecting the unexpected. You'd think I would have learned that by now with book 4, but nope, I'm still amazed by this series.

My craving had me cackling, giggling, and foot-swinging as if I'm not a grown adult 😂. Liiiisten, this book had me behaving like a schoolgirl, I tell you! Nash and Duncan, along with the family, cracked me up.

This book wasn't as heavy as the previous ones, despite triggering topics, but don't think for one second that there wasn't some ambitious fool the Murphys had to remind of what happens when you mess with their clan.

I wanted to hug Declan, but I'm glad both he and his dad got closure. Ollie and Liam's beef will never not be funny, lol; dude can't catch a break from the lil menace. You know, Max was a surprise, though I kinda sorta started suspecting him, hehe.

My sweet, bratty Nash!!! I freaking love him, and he just fits right in with the clan. And omg:

"I stopped thinking of this as your house. I stopped feeling like I was visiting your family. I started coming home instead of coming to your house, and I don’t even remember when that changed.”

OMG, TALK ABOUT SWEET! ❤️

Overall, My Craving was a smooth read filled with laughter, some action, love, and, of course, drama.

My Craving, Book 4 in the Murphy Enterprises series, will go live on October 13th.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

- this is 100% my honest review to this arc
WENDI 😩👌🏻
A Brat Daddy trope?! SAT and its a FK YES
To Daddy Duncan & Nash 100%
Daddy Duncan is literally everything 😮‍💨 thank you for that

The dynamic between these two was perfect as usual wendi delivers on a obsessive, possessive morally gray man. I have loved Duncan each time hes been mentioned throughout the series and to say I wasnt PUMPED for his book would have been a lie.

Hit EVERY expectation, I love all the characters coming in and the found family thats been written throughout this series

Wendi 10/10 will recommend!
Thank you for the opportunity to arc read again. I absolutely can not wait for more 😩👌🏻LOVE the Murphy men.

I was provided an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

I absolutely love the Murphy Enterprises series. Billionaires, psychopaths, vigilante justice, and obsessive/possessive men? You can always count me in.

"My Craving", the third installment in the series, takes everything I already enjoy about this world and turns the crazy up another notch. We get more of the wonderfully chaotic Murphy family, enemies coming from unexpected directions, danger that keeps getting closer, and a love story built on two men who are both more than a little unhinged in their own ways.

Duncan is not my absolute favorite Murphy—I have my loyalties—but he and Nash are absolutely perfect together. Their relationship works because neither one of them is exactly what the other expected. Duncan has to realize that Nash is nowhere near as innocent or helpless as he may appear, while Nash has to understand just how deep Duncan's possessive and protective instincts run. Once they start seeing each other for who they really are? Oh, it works.

And Duncan... whew. You begin to understand pretty quickly why he is the way he is and how he became capable of being the man we see in this book. Without spoiling anything, there is a part of his past that made me want to climb straight through my Kindle and personally deal with the person responsible.

One thing I especially enjoyed was that Nash isn't simply along for the ride. He has his own secrets, his own sense of justice, and his own very questionable ideas about how certain people should be dealt with. Watching Duncan discover exactly who Nash really is—and watching the two of them figure out how to be partners instead of constantly trying to protect or outmaneuver one another—was one of my favorite parts of the story.

Can you read *My Craving* as a standalone? Maybe. The main romance can certainly be followed, but personally, I wouldn't recommend starting here. Begin with the first book. The Murphy family dynamics, relationships, running jokes, alliances, and general mayhem are so much better when you already know everyone involved.

This one is my favorite of the series so far. Duncan and Nash gave me exactly the kind of dark, obsessive, slightly deranged romance I came for, while still giving me plenty of Murphy family chaos and vigilante justice.

If you've enjoyed the first two books, I have a feeling this one might become your favorite too. :)

Wendi has done it again! I cannot get enough of the Murphy family. I really enjoyed this book but I’m not surprised as I love the writing style, plots, and suspense of each book.

I was so excited for Duncan’s story and it didn’t disappoint. While daddy/brat usually isn’t one of my favorite tropes, this was done very well and I really enjoyed it. There were so many bratty moments that had me chuckling out loud because Nash is the true definition of a brat! I love how, instead of going off the rails, Duncan seemed to know how to reel him in.

The relationship building of the two and how everything came together in the end had me smiling. I love how not only Duncan and Nash came together but the whole family banded together yet again! The closeness of the whole family and what they do makes my heart happy (although, I’m not sure it should based on what they do 😅)

I also really liked the plot line. There were so many twists and turns that I was sitting there with bug eyes at. In particular, the ending. The bomb shell of information that was dropped on us 😳, my flabber was gasted. I love how the series just keeps getting better and better and the Murphy family gets closer and keeps growing.

If you love a great daddy/brat relationship, a plot that gets thicker and then makes your jaw drop, funny moments that have you laughing out loud, and an age gap with a stern, tough guy that has a “soft spot only for you”, this book is for you. The Murphy Enterprises series is one of my absolute favorites and I cannot wait to read more of them!

This is the 4th book in the Murphy Enterprises series. Like books 1-3, this was no disappointment. I finished this book in a single day because Wendi Varner’s couples are so captivating.

Daddy Duncan and Nash are magic together. Nash really put Duncan through the wringer before succumbing to the Delicious Daddy who relentlessly pursued him.

I enjoy that Duncan didn’t question his mid-life bi-awakening and instead just fully embraced his craving for Nash.

As with all the other Murphy books, found family continues to be my favorite trope. As always, Alessia and Ollie stop the show during their respective scenes.

This book contained a few twists that were not easily discernible which I enjoyed. Sometimes books can be predictable, but the twists in this were things I didn’t see coming.

The tension keeps you on your toes and the romance keeps you gooey and warm.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tropes:
- 15 year age gap
- light BDSM dynamics (Daddy/brat)
- found family
- possessive MCs
- Touch him and die….. literally

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

At this point, I already know that picking up another book in the Murphy Enterprises series means I’m about to get chaos, questionable morals, a ridiculous amount of family drama, and a couple I’m going to become completely obsessed with and My Craving absolutely delivered.

Duncan and Nash??? I LOVED THEM. 😭 Nash is such a brat, and watching him go toe-to-toe with Duncan instead of being intimidated by him was probably one of my favorite things about their relationship. He can handle himself, he knows exactly who he is, and he definitely doesn’t need Duncan to swoop in and save him. Does that stop Duncan from being protective and having him followed anyway? Of course not.

Overall, My Craving gave me exactly what I wanted.. an adorably bratty Nash, an obsessive and protective Daddy Duncan, plenty of spice, family chaos, laughs, suspense, and those unexpectedly soft moments that had me melting. I seriously did not want to leave the Murphy universe.

Book 4 in the Murphy Enterprises series.

I absolutely love this book! Devoured it in two days! 💕

Daddy Duncan. 🥵🔥

I absolutely fucking love Duncan and Nash.
This book was different than the others in the series so far. I have loved every book, they're all unique in their own way. There was just something about this one that kept me hooked.
I love a Daddy - Brat dynamic. Nash and Duncan were an amazing example of this. 💕
Duncan didn't hesitate to adapt and give Nash what he needed even though he has no experience with men or the dynamic.
Once the Murphy men decide you belong to them, there is absolutely no changing their minds. It happened with Declan & Xavier (book 1), Ronan & Colton (book 2), Conor & Jaxon (book 3), and Duncan was no different with Nash! 🥰
Let's talk about Alessia Murphy for a moment.... She is a force of nature and absolutely runs the Murphy family! She keeps all the guys in line on top of being a badass. ❤️ I love her so much.

My craving by Wendi Varner is an arc that I devoured in less than 48 hours. This is the fourth installment of the Mercury enterprise series. This is a dark age gap MM romance before I began let me Start off by saying that prologue was intense it gave cinematic if you you know
the premise of this story centers around Duncan Murphy a CEO at Murphy Enterprises who is a psychopath that give daddy vibes (in a the family of psychopaths) and Nash Campbell works at Murphy Enterprises Sinister reasons and hiding a shadowy secret who has a daddy kink these characters are both powerful and fierce but with a softer side in relation to each other loved how the author kept the reader guessing and the plot twist towards the end was crazy I give this 5 stars and as always I like to give my recommendation on who I would pick if an audiobook is possible I would chose Nash to be voiced Iggy Toma and Duncan by Gregory Salinas My Craving releases October 13 and will be available On KU make sure you check it out

I received this book as an advanced copy from the author.

I already knew when this one was announced and the trope that it would become my favorite one. Nash is so sassy and Duncan is absolute daddy goals. This one really helps you feel the difference in how each of the Murphy men feel about their partners. You understand Declan‘s obsession, Ronan‘s addiction, and Connor’s fixation versus Duncan‘s craving for Nash. In the first book Duncan was this overwhelming presence of a man that seemed untouchable. He just needed the right brat to bring out the daddy in him.

Wendi yet again knocks it out of the ballpark with the Murphy clan. My Craving is about Duncan and Nash. And let’s just say DADDY Duncan has found his BRAT. Because if there was one word to describe Nash, that’s exactly what I would use. And these two couldn’t have been paired with anyone better than each other. Wendi always finds a way to suck me into the story and not let me out until I’m done. Ate this up with absolutely 0 crumbs left.

One sitting. Zero regrets. The Murphy family owns my whole attention span. Duncan is daddy personified, and if you haven’t read book one, you’re missing the blueprint for this delightful chaos.

Nash arrives guarded, fueled by justice and revenge, but the Murphy fam bam scoops him up like he’s been theirs forever. He doesn’t stand a chance.

Side note: Ollie’s aggression toward Liam? I lived for it.

Oh my goodness, this may be the best one yet! The love story of Duncan (quiet, dangerous, psychopathic) and Nash (sassy, outspoken, brat) will have you hooked from the beginning. From tears to deep belly laughs it will make you want to tuck in and read it from cover to cover. Add in the incredibly hot MM scenes between the two and you have one incredible ride.
