I got the privilege of getting an ARC copy of Jonny Ward's upcoming release, Mischief. Thank you, Jonny! Spoiler free review:
Things I said out loud with zero context, "Ew, Audible Gasp, Eff you Brenden," and that was just the prologue. Ward grabs your attention from the start and keeps you there. I needed to get to know Veronica and what stoked her fire. It's a bloody fun, graphic, gorey ride, and you just need to experience the furry little friends for yourself. I personally can't wait to read more from Ward and hopefully more about Veronica.
If you love the splatterpunk genre, feminine rage, and/or rats, this is a MUST read for you.
Warning: This is 100% splatter punk. Read if you dare!

Saw meets feminine rage.
Come on seriously what’s better than a pedo getting his due in the form of… well rat torture 🫢
Seriously this book is DISGUSTING. ( as is should be 🩸)
The writing is phenomenal, the story is brutal and unfolds extremely quickly. ( you are literally thrown into the torture 😈) but it’s not just brutal and deliciously gross the story has a great cat and mouse vibe to it with the price at her heels, seriously keeps you on the edge.
If your into splatter and dark sh*t, give this book a read. 💩🐀

This book was a trip to read. There were a couple times I didn't think it was going to go the way it did and I was here for it. It was a great way to look at a revenge story from two different people and wonder how they both got to that point. The gore was just the right amount and it never felt like it was too much for the basis of the story.

First impression when starting this book I got was of the Saw movie series. Who doesn’t love a good feminine rage story going up against molesters? With her pet rats as her best friends and endless ways of torturing people before finally doing what is best for the world. It’s a great revenge story filled with twists and turns that keeps you wanting to read more.

A gross, gorey revenge story.
Honestly I love Veronica, not all hero’s wear capes.
And now I can add rats to List of Animals on Cocaine.
But seriously, if you have a weak stomach and not a fan of rodents be weary.

This book definitely took some emotional twist and turns that I was not expecting. The story kept me enthralled the entire time. I was crying, laughing and cheering all throughout the book.
