The book is used in my italian language classes. Based on the books I have used to study other languages, I had a bit higher expectations. The excercises in the book are ok, but I hoped more of them. Also, the way book splits some excercises in different parts of the book, is confusing, meaning that you have to jump between different parts of the book. I would have preferred the all excercises related to each chapter would be right after reading/listening part.

The book is also bit heavy and too big to be carried with you everyday (which is necessary, when going to classes several times a week).

It's generally a great textbook for Italian learners who has already A2 level, or it would be hard to understand the questions. Me myself only had A1 when I started reading this book so it took much time to looking up the unknown words. A really annoying disadvantage is that it puts all the exercise part to the end of the book, which is inconvenient so I simply skipped the exercise...

Absolutely do not recommend this book
It’s completely disorganized in the sense that subjects jump all over the book in no particular order that makes sense
I am giving it the lowest review in the hope other books are used rather than this one ! Barron makes a far better book for learning

I don't recommend this book. No, in fact, I strongly advise everyone against it.
Don't red it unless you must. Unfortunately I had to read all three books in the series.

It is filled with vocabulary you will never use. There are words in here which aren't even in the dictionary. You will suffer learning them if you're reading for a particular course or exam, as I am.

It does not have consistency. Sometimes it's difficult and complicated, and in the same chapters it's pretty beginner. There is no step-by-step here. There is no taking it easy.

In Chapter 3, while you're still trying to lean how to say "My name is," the book forces you to face a long list of (It's actually a menu) of Italian meals.

The book is entertaining and follows a formal structure throughout the levels. Advisable if you are interested to learn Italian both for academic purposes and as a hobby.

It can easily be used as a reference while enriching from other Italian resources. Many videos and audios of the book can also be found on Youtube.

It is a really nice book, unfortunately everything is in Italian which makes this book more difficult to use. I am giving 3 stars, because of the fact that there isn't enough grammar explanation (if there is then only in Italian) and at some point this book seems to be useless.
