Save Room

He hasn't set foot in a kitchen in three years. She's about to turn the quietest room in the house back into the loudest.

In Marigold, Georgia, Sunday dinner is sacred. Chef Novalee Rhone is just there to cook it.

After losing her Atlanta restaurant, and most of herself with it, Novalee takes a standing job making Sunday dinner for the big, loud Calogeras family. It's supposed to be rent money. It's not supposed to be the eldest son.

Theron Calogeras hasn't crossed a kitchen threshold since his wife died. He stands in the doorway instead, every Sunday, watching a woman bring a room back to life. Soon he's showing up two hours early to fix hinges that aren't broken. She knows the hinges aren't broken. Neither of them says why.

But fourteen Sundays is long enough to build something neither of them planned, and when the life Novalee lost comes knocking with a second chance in another city, they'll both have to decide what they're actually hungry for.

A sweet, slow-burn BWWM small-town romance about grief, grace, one very opinionated nine-year-old with a rock collection, and belonging after loss. Closed-door, all the feels, guaranteed happily ever after.

Save Room begins the Marigold Brothers series — four brothers, one twelve-seat table, and the women worth saving a seat for.

Coming back for Seconds: Potbelly Edition

This was such a lovely story. It started with a picture of short ribs and unfolded from there. I love the family dynamic and how present everyone was in the story. Through it all, they found courage to move forward, become better versions of themselves while making the best decisions possible. To finally sitting at a 12 top table enjoying home made food. Definitely was enough space for everyone. I enjoyed reading, thank you. Bravo 👏

I loved this story. Novalee and Theron both had things they needed to heal from, and watching them slowly find their way to each other felt genuine. The family, the food, and the romance made this such a warm, satisfying read.

This was such a sweet grown-up romance. I loved that neither character was looking for someone to save them. They just slowly became part of each other's lives. Theron and Novalee were perfect together, and his family made the story even better.
