3.5 Finding a Brute Stars
Every once in a while I like to pick up a super indie-author. I was instantly drawn to the cover and summary. Limits of Destiny is the first book of a series, but do not be fool, this is a full novel (I thought it was a serial as well). So you will get plenty of steam, action and story. This is a standalone, but it is also part of a series. Meaning, you can read this book and be satisfied and you can also continue the series.
Alexia goes to a party and runs into Alexander. Alexander is rich, successful and very alpha. Its insta-lust at first sight and things get steamy real quickly. You are thrown in the thick of it when you start the read. Within the first 10% Alexia and Alexander meet and have good times. I’m a fan of the Heroine and Hero interacting soon in the book. I like to skip the fluff and get to the good stuff.
Alexia and Alexander have crazy attraction towards each other, but Alexia knows what kind of person Alexander is. He’s had many women before her and how could the girl not feel self-conscience? Cute right? Alexia forms strong feelings towards Alexander a bit too soon in the book. I was a fan of the instant attraction, I just prefer Alexia to let Alexander chase her a bit more.
The book is set in Switzerland and it adds a new and interesting element to the story. As the story progresses, the relationship between Alexia and Alexander goes deeper. Alexander becomes very protective of Alexia and his jealous side is brought out. I like a possessive male, but at times, it’s best to pick which battles to fight. I was fine with Alexander’s strong feelings towards Alexia, but at some parts it’s distracting, just to me though.
The steam in the book is addictive and you will not be disappointed. Overall, a standout debut novel. I recommend.

This is my first book by the author and definitely will not be my last and I must say I was not at all disappointed by the story.
It was captivating, fascinating, interesting and engrossing.
"I took several deep gulps of air, which filled my lungs, and it was as if each pore on my skin had absorbed some of his musk."
Alexia is a financial analyst in of the biggest banks in Zurich, Switzerland. She's been in relationships before but never fell in love. One day she attends a party on persuasion of her best friend Lily and there she meets a devastatingly handsome, multimillionaire, successful and very alpha man, Alexander Kraftberg. The attraction between two of them is spontaneous.
"One look was all he needed to win over any women. Everything about him oozed confidence, greatness, power and sex appeal."
So basically this story is of love at first sight. The passion between the two of them was incredibly hot. Since its the first time that Alexander has gotten in a relationship so we are met with a very alpha man which seems undoubtedly swooning. There are loads of questions yet to be answered and I'm looking forward to read Volume 2 of the book. The past of Alexander is yet to be revealed specially his relationship with his younger brother.

PLOT:
At a party of Lily’s uncle’s 60th birthday, Alexia met Alexander. Instantly smitten, he persuaded the never-been-into-one-night-stand Alexia only to find out fling isn’t his thing… anymore. From there, Alexander did all what he knows in captivating the perfect woman. Unfamiliar pang of jealousy and possessiveness, he struggles to convince Alexia that he can change his ways. Alexia, as naïve yet determined as she was, couldn’t just push Alexander away. Scared of what’s going to happen, whether Alexander will come to his senses that he’s not fit to be in a relationship, she compromises by giving her full trust to him. And so the plot thickens.
Alexia’s old boyfriends rekindled. Alexander’s past came out. Amidst all this, the two held on to each other to obliterate the barriers in their relationship.
The story ends as a cliffhanger.

OVERALL COMMENT:
Boy what a nice gift this is.
I don’t usually come across novels written by indie authors because if you will notice I’m still a newbie in GR which means I’m yet to explore more and find authors and their works. So to come across Ms. Branson’s is a nice surprise.
Prior to reading Limits of Destiny, I’ve read Sebring and The Score. I was still high (and okay, panting) from Nick and Dean when I turn the pages of this book. To my surprise, almost the same effect goes to Alexander Kraftberg.
The plot was good. Perfectly-crafted billionaire hero, reserved and career-woman heroine, hot scenes, interesting climaxes. Suffice it to say, it has potential. The two things that concerned me, though, was the story pacing and how it was written and delivered. It seemed to me everything was “instant”. Their first sex scene was instantaneous, and I’m totally down with that. But the pacing still has to have its phases. Otherwise, it’s going to be a trigger for improbable romance. This is also why I find Alexander’s controlling nature and possessiveness out of kilter. At times, it moved me in a way Alexia was neck-wrung and vulnerable. Whilst Alexia seemed to have too much drama in her bones, is flaky, and has a lot of ex-bf hung ups.
RECOMMENDED TO:
Readers who are into insta-love and lust that can bypass average writing style, can tolerate mediocre dialogue, and can just enjoy a book without subconsciously beta reading it.

We’re in Zurich.
Alexia is a 24 year old american, working for a swiss bank. And she wants to fall in love. She has never been in love before, she had 3 boyfriends, but didn’t love them. But today might be the day she’ll meet the love of her life.
Only she’s not supposed to fall for him, says her best friend...he’s the biggest womanizer in the country: multimillionaire Alexander.
But as soon as they meet they’re both in love. Well, if you believe in such things as love at first sight. But Alexia does, it never happened to her before.
They start seeing each other. And it’s great - lots of amazing sex etc. But Alexander is a tiiiny bit too much. He wants to own her and control her and be her one and only friend and confidante.... She loves him, and tells him he’s insane if he thinks that this is how things will go with them. And he loves that. Nobody ever talked back to him. They always just fell into his arms, or lap, and wanted to stay there forever.
I really liked the story. I liked that is was set in Zurich and not Seattle or wherever. While I love Seattle or wherever, I always love it when an author finds a new city to take us to.
I liked the covers of the books - but I don’t like the titles. If I were just browsing amazon and going by title and cover, I probably would’ve mistaken this series as something paranormal - vampire-ish :/ No idea why though. It just sounds weird to me - or not vampires - maybe outer space!!!
Anyway - the story was interesting and I think I will read the other 2 books too, to see where and how the story ends.
BUT....
I didn’t love the writing. :(
It felt too cut off at times. Too many short sentences and most of them totally redundant, like at what time she gets up, that she’s making coffee, opening her terrace doors, goes into the shower, opens that door, takes this brand of wine and this brand of chocolate, too many descriptions of things I really don’t need to know about.
I love it when authors give us details, like which perfume they wear or the street name, but it was just too much here.
BUT - the story was really ok - you notice that Sharlyn probably read Fifty Shades and decided to write her own romance...but.... - hire a new editor, cut out all redundant lines, put all 3 books into one and we might have a realllly great Romance! I will totally come back and read it if that happens!!!!
AND PLEASE DON'T LET MY WEIRD FEELINGS ABOUT THIS BOOK STOP YOU FROM ONE-CLICKING SEXY ALEXANDER THE SWISS MILLIONAIRE!!!!!!

What can I say about Limits of Destiny...I won a copy of this book and I have to say, I would have gladly paid for it (I purchased the other 3 ;) ) It was everything I look for in a book...sweet love, heart-pounding sex scenes and characters that I wish were friends (or more!) I would heartily recommend this book to anyone!

This book ended up being much more than I expected! I love the fact that the author set the story in Switzerland, I think that added an interesting twist and a level of believability that is lacking in some similar novels. I'm more willing to accept a 29 year old millionaire, hotelier living in Zurich than here in the US, lol.
The relationship that develops between Alexia and Alexander has a genuine quality to it that I just adored. Unfortunately, like in all good books, things aren't always what they seem.
While this book does a wonderful job building the foundation between the two main characters I wonder if book 2 will tear them apart.
I will definitely be reading the rest of this series to see what happens with Alexia and Alexander.

I enjoy finding new authors, and hope that I enjoy their books, and this one was. no exception. At first, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this book or not but it was really good. The book follows Alexia, who goes to a birthday party and meets Alexander. She falls fast, and hard, for the playboy and sparks quickly fly. As they get to know one another, their relationship begins to develop more and more. Will be interesting to see what happens in book 2.

This is such a sweet story, at least it is for me you remember that feeling you had when you were starting to read those first chapters of 50SoG? Well, I have that feeling for a while…wanna know why?
Alexia

Works in a big bank, has an amazing job and apartment in other words…every girl dream life=D
But her love life has been a bit down, given that she hasn’t found real love.
But be careful with what you desire for, ‘cause when that desire comes true…there’s no way getting out of it…and thanks to her amazing life and having a millionaire friend that always get her to meet some rich and hot guys…well there’s no wonder of her maybe finally falling for someone…someone like Alexander Kraftberg.
Alexander
A millionaire and mysterious billionaire, that isn’t the one to blame in order of his many sexcapades, given that he was also blessed with a body and skills that any girl would throw themselves willingly to him, allowing him to make every single one of his hot fantasies come true except for one: LOVE real Love…something he never asked for, but that when it actually happened…he wouldn’t be able to let go.
But of course at 29 years old and always used to have his way in every single aspect of his life, and never be denied or rejected of anything…. Finding himself in a real relationship with a woman that has never being used to be told what to do with her own life will prove to be more than what he ever thought would be able to tolerate.
My main thoughts?
Their relationship come out of instalove well, insta-attraction I guess, that will soon turn up to be love…love that will soon make Alexander think that he has the very right to command and say in every single way of Alexia’s life…which woul frequently be found sexy as a trait of a hot alpha dom…but fuck not that much when he goes overboard crazy JEALOUS just of her breathing the same air of a randomn guy that happens to be one feet close to her!!! (yeah ! jealousy could be cute as long it isn’t go to that extent! On my opinion, of course!)
And Alexander is playing the mysterious man role, where he has been hiding a very deep & important part of himself from Alexia…that will soon come to slap her in the face and will risk to loosing her by the claws of this secret and everyone that involves it.
So, now this has a cliffhanger …not a crazy one,( well if you are like me and can’t stand to wait, then that’s alright ‘cause the other books are already published so just go grab the next one =D ) but one that will surely show you that now these 2 persons are about to put their love at test in some serious situations involving Alexander’s trueself and Alexia’s love strength.
Now if you don’t see yet why this reminded me of 50SoG…then I guess…when you read the book you will understand it…but it’s only slightly, though.
And besides the description of all the background, ‘cause duhhhhh! This happens in Zurich will transport you to beautiful places where you will neve leave.
All & All this was a really lovely reading.

This is a must read! You won't be disappointed. It is love at first sight with an Alpha male with a twist. The author really makes you feel like you are in the book, from detailed description to how each person is feeling. Very highly recommended.!!

I liked this book. This is a brand spanking new author for me and I love when I find gems, authors included, that I never had even heard of. And like a few more, this is just one of many new author discoveries I have made this year that I will slide into my back pocket for future references.
This book was amazing and captivating. It was sexy, intense, passionate, intriguing, suspenseful, and definitely one that I will add to my re-read pile for the future. And despite the volumes in this series, this is a full length novel but the story for these two is definitely not over by any means.
This is Alexia and Alexander's story. From the beginning, their attraction is instant. Their chemistry is intense. They both fall fast and hard. But it is not always going to be easy for them. Insecurities. Jealousy. They will have obstacles to face and strides to make to give it a real chance.
Ladies and gents, get ready to swoon and fall for Alexander. The man was amazing... dominant, alpha, intense, but had a rich and full heart. And Alexia, while she frustrated me a lot at times, I understood her concerns and reservations. I'm curious to see where book two takes these two.

This book was amazing and captivating. It was sexy, intense, passionate, intriguing, suspenseful, and definitely one that I will add to my re-read pile for the future. And despite the volumes in this series, this is a full length novel but the story for these two is definitely not over by any means.
This is Alexia and Alexander's story. From the beginning, their attraction is instant. Their chemistry is intense. They both fall fast and hard. But it is not always going to be easy for them. Insecurities. Jealousy. They will have obstacles to face and strides to make to give it a real chance.
Ladies and gents, get ready to swoon and fall for Alexander. The man was amazing... dominant, alpha, intense, but had a rich and full heart. And Alexia, while she frustrated me a lot at times, I understood her concerns and reservations. I'm curious to see where book two takes these two.

So this is my first review and i am doing it because Sharlyn G. Branson (the author) is so so friendly towards us readers and since i gave 5 stars i think it's worth to write a good review! :D

So this is a story of love at first sight, as the story progresses we see the relationship between Alexia and Alexander goes deeper really fast.. Alexander is VERY protective of Alexia and VERY jealous but he's trying his absolute best cause this is his first relationship...Alexia gives hershelf to Alexander in body, mind, heart and soul from the very start...
While there was a lot of sex and sexual talk in this book, there was a beautiful story woven in there that really captivates the reader.
I'm definitely going to read the next book in the series and i hope we get to κnow MORE about Alexander cause I felt like this book had a couple questions left unanswered about him but it was still GOOD...
I really hope you guys like it as much as I did.

Whoa... I was attached in this book from the very beginning and I literally can't put it down..haha... If you are a fan of a beautiful, strong woman and a handsome, alpha, and sexy billionaire well this book is for you.
Can I have my own Alexander Kraftberg...urrgh... He's so handsome, sexy, domineering which I find it hot, sweet, cute and sometimes funny because I know that he didn't experience a relationship before.
“Two nights… without you.” He didn’t hide his disappointment. He leaned his head against the back of the seat and sighed deeply. “Oh God.” He rubbed his face with his hand. “I’m in so deep.”
I love how strong and compassionate Alexia is and I love how she brings herself. That she is a very beautiful person and many guys admire her but she didn't know it. And for me that's what makes her more beautiful. I fell in love with the characters and the story. Even I have a hard time reading some place in this book because it's in Switzerland, it's hard to pronounce.hahaha... But all in all this book have a special place in my book of fame. This is my first book from Sharlyn Branson, I cannot wait to get to part two and explore more from the author.
Limits of Destiny is an emotional tale with a down to earth, hard working woman who's a romantic at heart. Alexia's had a few boyfriends but never loved them they way she believes love should feel.
She meets Alexander Kraftberg and is instantly drawn to him though her best friend warns her away from the king of one night stands she can't deny the pull she feels towards him and does something she's never done before.
Alexander is used to women who will settle for one night an move on, no attachments. A man who's never had relationship meets Alexia and wants her, the more time he spends with her she makes him want more than one night, he has no idea why he wants to try with this woman but he's willing to give a relationship a go.
But Alexander has a past, things that will shock Alexia and make her want to run.
Can two people from different worlds, different lifestyles, find the love that she's looking for and the stability he's always shied away from?
Loved Alexia, she's strong though maybe a tad naive, and Alexander, he's strong, sexy, full of charm and willing to spoil the right woman rotten but he has a strong need to control every aspect of Alexia's life. I'll reserve judgment until I read book two, I'm hoping he eases up a bit on the control factor or I don't see them working out.

Well I for one love sexy, rich alpha males. Especially if they have blue eyes and dark colored hair, yum.
As for the book, I love roller coaster rides and this one took me on it. The insecurity and the doubt of this love story kept me intrigued. Alexia's confidence in herself kept Alex's control to a minimum. Yet their love for one another is infectious. I would recommend this book to anyone.

I hadn't read a book by Sharlyn Branson before and enjoyed it so much that I can't wait to read the next book!
The storyline was about Alexia and Alexander, Alexander is rich and falls for Alexia at first sight but he doesn't want to share his secrets with her which I feel will be to much for her to take in the end. Alexia falls in love with him quickly but is very jealous of his previous sex life.
I could relate with Alexia and would react in the same way. I can't wait to read the next book!

This book intrigued me Alexia was warned that Alexander did not do relationships however she falls in love with him and she does something to him he becomes very possessive of her so that tells me he also is falling for her I loved this story it is so sexy and now I am off to read volume 2.

I received a copy for an honest review.
Okay story. I had a problem with reading it. It seems it was written in formal English for Alexia, and the author was going for an accent for the other characters from Switzerland. Whichever it was the reading didn’t flow easily for me. In the beginning all I could think of was this is a young inexperienced girl, and the poor thing was being taken in by a player. I kept waiting for Alexander to screw up, and get caught cheating. I’m guessing that will be in book 2.
There was lots of relationship angst with these two. The constant jealousy of each other made the story feel like the genre should be young adult. But, the sex was explicit, so I’m guessing that would not be right. I’m not sure how two extremely beautiful people that are so jealous of each other can have a lasting relationship. And, what happens when the beautiful girl with the perfect body has babies, and doesn't have a perfect body anymore? Does that beautiful man turn back into a player again? Oops, sorry I got off track on my own story…LOL…
The heroine’s character was well developed, but our hero not very much. I always like detail on the characters.

I received an ARC from the author for an honest review. This book was good. There are a lot of little details that I appreciated in the story. I had expectations and in the end I didn't get disappointed. Strong alpha male and insta-love!
There was quite some things that I struggled with while reading. I enjoyed the interaction of both MC's but I didn't experience the emotions that I should have felt. I didn't fully connect with Alexander and the depth of his feelings. It would have been great to have his POV.

4.5 stars.... I received a copy of this from the author, but was unable to get the link to open. Therefore, just go and buy it....
It was a really good read... I could have totally backhanded Julia a lot throughout the book! But then again. Alexia was so wishy washy… But again, she almost had to be given that her best friend told her to stay away from him. But I truly believe that Alexander was true to her and was changing. A good book….. that left me hanging….

A love at first sight, sexy read with an alpha hero. I really enjoyed this book. The details and descriptions make me want to visit to Switzerland. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
