Marcella - She accepts a job as a housekeeper giving her access to 'almost' every room in the house.
Jasper Sloan - He is the owner of the house, and a master manipulator who 'loves' locked doors.

This book will have you on the edge of your seat, desperately trying to figure out what’s really going on. It's packed with twists and turns, suspense, intrigue, lies, mind games, and plenty of surprises, and will keep you guessing from beginning to end.

Will Marcella finally uncover the answers she came looking for?

If you love psychological thrillers that keep you turning the pages, this one is definitely for you! I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

An unsettling, terrifying novel. Marcella- frightened, uncertain, questioning. Mr Sloan - a manipulative employer. Petra - a quiet, silent cook. And a house that holds dark secrets not meant to be found. One wonders if Marcella is going mad or is Mr. Sloan guiding her down the wrong path? Ms Vane has written a psychological thriller in a class all its own. Highly Recommended.

Why was she in the lake ~
Marcella Vexler is a woman following a trail to find out what happened and why Sena was found in the lake.
What she finds is something that she had absolutely no idea about, and it was not Sena in the lake!
This was a good story, though I found it distracting with too many side thoughts.
Thank you, Ruby Vane, for a good story.
I received a complimentary arc copy of this book and this is my honest review.

WOMEN FOUND IN THE LAKE - A gripping, psychological thriller this is not. I found it boring with plenty of unnecessary repetition throughout the paragraphs and chapters. I had a hard time reading this book since I cared less about the characters and their silly charades. Maybe if the author wrote about her field, IT? Source: RubyVaneBooks. 2*

I read this novel as a ARC and the is my review. Marcella takes the housekeepers job for the estate where her sister worked before she disappeared. Sena was found in the lake and Marcella is determined to get the truth. Does she find truths or lies. A twisted story, plenty of twists/lies. An interesting story, a must read!

I read this on bookfunnel. Different than I expected. Intriguing. But, my mind is still trying to figure it out after I finished. Psychological, for sure!

Received as an ARC from the author.

Talk about a twisty he-said/she-said story! Every chapter gives you a puzzle piece and you’ll never figure out how they fit together.
