False advertising.

This book is about a guy who is a criminal investigator for the Army who is *NOT* Amish, and a woman who writes political speeches in D.C. (also is *NOT* Amish) and the house she inherits from her military father who is *NOT* Amish. Daddy's lawyer in town overseeing the land/house is shady, likely the bad guy, and also *NOT* Amish.

Ergo, this is *NOT* an Amish story. The house is on 'Amish Rd.'... like that counts.

The spirituality is questionable, the characterizations dry, and the worship of all things military over the top. I wasn't good with it. I started it, it sat for two weeks, and I decided that if I couldn't pick it up in that time, it wasn't worth keeping.

DNF. And don't call your book 'Amish Danger' if it's not about Amish people, hello. It just peeves the readers off.

I enjoyed the twist and turns of this setting in an Amish community. After being told her father died when Carrie York was just a baby, she finds out he had only died in the past few weeks in an “accidental death”. After arriving at her new home she has inherited from her father Carrie discovers a dead body in the yard . Her neighbor, Tyler Zimmerman offers to protect Carrie after several attempts are made on her life. Tyler has his on demons to overcome from his past. With Tyler’s help will Carrie be safe from her enemies?

I really enjoyed this clean, Love-inspired, romantic suspense. I bought this at a local Goodwill store and I voluntarily chose to review this story. I've given this story a 5* rating. This story will grab you and hold you in your seat. This has a lot of action, feels, and violence in it. Warning if abuse is a trigger for you. Both are partially broken from their younger lives and are afraid to trust each other completely but who is healing who. This touches on the Amish a little but more on the military. A real engrossing story.

I liked it. A bit different, as I read a lot of Books set in Ish communities, but this was much different with the military base, and the Amish community, and an old Antebellum mansion all in one very small community.

I really liked this book. It kept me guessing who the suspect was until the end. Everytime I thought I knew who it was they were cleared from the suspect list.

MY REVIEW
This is only the third book of Debby's that I've read and I really like the way she intertwines the characters lives. I have only read the three that have an Amish involvement, and I see that the next book is another one, "Plain Truth". The other books in this series, I'm sure, would also intrigue me but I have so many books on my TBR list (on my books shelves and around my desk, lol) that I have to sometimes pick and choose. There are times I close my eyes and pick, lol. Anyway I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mysteries. Debby does a great job of keeping you guessing.

Giusti always handles the military aspect of her novels with such grace and passion. She honours the men and women who serve in each story. That's evident in this novel as well. And I love the addition of an Amish setting -- creates an interesting contrast.

Tyler arrives on the scene with a bit of prejudice against Carrie which creates some delicious tension as things heat up between the two. Both are burdened by issues from their past and that makes them wary of trust. Makes things mighty complicated when Carrie becomes the target of a killer. Trust needs to develop in order for them to deal with the imminent danger lurking around every corner, A stellar romantic suspense that will keep you on your toes right to the very end.

You won't regret reading this book!

This book kept moving from the beginning to end. Perfect combination of action, suspense, and love. The writer does a wonderful job describing the main characters' journey from desperation to God's peace. The setting makes this story even more endearing. I can't wait to read more of military series!

Debby Giusti has written another edge-of-your-seat military investigation story. Plain Danger is a story that not only has the military aspect, and the romance aspect, but Ms. Giusti easily weaves the Amish into the story. From the first page to the last page, Plain Danger is riveting, full of suspense and one the reader will be hard pressed to put down until finished.

I always enjoy reading books by Debby Guisti, and this was no exception. From page one the excitement never diminishes. She weaves military and non-military and Amish together to work together to solve a murder.

This book has everything including romance.

Debby Giusti's novels are always an enjoyable blend of romance, danger, and faith. This story takes military investigations into Amish country in a believable way. She does her research in both areas!

typical Amish mystery/love story. You know from the first page what the ending will be, but still light and refreshing when that is what you need.

First of all, the book cover will make you think it takes place in the nineteenth century or thereabouts. Instead, it takes place in modern times. What had me turning the pages was when Carrie gets beaten up. I loved reading how Tyler takes care of her and protects her even better than he did before.
