This is a Steamy Romantic Suspense, and this is the first book in the Hotshot Heroes series. I have read some of the other books in this series, but I decided to go back and start from the beginning. There was a ton of flirting and connection between the two main characters. I really loved all the characters in this book. I really enjoyed this quick read, and I loved getting to know the hotshot heroes in this series. I cannot wait to keep reading this series.

Fiona O'Brien has vowed never to date a man with a dangerous career while firefighter Wyatt Andrews has sworn off women who manipulate their partners into giving up the jobs they love. Can these two unlikely lovers find common ground?
A thoroughly delightful read. The title is very apt considering Fiona and Wyatt's scorching hot chemistry and sizzling banter.
Both Fiona and Wyatt are engaging characters and manage to avoid any unnecessary angst stemming from a lack of communication. Their conflict is resolved satisfactorily with very little angst.
My one caveat is the author's repeated description of Fiona as manipulative, which does not actually play out in the narrative. Fiona is honest and open about her plans, so the word choice is questionable.
Looking forward to reading more by this author.

Fiona was a tight laced insurance saleswoman.Her brother wants to be a firefighter but she doesn't want him to be..So she goes to Wyatt to talk him out of it..their first meeting she slaps his face..later he kisses her..That is when she can't quit thinking of him..They are hot for each other..but she is using him for sex...he knows that and he can't get enough of her...but than a fire does happen and she realizes she loves him and doesn't want to let him go..so they work through all that..a really good book

Did not enjoy the start of the book where we are introduced to the uptight, fearful, controlling heroine, but I began to enjoy the story about half way through. Hero, hunky and adorable with a heart, but of course not wanting a commitment. The sex scenes as promised by the title are Blazingly Hot and the best part of the story. 2.5 Stars

Awesome start to this series. I don't know how I missed this book when it originally came out. Wyatt is the kind of man you want to bring home and make feel better for all that he has been through in his life. He's a sensitive man who hides his feelings so he won't have to endure painful situations. Fiona is controlling, but only because she had so little control in her youth. Glad she was able to start making the transition to letting loose a little more. Can't wait to read the rest of this series.

I read Cody's book (#3) first and I liked that one. This one...well, it was just okay. The premise for Wyatt and Fiona's push-pull attraction and their reasoning for trying not to fall for each other was honestly rather silly.

Definitely lived up to the title, and the development of Fiona and Wyatt's relationship was paced really well and full of sexy encounters.
