The follow up novella to Broken.

Of course, Lord. What would you like me to take care of for You? Whatever it is, I shall do it.
~ Jonathon, Bound

I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life that I wish I could take back. There’s been so much pain and hurt, all of which I have caused. I can only pray that God helps me to be a better man. A long time ago I knew who He was, but things happened and I walked away from Him. Now I am coming home, and I am not going to do it alone. I love Evelyn Miller, a woman of God who follows His ways. My prayer is that she would be mine, but first I have to be the man she deserves. I will go back to church, get a job, and procure a home to put down roots. My brothers will see the change in me, and I will earn their trust once again. I will be the man of God again. There will be a homecoming. If it is God’s Will, Evelyn will be mine.

Continue Evelyn and Jonathon’s journey as they walk the road God intended for them. Reunite with John, Phoenix, and Anna as their love of family grows stronger. Follow David as he waits patiently on Evelyn to decide if he is her future.

Awww... Just like the previous books in the Bloom series, this book is amazing! From the start up to the last, I was hooked. The way the story started is good. At first, I was kind of pissed at Jonny but as the story goes, he redeemed himself to me though. With Jonny's reputation to his brothers, they are not his #1 fan. And with Evelyn and David's relationship, Jonny will find it difficult on what will his next step for bringing Evelyn back into his life. With all the things that will happen, unexpected person will pop up into the story.. =)
Ms. Cathy nailed it again! I can't wait to see what will happen next!

Once again the author tells a strong story full of emotion with amazing characters that leaves you wanting more when you read the last word. This is Jonathon's story in the Bloom Series. Jonathon has hurt his brothers and is in love with Evelyn but she wants a man of God who'll follow his ways with her and Jonathon isn't sure he can be that man. Evelyn loves him but also loves his brother David though not in the same way but he is a man of God.

Jonathon also needs to find forgiveness in his brothers and the hardest one to reach is John. At the same time he needs to prove to Evelyn that he can be the man she needs and she must decide if the love she feels for him is enough to wait for him to make his way back to God. We also see that Phoenix has gained inner strength due to the love of John and Anna.

This is a story of a man finding his way back to his family and his family working through the process of forgiveness. Join the Westerlings and Evelyn as they have to make decisions that will affect all of them, a wife and mother start to find her inner strength, and the love a parent has for their child. All of this and more has the reader wanting more. The next book can't come soon enough for me! I recommend you read the stories in order to understand all the characters fully. I received this in exchange for a honest review.

Cathy Jackson has done it once again. This book is filled with so many emotions from highs to lows. It's the story of the love that needed to be earned between Jonathan Westerling and Evelyn Miller. The struggle of becoming a man of God and the love that Evelyn Miller needed in her life. Cathy shows how hard Jonathan works trying to earn forgiveness from his brothers John and David. I recommend the book as it does not stand alone. Please read the series in order BLOOM, BLOSSOM, and BROKEN and BOUND. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Cathy. You are awesome.

I had so many mixed feelings about the book throughout the first half of it. It's hard to even describe how I felt. First off, this is the first book of the series I have read so that likely leads to the confusion I had at first. There wasn't much of a 'reminder' of what happened in the prior stories until after some of the instances had been mentioned a few times.

One instance is Jonny had wronged Phoenix. That I learned. But how? What exactly did he do? It was mentioned as if the reader should already know. So those who have read the previous books, they of course will know, and it will not be of a big deal to them. To the reader starting in the middle of the series, please stop, go back and start from the very first book. You will be grateful you did.

The story was also slow in the beginning, mind you it was do to my negligence of not reading the first three books. But about half way through the book, I couldn't put it down. I was reading at work, while helping kids with homework, and even an hour past my own bedtime last night.

Once I got past the names (Jonny a.k.a. Jonathon has a brother named John. That was the oddest thing I had ever heard of in one family.) and got past the many different women and wrong doings in Jonny's 'past' life, I was able to enjoy the story much more. There were so many questions I had, but they were answered before the book finished. Again, I wished I had taken the time to go back and read the prior books.

I loved how the characters evolved. All with their own backgrounds and stories, they were definitely not flat voices. They all had lives and reasons and theories, and in time, they all came to find what they were looking for, no matter how rough the road was to get there.

Jonny, on the other hand, he had a lot of wrongs to be forgiven, at least he hoped he would be forgiven. He had hurt his brothers, stolen from them, ripped apart marriages and courtships, and within the midst of it all, he had his own heartbroken by unimaginable ways. Would he be able to overcome it all? Would he cause more issues by butting into an engaged couple's life?

When push came to shove, Jonny knew what he wanted, he only had no clue how to get there. When he finally allowed himself to break and open his heart and mind to the Lord, it was then that he was able to find the answers he had been searching for his entire life, and one of those answers was Evelyn. But would Evelyn be able to look past his wrong doings? Would she be able to accept that he was who he said he was? Or would he have to find a way to prove it to her? And if so, how would he do it?

I enjoyed the Christian dynamic of the story, even though some of the 'appearances' seemed odd. This is only due to me trying to personalize it within my own heart and trying to picture my talks with the Lord in the same way. Everyone of faith has a different perception of how spiritual talks and prayers are. Just because Cathy Jackson's perception and vision is different than mine does not mean she is wrong. That is the beauty of faith. We all see it differently through our own eyes and beliefs. When I stopped trying to personalize it to my own life, I was able to enjoy the author's vision even more.

I now need to go back and read the first three books and then await the next one. While I now know the story of the previous books, I still want to experience it through the eyes of the characters at the moment it was all happening.

YE WHO ARE WEARY COME HOME

First off, this is a continuing saga of the Westerling brothers and their families, and to fully grasp the dynamics, are best to be read in order and usually leave us with a minor cliffhanger. These Bloom Series books are packed full of emotions, love, jealousy, anger, confusion, covetousness, bitterness, and even redemption. Jonathan Westerling is a scoundrel, he see, he wants, he takes, damned be the consequences. Raised and lived as a man of God, he turned away and decided it was all about Jonny! But even the prodigal son eventually ask God for forgiveness and returns to his family. Is Jonathan a truly changed man? Why is it, the women he always wants a relationship with one belonging to his brothers? Evelyn Miller, divorced mother of two small children is engaged to Jonathan's brother, David, a man that loves her and her children. Why oh why does she also feel love for bad-boy troublemaker Jonathan Westerling? Has Jonny really and truly changed? But what about her children, he doesn't act like he cares about them at all? Can God turn one of His children completely around and make a good and godly man, husband and father for her? Can the rift between the Westerling brothers be mended? What will happen with John and Phoenix and the precious new life she is carrying? Disclosure: I received an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts, opinions, and ratings are my own.

>Book Review – Bound –

>I am an independent reviewer. This is the fourth book in the Bloom series.

>This story concentrates on Jonathon and Evie's relationship. She has to learn to trust the changes in Jonathon. The biggest issue Jonathon has is his fear of Evie's kids. Evie is a package deal and he only wanted her. A face to face with God, changes Jonathon forever. His fear of the children is gone and he is finally ready to be everything to Evie that he needs to be.

>The face to face with God was the only part of the book I found hard to read. I believe God speaks to us. I have heard him. I didn't like the way Jonny heard God from outside of himself. It felt too paranormal and I hope that scene doesn't keep readers from the book. That would be a shame. If Jonny had heard God in his own head, I think it would be more relatable.

>The scenes with Phee and John were wonderful, as expected. I wish there were some scenes with Jonathan and Evie's kids, to show his commitment to being a father. This book is appropriate for a young adult to adult audience. It will make more sense if the previous three books are read first.

>I am giving this book 5 stars.

I am not a huge reader of books that involve religion/spirituality in the Christian genre. It has to have a special blurb to catch my attention because I generally feel these books can be too preachy and in your face. Not the case in this book. Although I haven't read the other books in this series I had no problem following Bound. It does make me want to go back now and read the back stories to some of these characters. They have awesome chemistry and the author does a very good job making the characters come alive. You can feel the struggle of the characters and how much their faith affects their lives. My only critique was that you didn't see much of Johnny and Evie interact as a family. Since that was a struggle of Johnny's I was curious to see more of that. I am hoping there is another book so we can get a better view of how he is a father to Evie's kids. Overall a very uplifting story. It's a story of transformation and learning to love yourself first before expecting others to..

This is book 4 in the Bloom series by Cathy Jackson. I will say that I wish I had read the series in order I found the first few chapters confusing having not done so. But, all in all it is a wonderfully heartwarming story of love, loss, betrayal, and hopefully redemption.

Jonny is back in town and hoping to reunite with his true love Evelyn. He does however have major fences to mend with his family and friends whom he has hurt along his path in life. He has committed what may be unforgiveable sins against many of them.

Jonny lets everyone know that he is back wants to prove he is a changed man and that he wants Evie to be his wife. First, stumbling block is his brother David, he just happens to be engaged to Evie. David is a god fearing stable man and he tells Evie that he will let her make her own decision but he wants her to pray and have God show her the way.

Ms. Jackson, writes with passion and fluidity that drag you in make you feel like you are walking the path with Jonny and Evie. You will feel conflicted right along with her. Will that life that David promises her and her children be the one she chooses, it is safe and warm, or will she choose Jonny who proves himself to everyone and takes her away to forever love, understanding herself and what it means to be a wife and understanding that the love a parent feels for their child is like no other.

If you are in the market for a romance that is more than a romance, but a book of hope and forgiveness and learning to trust in God. This one is definitely worth the time. I will be adding the others.

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

This is book 4 in this series. It can be read as a stand alone but I highly suggest you read the other three first as they are wonderful and give you the story of the characters.

What a beautiful, emotional, and very heartfelt love story about persistence, love, inner strength, growth and determination.A sweet story about a man coming back to his family.Jonathan wants to prove to Evelyn that he is a good man worth of her love. But he seems scared of her children forgetting that her an they come as a package deal. Although Evelyn loves him she also loves his bro David who is a man of god, what she wants in a man. Although David, the only brother who isn't arrogant, is the definite safe choice for her although she seems to love Jonathan in a deeper and different way. Jonathan is determined to seek forgiveness from his brothers John and David but they do not make it easy for him. The question is will he be able to get over his fear of Evelyn's children? Will Evelyn stay with her safe choice David or give into her desires for Jonathan.

I loved this book. Cathy Jackson has an amazing and beautiful way with her words and her views of love. I literally felt so much love while reading this. I found myself genuinely smiling big at many parts in this book. I csnnot wait to read many more books by her.

Lets see what can I say about this book . Let me start by saying Cathy has done it again. I have a vested interest in these characters since book one . I feel like they are all part of my family.
This is the continuation of Johnny and Evie's story. Johnny is trying hard to become what Evie wants him to be . But she is torn between two men. Both brothers and she needs to figure things out. Will she pick the right man for her .
Cathy has written such strong characters that are complex but so sweet and caring. The Westerling men are all amazing men who love their women and have a faith in God that is non wavering. The women Phee and Evie have been through hell and finally have come to love and acceptance . Evie is torn between the two men David and Johnny , one is the perfect man and the other trying to find his way back.
Cathy takes us on a journey through the highs and lows and back up to the highs. You will shed some tears and have some giggles . But you will be sucked into the story and you will want them to all have their HAPPILY EVER AFTERS. So check it out if you want a series that has heart and soul and will make you hug your family just a little harder after you are done .

What a treat, to read this author. Every time I pick up one of her books I know I am going to be glued to it. This one is no different. Her writing is well done and the plot as well as the story is spot on.

For those of you that are like me, not religious, but like to read a book without sexual overtones, want a good clean reading, or you feel that this book will throw god in your face too much. It doesn't. They talk with god, pray, and so much more. But it is not IN YOUR FACE kind of stuff. That's one thing about Cathy's books I love. I can be a sideliner or a non believer and still read this awesome book, and get so much out of them.

Take a moment and read this book. It is a good old fashion story with lots of love in it.

This book is a bout second chance and forgiveness. The character Jonathon has done somethings in his life he he regrets especially what he had done to his brothers. Now he's back and wants to turn his life around and seek forgiveness from those he wronged. His journey has also has taken him back to the Lord and he wants his new spiritually path to lead him to the man Evelyn deserves in her life. Evelyn now must choose which brother owns her heart and will be the best for her children. This book is a great example of how human we are and we just have to have faith to help guide us.

Jonny is back, but he has one thing on his mind...to change and win Evie. But first he has to find forgiveness with his family and friends, and also his self. Evie is in love with 2 men, 2 brothers. One is steady, loving. The other is fighting his inner demons, but trying to find his way. With the help of prayer and listening to God speaking to him, Jonny has his biggest ally. But will past sins be too much? Sometimes things happen for a reason, but putting your trust in something higher helps overcome all.

This is actually the first book I've read in the series, even though it is book 4. There was not much that I couldn't catch up on. Obviously there was mention of things I'm assuming are from previous books in the series, but nothing that I couldn't deal with. This story was about so much hope that it rattled my core! The feels in this one!!! It was wondeful. I will definitely be checking out the rest of the series. I hope book 5 comes quickly!! 4.5 Stars!

Bound by author Cathy Jackson is the latest chapter in the Westerling family journey. Bound is filled with suspense, excitement, hope, love and redemption. As with all of her books, you find yourself cheering for the characters as though they live next door. You walk with them as they make tough decisions and grow in their chosen lives. The Westerling men and women they love are unforgettable and truly become part of your family. Your spirit will be lifted by following the life of John and Phee.

What another wonderful novel by Cathy Jackson. This is the fourth book in the Bloom series (Bloom, Blossom, Broken, and now Bound.) I would suggest reading them in order to get the full experience of the saga. Cathy's characters are so complex and well written that I feel I know them. The reader is not just reading their story, but experiencing it with them. The struggle for forgiveness is extremely well written and takes you on an emotional journey. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

I did receive this novel as a free ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I have read the other books in this series. This forth novel does not disappoint.

Following our brothers, John, David and Johnny. In our past stories we followed John & Phoenix as they began their lives together. Johnny has always been a wanderer, never knowing we're he might show up. Johnny tried to break things up between John & Phoenix, by kissing her. Although that didn't break John & Phoenix apart at all, it did drive a wedge between Joh & Johnny.

In this novel, Johnny is trying to earn his brothers trust again. Johnny has seen what the Lord has done in their lives and he wants a positive change in his life as well. Johnny knows he must make amends with both brothers and Phoenix in order for the change to happen in his life. Johnny has fallen for David's fiancée, Evie, who knows she also wants Johnny. How can he make his change to become a follower of Christ when he needs to take David's fiancée away from him?

Evie is torn between David who is already a Godly man, and Johnny, the family wanderer, whom is trying to change his life. Evie knows she needs to choose between the two brothers but will she be able to? Evie wants the man who will love her, and her two children. Is Johnny ready to love her and the children? Will he be able to change and accept the Lord and bring peace and love back into his family?

This is a trial of the heart and faith.

I really enjoyed this story from Ms. Jackson. I am looking forward to her next novels!

HOLY SMOKES! What do you get when you combine the three Westerling men and two beautiful women? Sparks galore! If you have not read the first three books, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Evie was at the John and Phoenix Westerling home for Christmas and witnessed Jonathan's inapppropriate behaviour and sparks flew. Imagine what Evie is going through, David and Jonathan both have feelings for her and neither is willing to back down. One is good for her and the other appeals to her almost more than oxygen. (Think about it.) Who will win her heart? You have to read it to find out. As is recommended with all of Cathy Jackson's books... GRAB THE TISSUES! Can't wait to see what is coming up!

This was the 1st book by this author I've read. I must say I love the writing style and how refreshingly different it was compared to the books I normally read. I haven't read the other books in this series which was ok as this was a standalone book. Normally when it's a standalone in a series sometimes you may get a bit lost in the story line if you have not read the other books in the series. Not with this one. This was not confusing at all. I connected with the characters right away. The storyline flowed just perfectly. I highly recommend this book and I will indeed check out the other books in the series.
