This book is comprised entirely of facts. No opinion has been rendered. This book is 50 facts on the Confederate flag there are many more facts that you can research. I suggest that you do this to gain an even greater understanding of its origins and meaning. Armed with these facts you can then formulate your own opinion unbiased either way.
I'm a firm believer in this matter that my flag I fly is only that a flag that's part of my history and has been part of 150 years of history. Taking it away or banning it is unnecessary
I enjoyed reading this small book. The section discussing the looks of the flags was a little confusing in that the descriptions were very short and several descriptions were very similar. In spite of this, I would recommend this book for anyone who wants a basic explanation of the flags original designs.
Easy read. No attempt to influence the reader. Without further research, the reader needs to accept the information as true and accurate. It is worth the short investment in time to read.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It's refreshing to see a book that makes no judgment call's about a very controversial issue. It should be read by both sides of the subject.
history of confederate military history of America
I have interesting ideas about confederate history but history has shown that is flags of around untied states of America were not allowed to cross state borders until confederate.
Color pictures and descriptions of the various Confederate flags. Interestingly, the flag flown today was never officially flown as the Confederate flag.
Book is not really a book. More like report written by a high school student.
Thought poorly written there are many truths in this "book". These truths should be taught in our schools along with those truths in the book " the facts the historians leave out".
Succinct, clearly written, well illustrated. At least 48 of the facts were entirely new to me. A great starting place for anyone seeking to know more about the Confederate flag and its history.
