Does forever mean there’s always time for a second chance?
ASHER
I guide souls to the end of their journey. I’m good at my job. I don’t ask questions. Why would I when I believed my story ended long ago?
But memories laid to rest are awakening, drawing me toward a love I have never truly forgotten. With every revelation, the foundations of the afterlife begin to shift, and I am forced to confront a truth more powerful than fate itself.
MADDY
There comes a point when surviving no longer feels like living.
After a lifetime marked by loss, I chose The Bliss, an existence where grief could no longer reach me and every sharp edge of my past was softened into silence.
It was enough. Until it was not.
Some love refuses to die, no matter how deep it’s buried.
Some promises endure beyond death.
And some souls are destined to find one another, no matter how many lifetimes it takes.
A sweeping gothic fantasy filled with mystery, longing, and a love that echoes across centuries, ASHER is the unforgettable second novel in The Lost Souls Chronicles, where every ending is only the beginning of another chance to choose love.
I had the amazing opportunity to listen to Asher and I have to say, I absolutely loved it! I loved that it was multicast and had background noises and all the narrators did amazing. I loved the actual story itself and liked that you still got to see the characters from grim. I also love that this book had good humor and a really good plot
Love love loved getting to learn more about characters we met in Grim! I legit have been waiting for this book! I loved grim so much so my expectations for Asher were quite high but I think DJ and Joe did such a great job meeting my expectations. There was a lot of moments where I wanted to cry, i laughed, i just wanted everything to be good for these poor characters. Asher and Maddy had such a good story and I was so excited to read about them 😭💞
The audio for this was so good. Big D is probably by far still my favorite character, its the hot af attitude. They did a great job of bringing all the characters to life as well as pulling on my heart strings with emotions.
I need the next book immediately though because that ending broke me so asap if you could give me more thatd be great.
Thank you to DJ Krimmer, Joe Arden and Bluenose for letting me read this early!!
I highly recommend this book! As the second release in The Lost Souls Chronicles, I’d definitely suggest reading Grim first to fully understand the story and its world. This paranormal romance is filled with mystery, a haunting atmosphere, dark humor, and some really funny banter.
I loved how much symbolism is woven throughout the story. It adds another layer of depth to the characters, their journeys, and the romance.
What I loved most is how much of real life I found reflected in the characters, just told through their world. So many of the themes felt relatable to life’s journey. I laughed, I cried, and this series has touched my heart in so many ways.
WHAT A CAST! They have done it again with a full stocked cast and new voices to go along with our new characters!
A masterclass in bringing a book to life is how I would explain these audio book!
Asher and Maddy story on page will cut you to the bone but with a full cast it is so immersive it will take you into the world and ruin you! You will laugh, cry, attempt to finish it all in one sitting, and love every single second of it.
The cliffhanger in this was came as a shock I will say and has anticipating the next installment as always!
Joe Arden and DJ Krimmer set the standard in what book and their audio forms should feel like!
I was so wholly unprepared for this to end how it did! I swear this series reads more as poetry than prose. I loved Asher’s story so much and I genuinely cannot wait for the next book. I don’t see this series ever leaving the upper echelon of my book hierarchy. This. Is. Art.
Im obsessed with the audio books for this series! Lots of twists and turns I must say it was a great ride. I could not get enough of this book and I'm at a loss now that I have finished it..
